At Shooting Stars Bromsgrove, children are welcomed into a caring and stimulating environment where their happiness and development are at the heart of everything they do. Conveniently located on Stourbridge Road near the town centre, their nursery provides a vibrant space for early learning and discovery.

Their setting includes four tailored rooms for different age groups, each furnished with high-quality Community Play equipment and engaging educational materials. As children grow, their learning spaces evolve to support a smooth and confident transition into more structured learning, preparing them for school.

They follow a blended approach to learning, combining child-initiated play with adult-supported activities to fully meet the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. This method nurtures independence, creativity, and curiosity while guiding children through key developmental stages.

To support family peace of mind, their nursery is equipped with ParentCam—a secure CCTV system that allows parents to view their child’s day in real time. My daughter has been attending Shooting Stars since she was 9-months-old, and we've never had any problems. She loves coming to nursery, and the staff are very attentive to our needs/wants for her. She has become such a confident little girl and is comfortable with all the staff at the nursery. She
is able to try new and messy activities that she wouldn't get to attempt at home and has so much space in which to explore and develop. We can't thank the staff enough for everything they have done for our little one and strongly recommend Shooting Stars to anyone in need of childcare.

My daughter absolutely loves Shooting Stars, and therefore, so do I! The team are all friendly and welcoming, and she has made some wonderful friends.
I believe the nursery goes above and beyond to make the children feel happy and safe and enables them to grow and get ready for big school. There is
a lot of variety in her day in regards to different activities that she can take part in and great food on offer in the very healthy yet exciting menu. The outside space is one of my favourite parts of the nursery. It is very well thought out and safe to play in.
I have and would continue to recommend Shooting Stars Bromsgrove to other parents and carers.

Having just returned to work after 11-months off and my son starting nursery at 9-months-old, I was very apprehensive about leaving him at such a young age. I cannot fault the staff in the baby room; they have made me feel completely at ease, and now nursery has become such a fun place for my son to
be. When he wasn't so well and a little grumpy, they put my mind at ease and managed to calm him. We love the fact that the food is so varied; he has tried so many things we hadn't even considered giving him - mackerel being one, he now loves it! My son and daughter both go to Shooting Stars, and I am so happy with their development, the staff and the environment. The nursery is bright, fun, modern, and the staff are always happy and friendly. It is clear that all the staff love what they do, and give great care to all the kids and always go
the extra mile to keep the kids entertained with fun, creative tasks. The app is great, and the daily updates and pictures on what the kids do throughout the day always make leaving the kids easier. My son has come on leaps whilst being at the nursery, and I thank the staff so much, as he was very quiet when he first started. Overall, it is a safe, friendly, modern nursery with excellent facilities, and I am so grateful to the staff and all the ongoing support that they give my kids. Highly recommend this nursery to anyone in the Bromsgrove and surrounding areas. To all the staff, thank you for being so amazing and for making my kids smile and have fun every day.

My son started at Shooting Stars two and a half years ago, it was the best decision we’ve ever made. Being first time parents, we were very anxious. But the staff in the baby room made us feel comfortable, and we knew our little boy would be in very safe and capable hands; this feeling has continued
throughout his time at the nursery right up into the pre-school room. All of the staff are extremely knowledgeable, and it is clear that they all care for your child with the highest of standards. They always have smiles, and nothing is ever too much to ask. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone that asks.

My son has been at this nursery for over a year now, and even though we're moving house soon, which is 40-minutes away, I will not be taking my son out of this nursery.
The staff are amazing and have been a huge support for me and my son. My son has such a good bond with everyone. Of course, he has
his favourite, and she has helped us through various milestones, going above and beyond for us, even in her own time.
The nursery itself is full of life and fun. I've been impressed with their monthly topics such as celebrations/remembrance/awareness etc.
I recommend Shooting Stars to everyone I talk to.

As a mother with anxiety, the thought of leaving my son in the care of other people was daunting. After looking around at different places, this is the only one I felt happy with. The staff are amazing and go above and beyond for both your child and you. My son attended here for nearly three years and
loved it. I’m so thankful to all the staff who made us feel welcome and took such good care of my son. By far the best nursery we could have chosen, the only nursery I would use in the future.

Our daughter has just started school after being at Shooting Stars for over 3-years. We have been so impressed with the nursery and how all the staff have cared for our daughter so lovingly. The staff made sure she was prepared and equipped for starting school, which made the transition smooth and stress-free.
The nursery gave her confidence, freedom to express herself and also taught her lots of life skills needed for her development. The staff were always warm, friendly and provided a great handover when we picked her up at the end of the day (as well as posting information about her day on the app). The food choices at Shooting Stars always sounded great, and it is good that they use locally sourced meat. We want to say a big warm thank you to all the team. We will miss you all.

My daughter only started at Shooting Stars nursery in Bromsgrove last month and I couldn’t be happier with how well she is getting on. The nursery is an absolutely wonderful place for every child to be themselves and be able to go off and explore in the garden or inside. My daughter has settled in so
well it feels like she’s been there forever. The staff are so bubbly and welcoming to every child and parent. I couldn’t wish for anything else for my daughter. I never have to worry about anything while she is at nursery and that’s the most important thing. I know she’s in safe hands and is having an amazing time with her friends. She is also learning so much from her time at nursery and she’s so proud of herself, it’s such a relief she’s so happy. She is loving her time at nursery and is always the first one running in the door. She is so happy from the minute she arrives, up until she leaves. I would 100% definitely recommend this nursery to anyone.

Shooting Stars Bromsgrove is my son’s second home.
I was feeling very anxious and guilty about the thought of going back to work and leaving my son at nursery. I had delayed the start for as long as I could.
When the day came, the staff and the manager were so helpful and accommodating. They helped
us both so much; they were so understanding, and they eased the start for us, being in touch regularly.
I can’t thank them enough to provide my son with such great learning activities to develop from. The weekly planned focus is clear, and the families are informed at all times. Also, the parents’ inputs are taken into consideration (such as book suggestions or different cultures’ traditions).
The staff are committed and very professional. They go out of their way to accommodate each child’s requirements (my son speaks Spanish at home with me, and they have always been willing to learn key words to communicate with him in both languages).

Shooting Stars Bromsgrove nursery is such a wonderful place for my son. All of the staff are so friendly, knowledgeable and extremely caring. They show so much compassion for the children and parents and accommodate each child’s needs accordingly.


As a family, we feel secure and happy that our son

has settled so well and his needs have been met above and beyond. His first few months have proved to be the best as he has learnt so much, and overall, I praise the staff in the pre-toddler room of whom have given our son a wonderful start to his early years learning! A special thanks to the manager as nothing is ever too small or too much to ask and has been an asset running a very smooth and stable environment for children and staff.


Another huge thank you to the pre-toddler staff who again I’d like to thank for their care and fantastic effort in planning such lovely activities and 5* communication. You are amazing!

Shooting Stars has looked after both of my children now and I cannot fault the care that has been provided. The staff are all really friendly and both my girls have taken to them all really well. They do some excellent activities too and the food provided is just fantastic. The toddler room staff have

10 out of 10! Great staff, wonderful environment, clean, safe, everything you would wish for your little one. We recently moved to this area and I was quite worried how my daughter would accept a new environment especially after lockdown and also I was told that she is finding it a bit difficult to
adapt and socialise. She had no problems! Staff were so friendly and professional. It looked like everything is so effortless. It made all my worries to go away. My daughter is so so happy, she stands by the door all dressed and ready and waits until we leave the house to go to her "new nursery". She comes back happy too. I can’t thank enough all the girls at nursery who do a wonderful job with the children. I must also say that the manager did everything to support and accommodate to our needs and requests, very positive with everything, thank you!

My son started at Shooting Stars just after his second birthday. He was very nervous to start with but staff were amazing in getting him settled and loving going to nursery! I honestly can’t recommend this nursery highly enough! The rooms are beautiful, clean, modern, spacious and light with a great array of toys to entertain the children. The staff are absolutely amazing! Friendly, nurturing, engaging and form a real connection with the children, treating them as individuals
and taking into account their personal preferences. The meals are always well balanced. I love the CCTV access we have and can check on my child throughout the day, which is a huge benefit to a first time mum!
Overall an absolutely wonderful nursery in all respects and I have watched my daughter grow in confidence and character since joining over a year ago and couldn’t ask for anything more from them!

Sam joined Shooting Stars Bromsgrove as Nursery Manager in June 2024, bringing with her a wealth of experience in Early Years leadership and a strong specialism in SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) support. With many years of hands-on and strategic experience in the sector, Sam is passionate about inclusive education and ensuring that every child receives the care, attention, and opportunities they need to thrive.


Her vision for the nursery is rooted in collaboration, empowerment, and continuous improvement. Sam is dedicated to supporting the team in achieving even better outcomes for the children and families who attend Shooting Stars. She believes in nurturing individual strengths, encouraging innovation, and building confidence across the staff team to deliver a rich and engaging curriculum.


Sam’s leadership style is warm, approachable, and focused on developing a strong, reflective culture within the nursery. She is committed to creating an environment where children feel safe, inspired, and excited to learn, and where staff feel valued, supported, and motivated to grow professionally.


With her deep understanding of SEND and inclusive practice, Sam ensures that the nursery is a place where every child’s unique needs are recognised and celebrated. She works closely with families and professionals to provide tailored support and build strong partnerships that benefit each child’s development.


Outside of her professional role, Sam is known for her positive energy and dedication to making a difference. Tracy

Tracy Hedges

Job Title: Area Manager Joined: 2011

Tracy joined Shooting Stars Nurseries in 2011, at a time when the group had just one nursery setting. She was originally appointed as Deputy Manager at the Stourbridge nursery before stepping into the role of Nursery Manager in 2013. In 2015, she progressed into her current role as Area Manager, bringing with her a wealth of experience from a career in Early Years that spans over 28 years.


Before joining Shooting Stars, Tracy worked across a variety of practitioner, leadership, and senior leadership roles within day nursery settings. Her career also includes time spent as part of a specialist support team working with children who had experienced spinal cord injuries, and she began her journey in childcare as a nanny. Her long-standing commitment to Shooting Stars has made the organisation feel like an extension of herself—she often says it’s as much a part of her as she is of it.


Tracy is deeply passionate about creating magical childhoods that nurture curiosity, excitement, and strong foundations for lifelong success. She has a particular interest in emotional well-being, believing that secure, emotionally enabling environments are essential for children to thrive truly. After many years of hands-on practice, she now channels her passion into supporting teams across the nurseries, helping embed this ethos into the culture of every setting.


Her leadership is rooted in empathy, experience, and a genuine love for early years education. Tracy continues to inspire those around her with her dedication to quality, her belief in the power of nurturing relationships, and her commitment to growing confident, capable teams.

Kully

Kully Dhillon

Job Title: Strategic Development Manager Joined: 2014

Kully began her journey with Shooting Stars Nurseries in September 2014 as the Nursery Manager of the newly opened Wolverhampton setting. In 2022, she progressed into a strategic role, joining the Area Management Team as a Strategic Development Manager.


Her career in childcare began as a Level 2 Apprentice, followed by the completion of her Level 3 qualification. Since 2004, Kully has held a variety of leadership roles, including Room Leader in both Pre-School and Under 2’s, Deputy Manager, and Nursery Manager—spending 16 of those years in management.


These experiences have shaped her deep understanding of early years education and operational leadership.


Kully is particularly passionate about the development of children under two, with a strong focus on building secure attachments and nurturing environments that support emotional well-being and early development. She also brings extensive expertise in Health & Safety, SEND, and Safeguarding, which are central to her practice and leadership.


A key focus of Kully’s role is supporting the growth of the early years workforce. She is committed to empowering staff through continuous professional development, helping them build confidence and fulfilment in their roles. Wellbeing is at the heart of her approach—she strives to foster a positive, supportive workplace for teams and a safe, inspiring space for children.


At Shooting Stars Nurseries, Kully plays a vital role in welcoming new team members through New Employee Workshops and mentoring apprentices throughout their training journey, helping shape the next generation of early years professionals.


Outside of work, Kully enjoys spending quality time with her family and attending football matches as a proud supporter of her local club. She also loves exploring new cities, dining out, and meeting new people.
