A fun, safe environment for children. All staff work hard to ensure children’s needs are met. Communication with parents is brilliant. A brilliant variety of healthy snacks and meals are made for the children. I know my child is safe and well looked after at Shooting Stars!

My son started at the nursery and they were great at slowly introducing him, making him feel welcome and reassuring myself. He loves going to nursery and learning new things, playing with the other children and spending time with the lovely staff.
My son has a slight allergy to gluten like his father,
and the nursery has been so accommodating with this, including gluten-free flour for playdough.

I have been very happy with the care that Shooting Stars have provided for my son. It is always a clean and well looked after nursery - where there is plenty to do - and new activities each day. I anyways feel content leaving my son - he’s happy to go in, and his key worker has really taken the time

Since my daughter has come to shooting stars she has come on leaps and bounds. We chose the nursery as we felt immediately at ease and confident that they would look after her. I know it is not the cheapest of nurseries in the area but the ease with which it makes me and my partner feel knowing our
daughter is in good hands is priceless. Everyone knows our daughter and every time I turn up, numerous staff members will talk to me and take time to answer any questions. The menu and activities are varied and look great (especially the food) So glad my daughter goes here and just wish we could send her more days a week.

My twins have been attending Shooting Stars since they were two; they’ve not long turned four. They attended a different nursery before, but they just weren’t happy there, prompting me to find this one. Their attitudes towards going to the nursery at Shooting Stars are night and day compared to before,
and it was immediate. They are both genuinely so happy to be there and love all of the staff that they interact with on a daily basis. That was my main priority and make-or-break deal after my last nursery experience - a lovely and supportive team = happy kids.
That’s exactly what we got!
Both the toddler room and the preschool room are packed full of fun stuff that leads to child-led activities, which suit my boys best. The staff do lots of structured activities too, and both of the twins’ learning has come on leaps and bounds.
In a nutshell, I highly recommend this nursery! (In fact, I always do!).

My little boy started at Shooting Stars in June 2022, aged nine months. He instantly took to the baby room and the lovely staff who work there - one lady was always helpful. He has now transitioned to the toddler room and equally loves it, especially when he sees another member of staff during the morning
when he’s coming in. The camera system is reassuring, especially as you can see what your little one is doing during different stages of the day.

My daughter has attended Shooting Stars since July 2021. From the first moment I walked into the nursery and met the girls, I had a wonderful feeling she would be happy there. She has learnt so much thanks to her key workers and the team.

My daughter has been attending this nursery for the past two years, and I couldn't be happier. She is genuinely excited to go to nursery each day. The staff are brilliant, the food is often better than what I eat (and certainly encourages the children to eat a wide range of food), and the day is well
structured. They are even going above and beyond to work with my daughter on her speech development (for which she is under SALT for as a concern). I am completely at ease dropping her off there each day, where I know she will be safe and happy.

Excellent nursery. Being a first-time parent, I knew little to nothing about what to look for, but we have had a great experience with our little boy, who has been attending since last October aged 9-months.
The staff are fantastic, approachable and really take the time to get to know you. Our little

My son settled so quickly here. After only a few sessions, there were no more tears. He is always busy when I check on the cameras. The staff always ask how he is at the start of the day. He wanders off happily in the morning. Thank you, toddler room.

I honestly cannot rate this nursery and the team here highly enough. My little boy attended a different nursery that I was not happy with, and I explored the option of moving him to Shooting Stars - from my very first interaction with them, I was overwhelmed with support, genuine care and concern for
my son.
The little things that they remembered - including his birthday on his second-ever session there blew me away and made me feel they genuinely care and get to know the children that go there.
He loves going to nursery, something he never did at his previous nursery - we had tears every day for 2-months - not anymore.
I also get regular updates, photos, and phone calls with any concerns which I really appreciate.
I honestly would not consider taking my child or any future children anywhere else.
The whole team are incredibly professional but also friendly and caring. Thank you, Shooting Stars!

Sam joined Shooting Stars Bromsgrove as Nursery Manager in June 2024, bringing with her a wealth of experience in Early Years leadership and a strong specialism in SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) support. With many years of hands-on and strategic experience in the sector, Sam is passionate about inclusive education and ensuring that every child receives the care, attention, and opportunities they need to thrive.


Her vision for the nursery is rooted in collaboration, empowerment, and continuous improvement. Sam is dedicated to supporting the team in achieving even better outcomes for the children and families who attend Shooting Stars. She believes in nurturing individual strengths, encouraging innovation, and building confidence across the staff team to deliver a rich and engaging curriculum.


Sam’s leadership style is warm, approachable, and focused on developing a strong, reflective culture within the nursery. She is committed to creating an environment where children feel safe, inspired, and excited to learn, and where staff feel valued, supported, and motivated to grow professionally.


With her deep understanding of SEND and inclusive practice, Sam ensures that the nursery is a place where every child’s unique needs are recognised and celebrated. She works closely with families and professionals to provide tailored support and build strong partnerships that benefit each child’s development.


Outside of her professional role, Sam is known for her positive energy and dedication to making a difference. Tracy Hedges

Job Title: Area Manager Joined: 2011

Tracy joined Shooting Stars Nurseries in 2011, at a time when the group had just one nursery setting. She was originally appointed as Deputy Manager at the Stourbridge nursery before stepping into the role of Nursery Manager in 2013. In 2015, she progressed into her current role as Area Manager, bringing with her a wealth of experience from a career in Early Years that spans over 28 years.


Before joining Shooting Stars, Tracy worked across a variety of practitioner, leadership, and senior leadership roles within day nursery settings. Her career also includes time spent as part of a specialist support team working with children who had experienced spinal cord injuries, and she began her journey in childcare as a nanny. Her long-standing commitment to Shooting Stars has made the organisation feel like an extension of herself—she often says it’s as much a part of her as she is of it.


Tracy is deeply passionate about creating magical childhoods that nurture curiosity, excitement, and strong foundations for lifelong success. She has a particular interest in emotional well-being, believing that secure, emotionally enabling environments are essential for children to thrive truly. After many years of hands-on practice, she now channels her passion into supporting teams across the nurseries, helping embed this ethos into the culture of every setting.


Her leadership is rooted in empathy, experience, and a genuine love for early years education. Tracy continues to inspire those around her with her dedication to quality, her belief in the power of nurturing relationships, and her commitment to growing confident, capable teams.

Kully Dhillon

Job Title: Strategic Development Manager Joined: 2014

Kully began her journey with Shooting Stars Nurseries in September 2014 as the Nursery Manager of the newly opened Wolverhampton setting. In 2022, she progressed into a strategic role, joining the Area Management Team as a Strategic Development Manager.


Her career in childcare began as a Level 2 Apprentice, followed by the completion of her Level 3 qualification. Since 2004, Kully has held a variety of leadership roles, including Room Leader in both Pre-School and Under 2’s, Deputy Manager, and Nursery Manager—spending 16 of those years in management.


These experiences have shaped her deep understanding of early years education and operational leadership.


Kully is particularly passionate about the development of children under two, with a strong focus on building secure attachments and nurturing environments that support emotional well-being and early development. She also brings extensive expertise in Health & Safety, SEND, and Safeguarding, which are central to her practice and leadership.


A key focus of Kully’s role is supporting the growth of the early years workforce. She is committed to empowering staff through continuous professional development, helping them build confidence and fulfilment in their roles. Wellbeing is at the heart of her approach—she strives to foster a positive, supportive workplace for teams and a safe, inspiring space for children.


At Shooting Stars Nurseries, Kully plays a vital role in welcoming new team members through New Employee Workshops and mentoring apprentices throughout their training journey, helping shape the next generation of early years professionals.


Outside of work, Kully enjoys spending quality time with her family and attending football matches as a proud supporter of her local club. She also loves exploring new cities, dining out, and meeting new people.
