LEYF - Weir Link Nursery & Pre-School

We've been really impressed with the nursery. There are lots of activities organised throughout the day, with a strong focus on learning and helping the children develop new skills in a fun and engaging way. The atmosphere is always warm, positive and welcoming, and the staff are approachable and genuinely caring. It's clear that the children are happy, well looked after and encouraged to learn and explore. We would highly recommend this nursery.

The facilities are great, especially the garden

It's been so reassuring to see how well they know and understand my son already, and how thoughtful they are in making sure he feels happy, comfortable and settled. Starting nursery can be such a big transition, but they've made it a really positive experience for both of us.

Both of our sons have attended Weir Link, and it has been fantastic for them. The staff are friendly and professional, and it really benefits from being part of a group with a strong ethos and management approach. The communication about what the children are up to and what is needed is excellent. The children really do have a personalised learning experience, and the staff are always keen to share what they've been up to, and happy to answer any questions. There's novel activities for the children every day, and food that I'm envious of sometimes! There are a couple of limitations - toddlers and pre-schoolers share the same room, and the outdoor area is a little small. But the garden equipment is great, and the staff do really well with what they have. There's also regular trips out to compensate - either close by at the local playground, or as far as a London museum! Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area.

Brilliant nursery - kind and caring staff, my son loves it. Fully recommend to anyone looking for a local Balham nursery. Great for development of children with lots of structured activities and play time.

We couldn't be happier that we signed our son up to attend Weir Link Nursery back in the winter of 2024! He is absolutely thriving there and I am surprised each day at the new words he knows, the new skills he has developed, the new things he knows and the interpersonal skills he showcases in practice each day with the friends he has made through the nursery. The staff are wonderful and so caring and take a vested interest in our child and our wider family! It is a very nurturing and community based environment. We are always kept well informed each day of the activities the children get up to and the schedule is always varied and exciting!

We have been extremely happy with our choice of nursery. The staff are lovely and make an effort to feed back to us personally each afternoon, we also get photos and updates via the app. The babies get specific activities that are varied (a different one each day, which are planned in advance), go on occasional outings and spend plenty of time in the garden. The environment feels very caring and nurturing. We also feel that care and attention is given to our daughter's development and encouraging her to take the next steps at each stage (eg with language, etc).

Our daughter is very happy there and regularly (daily) runs in to give the nursery workers hugs in the morning. The most important thing to us is that she is a happy child who very much enjoys being there.

The team takes the time to listen to our feedback and approaches suggestions in a constructive and open-minded way, which we really appreciate. Most importantly, the staff clearly care about the children, and that makes a real difference to our family.

We are very happy with the Weir Link nursery. Our child started in the summer of 2025 and he's been thriving! The level of care is great and I feel our child is learning every day. The on-site chef is excellent too and the meals provided seem healthy and nutritious. The staff are attentive and very friendly.

We are very happy with the nursery so far. Our little one loves the ladies there; she has a lot of activities each week, and they keep us updated on a daily basis. While discussing with other mums from other nurseries, we realised that the Weir Link Nursery is very good at keeping us updated, and the staff is so dedicated, they really care about the little ones

The staff here are really great, our kid loves going to nursery so much and is really attached to the workers there! The facilities are nothing special but I would rather my kid go somewhere with lovely dedicated staff, than to a fancier place that's more corporate.

Our daughter is happy, and so are we.

We have two children at the nursery and are very happy with the level of care. In particular, the on-site chef is fantastic and the kids eat a huge variety of healthy, delicious meals. The long term members of staff are very committed and clearly passionate about their role in supporting the children. It's wonderful to see the shared celebration of each milestone as well as support with the more challenging phases such as potty training. The one area where I think there is room for improvement is the management of staffing levels. Recently it seems staffing levels have been under strain which is stressful for the staff and can limit the activities for the children for example limiting trips outside the nursery which have minimum staffing requirements.

Really wonderful nursery! Everyone is incredibly kind and caring, and they push the children just enough to help development, but in a very supportive environment. The staff turnover is amazingly low considering shortages we always hear about in the press - only a handful of teachers have left in the past 3 years, and most of those to take up promotions at other nurseries within the group. They are excellent at keeping parents informed, updates on the app multiple times per day, quarterly reports and developmental plans. Our oldest had a slight hip issue from birth and they've been incredible at following the physio plan set out to correct this and get her hitting all normal milestones for her age.

I am glad we chose The Weir Link Nursery for our children. The staff created a warm, welcoming atmosphere and made it a place that our children thoroughly enjoyed going to. They developed strong bonds with the staff, especially their key person, who is always very helpful and provides daily updates at the end of the day. The variety of activities that the children engage in is great which helps enormously with their learning and development. Having food cooked onsite daily was also another plus point for us. Overall it has been a very happy experience for our family.

My niece has just started and I went to pick her up last week, they were aware that I was coming but still checked and asked me for my ID (thought this was really good practice), they asked for the ID and then the manager took me into the room, where the key person asked for a password and this robust practice in the busy part of the day was very reassuring especially when you hear so many stories. When I walked in, the children were happily engaged and playing with resources. The teachers facilitated the children's play and the areas looked inviting. I have to say I have fallen in love with this place.

We are very pleased with the team at Weir Link. They really care about the children's development and well-being. Our son is growing happily there supported by the carers in a safe and caring environment.
