Dunkys Day Nursery (Sankey)

Couldn’t recommend this nursery enough! My daughter was 12 months when she started and she loves going. The girls that take care of her always show how much they care and my daughter has made very good attachments to them. All the staff are lovely people. Never have I felt uneasy putting my daughter here.

Our little boy started in January 2022 and we couldn't be happier with the service and environment Dunky's Day Nursery Sankey provides. We were offered as many settling in days as we felt he needed and were never made to feel rushed or obligated to choose Dunky's on our first visit. The staff are all super friendly and know him by name when we arrive in the morning, and he always goes in without a problem, which definitely helps with the mum guilt. We love that we get updates throughout the day on the app and recently attended our first 'parents evening' which isn't something I thought we would do until school but it was lovely to hear his progress and get a feel of things he does while he's there, really couldn't recommend them enough.

Excellent nursery, I have already recommended it to a friend whose little girl has recently started. The staff are amazing and helped our little girl settle in so well. She has started to thrive since being there (currently 4 days a week) and her development has come on strength to strength. I’m an anxious person which unfortunately means I’m a very anxious mum so this transition from maternity leave to nursery has been quite difficult for me personally but I can see how compassionate and caring the staff are and my daughter is so happy and comfortable with them which is lovely to see and this has made things so much easier. The staff work with us and act as a team with my husband and I which is great. As she’s changing and developing so fast, the staff are happy to implement new things that we’re doing at home now too. It says it all when I drop her off and she runs in happy to start the day. Couldn’t ask for more!

Great Sankey Dunky’s Day Nursery is such a fabulous nursery with lovely staff. My daughter finds it hard to communicate and form bonds however she loves all the staff and gets excited to see them at nursery time, she has come on leaps and bounds since starting here! Also, love that I am able to get updates continuously whilst she is at nursery and the staff have always gone above and beyond to meet my daughter's needs! Would always recommend Great Sankey Dunky’s.

Excellent nursery. They look after your child well. I would recommend to everyone. Staff are great. My son feels happy there. He enjoys all the games and activities they do in the nursery. My son is learning a lot.

My son has enjoyed Dunky's Day Nursery. He is becoming more sociable, enjoys the company of other children and is learning new skills. The staff have been very friendly and supportive. I am very happy with this nursery.

Dunky's have been excellent during the Covid pandemic. My girls have loved attending and have grown in confidence and maturity. All of the staff are lovely and know their names even when they are not in their room. The staff are always willing to update on progress and development.

Our son has attended Dunky's Day Nursery full time since he was 5 months old for nearly 2 and a half years. We have always found the staff at the nursery to be very professional, informative and helpful when discussing matters relating to your child. The app has been really useful and it is great to see what sort of day your child is having. We have found Dunky's to be an excellent environment for our child and we have seen that daily exposure within his peer group has been beneficial with supporting his development. Thanks.

Dunkys have been amazing with settling my little boy, he now runs to the nursery door in the morning because he is excited to see the staff and other children. It's nice to see what he gets up to throughout the day on the app and gives me peace of mind seeing photos of him having fun. His key workers and the manager are lovely and reassuring.

This nursery is really good with my little boy and all his learning, he has come on leaps and bounds in there and he really loves it there. He has really connected with the ones looking after him in there.

Dunky's has been brilliant in developing my daughter's skills and nurturing her early years development. She has been with the nursery since she was nine months old and the girls were great in settling her in and reassuring us with updates during her first few days. We look forward to her making more memories with the nursery as she grows. We enjoy seeing pictures and using the new app, would have been great if this was introduced earlier. We look forward to seeing more of her experience at the nursery and maybe having an open day/parents evening at some point.

All of the team are friendly, approachable and have your child's best interest at heart. We are always kept up to date with how our child is progressing and are given a detailed account of child's day when possible from the team. Like most parents, we were nervous about our child attending nursery, those nerves were settled quickly with how nice all the staff have been with our child. The team are very friendly and always supportive in giving full and thorough handovers at the end of the day - even if other parents are waiting, they focus on giving your child updates. The new app is great, and my child has really developed since starting. My child is always so excited to go in - this shows how lovely the team are! Thank you to everyone at Dunky's.

The staff and facilities of the nursery in Great Sankey are brilliant. Every member of staff really cares for our son. Having had our son in this nursery since he was only four months old, his development and social skills have hugely improved and developed. I would highly recommend Dunkys.

My son absolutely loves going to Dunky's Day Nursery, he enjoys a great variety of play and learning. The staff have always been very informative about what the children have been up to during the day which is lovely. Would absolutely recommend.

Lovely nursery that takes into account all the parents’ wishes. The staff are lovely, and our child always seems to enjoy it there! We also love the fact they send pictures of our child’s day. The food is great too - all cooked from scratch.

Fantastic nursery and wonderful staff. The staff take on each child's individual needs and help them express their personalities. My child loves attending and has grown in confidence since he started. I cannot compliment this nursery enough and I love that the children have so much outdoor time. The manager is very responsive to emails and always on hand for any advice you may need.

My son has been going to Dunky's Day Nursery (Sankey) for the past four years. He started school in September 2020 and is now part of the out of school provision, which is fantastic. I know my son is one hundred percent safe when he is taken to school in the morning and when he is picked up from school. The out of school provision team are fantastic and just great with the kids. My son loves going there. The manager is always on hand to answer any queries and if she isn't available, there is always someone else there who can help. I would highly recommend this nursery and their out of school provision.
