Dunkys Day Nursery (Sankey)

Dunky's Day Nursery (Sanky) is a wonderful nursery, my children have attended since they were two years old, they are now eight and five! The staff in every room from babies through to wrap around club are amazing, showing genuine care and love for every child. The consistency of staff at the nursery has contributed to this with the manager and another member of staff providing excellent management, nothing is ever too much trouble. Both my children have specialist dietary requirements, one is dairy free, the other celiac but this is catered for brilliantly. I feel my children are safe, stimulated and enriched and would recommend this nursery one hundred percent.

Dunky’s Day Nursery (Sankey) have been brilliant from the moment we enquired about sending our little girl there. We were able to look round the nursery a couple of times and everything was very safe despite Covid-19 restrictions. All the staff are brilliant and they are always happy to answer any questions and accommodate our requests. There is always lots going on with different activities and time outside in the fresh air. The food is very varied and cooked fresh on site and the staff have really helped our little girl come on with her eating too. Our little girl loves going to nursery and is always so happy around all of the staff. They are great at giving us an overview of the day when doing pick ups. I think there is an app in the pipeline which will be really nice to get regular updates.

My son is very happy with the nursery staff, with all the activities they are doing and he is enjoying the time spent in nursery. All the children seem to get along very well, are good, caring and they made nice friendships.

A great nursery, our daughter absolutely loves going in. The staff are kind, caring and knowledgeable and our daughter talks about them all the time at home. Flexible hours, varied meals and a great outdoor space.

brilliant with the children and so caring, they make my son and myself feel so welcome, nothing is ever too much trouble and they are always there to help! There is a really nice “family” feeling at the nursery and the staff really do care about each child. Such a fab nursery and lovely setting!

Nothing is ever too much for the staff in the rooms or the office, queries are always dealt with swiftly via phone or email.

We have two children currently within this setting, they have been settled and happy in the nursery right from the start. They have both formed excellent relationships with all of the staff and we feel that they genuinely know and care for our children. We have been really pleased with the nursery, I would not hesitate to recommend this nursery to other parents. The staff are amazing! They are happy to work in harmony with our home life and support our wishes/parenting choices. Whilst the nursery does not have an electronic parent/communication app ( like some other settings I have seen) the communication is excellent at the end of the day and I like that the staff are always interacting with our children and not on devices/screens constantly.

My daughter started nursery in September, later than planned due to covid. She was clingy when she started which worried me, I was reassured that she was fine when there and would soon settle in. I saw pictures on their Facebook page and saw she was enjoying herself. After a few sessions, she was less clingy and would hug the nursery staff. Now her face lights up when I mention nursery. All the staff are lovely and welcoming, and provide me with a good overview of the day when I pick her up. I am pleased I chose this nursery and I am completely at ease leaving my daughter there, which I worried I never would be! I particularly like the outdoor space, there are separate gardens for each room so the children can go outside throughout the day. Other nurseries I visited had 1 garden for all and had allocated time to use it. Meals are varied, she probably gets fed better than at home, I am often envious of the meals! I have also been impressed with the measures in place due to covid.

The nursery has been amazing since the first time I enquired about a place for my son, they have always replied very quickly and I have never felt like a nuisance despite constant phone calls and emails to them. My son has settled so quickly into the setting and every member of staff has been lovely. They have made me and my family feel very welcomed, I have asked to change him to full-time hours and they have quickly fitted him in and all extra sessions have been accommodated. My son adores his time in there and the staff seem to love him too. All communication is prompt and well explained. They are working with my family regarding any additional needs my son has and I am so glad they have been able to accept him as he is now excelling where he was at the start of October when he arrived! I have been looking for a nursery for my 15month old daughter for over a month and after a very disappointing experience we had with one I decided to go to Dunky's in Sankey and I couldn't recommend it more! The staff who welcomed me and my daughter for the first visit were extremely efficient and detailed in their explanation on what the nursery's services are and they took all the time to answer to all of my (many) questions. They always had a smile and were very understanding of my fears. I loved that they have many activities outdoors. The nursery is very clean and tidy. At the entrance, there is a reception room with a screen featuring their CCTV cameras always on. Outside there is a spacious parking lot that makes it easy to drop off/pick up your children. They have a 5-week rotation summer/winter menu that is very well balanced. On my daughter's first week they were so supportive and compassionate that they invited me to call as many time as I felt to check on her. They are amazing!

Great nursery all my kids love the nursery and want to come all the time.

Our daughter has been attending Dunky's Sankey for about a year now. She settled in really quickly and we are impressed with everything about the nursery. The staff are friendly and my daughter really loves going. They are incredibly flexible and communicate well to parents and have your child's best interests at heart.

Dunky's is an amazing early year setting. My daughter loves attending and is always stimulated. The indoor and outdoor facilities are engaging and entertaining. I 100% recommend Dunky's Sankey. I also recommend their out of school provision which my elder daughter attends.

Can't say enough about the staff at Dunky's. They've been very accommodating and my child loves it here.

Both my children have attended Dunky's throughout their preschool years and have really enjoyed their time. Dunky's is a safe and friendly environment where both my children have excelled at learning and social interactions. I have recommended Dunky's to people we know as we are so happy with the environment.

I feel my daughter is extremely well cared for at Dunky's and the food is great, there is always lots of vegetarian options highly recommended.

I have been pleased with the standard of the nursery overall but most importantly when I drop my son off. I know he is in safe hands - I never have to worry whilst I'm at work. The staff are polite and informative. My child has been really happy for the three years he has attended. Nursery have gently introduced a more 'school-like' routine so that transition to school in September will go smoothly for my son.

Both my son and daughter have had a wonderful time at Dunky's. The staff are all very friendly and approachable and the care they provide feels very genuine and personal. My daughter, in particular, loves her day there and is excited to go.

I have 2 children at the nursery (Baby/pre-school). Both children settled well into the nursery and I believe this is due to the staff creating a positive and welcoming environment. Then staff help support and new things we are implementing or learning/focusing ay home within the nursery environment. The management are helpful and at hand to help with any questions always promptly and communication is excellent. I would and have recommended this nursery to friends and will continue to do so. Thank you to everyone for making are nursery experience enjoyable.

Since starting nursery, we have noticed our son’s development has accelerated considerably and therefore we wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Dunky’s Sankey.
