They introduced a ridiculous and overblown entry system that leaves you often standing outside for far too long in peak drop off periods. The supposed upgrades have been talked about for years and still no sign of them.
The staff are generally fine. The benefits of being part of a big group have not materialised as promised, except in more rules, policies and repetitive form filling in. There is zero online capability and the nursery seems stuck in a decade ago. The outdoor space is very limited, muddy - but at least used.

I started my career in childcare with Bright Horizons back in 2003 as a Nursery Nurse, and have been fortunate enough with the company to become a Nursery Manager. I transferred over to Sawbridgeworth in December 2020, and have loved watching the children Thrive, and also the staff.
Staff development is one of my passions and I strive to get the best out of each and every staff member to ensure the children can experience the awe and wonder whilst at the nursery.
I have worked for Bright Horizons for 8 years and joined the Sawbridgeworth team a year ago after transferring from another Bright Horizons Nursery. I have a 2.5-year-old daughter who also attends the nursery and is thriving. I am passionate about my job and enjoy seeing the children grow and watching their development from babies through to graduating and being ready for school. The majority of my experience has been with Under 2s and I worked my way up from a Room Supervisor to a Deputy Manager. I look forward to seeing where my Sawbridgeworth journey will take me.
