Number 9 The Nursery is an award-winning day nursery caring for children aged from three months to five years.

The nursery has been thoughtfully designed to give children an excellent beginning in their early years by nurturing them in a beautiful and welcoming environment, and by recognising the unique value of each child.

Its goal is to offer childcare of a high standard whilst maintaining home-from-home care where children are free to explore and engage their imaginations.

The nursery strives to provide a safe, fun and welcoming environment to ensure children reach their full potential whilst being nurtured both socially and emotionally. They are proud to hold the Millie's Mark for their commitment to safety and all of the practitioners are paediatric first aid trained.

Children attending the nursery have wonderful opportunities to participate in Baby Ballet, Pro-Stars, Petit Rendezvous French, and Sing and Sign - all at no extra cost.

Food is cooked on site using the freshest, high quality ingredients in the 5-Star Hygiene Rated kitchen. Their menus are Advanced Accredited by the Early Years Nutrition Partnership (May 2021) to ensure they meet all nutritional requirements.

My daughter left Number 9 in August 2019 to go to primary school. We have really enjoyed her going to this nursery. The staff and management are lovely and it is a really well run nursery. They do loads of activities with the children and my daughter was always happy to go. If you live in the area,
go and visit and see for yourself, it really is a wonderful nursery.

I would highly recommend this nursery. I was very nervous leaving my 6-month-old at nursery to begin with but instantly felt reassured once I saw how he reacted to the settling in sessions, and once I saw how nurturing, caring and kind the staff on the baby floor were - my son took to the floor manager
and deputy manager immediately. The food is great and varied so the staff have therefore massively helped me with the weaning process. There are activities such as yoga and sing and sign - all of which I am convinced have educated my baby and helped make him more sociable and happy. The place is clean and tidy and there is a lovely big garden and a baby sensory room, so they have lots of space to keep them entertained throughout the day. I love that they use Eye Log - an app that logs the baby's naps, nappies and bottles, and can send you observations when your child learns a new skill - all of this leads me to believe that my son is getting the best care possible.

Very caring staff, my daughter has been very happy for almost two years. Many activities are planned on daily basis which helps kids to learn and be active and also be friendly with other kids.

I have nothing but praise for Number 9 and the staff are fantastic, caring and genuinely interested in our child's progression. He has loved every minute at Number 9, he has his favourite teacher. I had the pleasure of helping out on a school trip and it really did show me how much each staff member
cares about the children and how attentive they are. I cannot recommend Number 9 enough. They are the perfect place for your child to develop and grow. We are sad to be leaving them in July and I know our little boy will miss them. Thanks for everything over the last 18 months.

My son has been at Number 9 for over two years now and I’m so very happy with this nursery. I was apprehensive when I first had to put him in nursery, like most parents, but I needn’t have worried as the staff were accommodating and communicated with me so well and he settled very quickly. We moved
out of the area a few months ago but wanted to keep my son in this nursery as he is so very happy here.
My son will start school in September and we will miss Number 9 greatly. I can not recommend it highly enough.

I highly recommend Number 9 nursery to parents. All the staff that I have come across are very friendly and professional.


My ten months old son started at Number 9 a month ago and I can’t thank the team in the Baby room enough, especially one staff member who my son has taken a shining to!

love the daily eyLog updates and daily reports. The set-up is fantastic to develop and nurture the children's development.

We love Number 9! Everyone has been fantastic here. From helping us navigate a suitable settling in period that would suit our daughter (and our worries!) to the everyday care of her.
Staff are all so friendly and helpful, office staff are always there to help and everyone in all rooms is welcoming.
The
baby room is amazing - the staff are great and we have no worries about our child’s care. She is excited to go to nursery and is always enthusiastic about her day.
The picture and video updates are brilliant, we get a real feel for what is going on and what our daughter is exposed to :)
We love that there is an activity everyday to give the kids a new experience and carry on some of the things we did while I was on maternity leave such as yoga and pro-stars. We really feel like she is getting so much out of her time at Number 9.
We know our child is loved and cared for and couldn’t ask for more.


We sent our son to a different nursery and Number 9 is leaps and bounds above that one.

My daughter has been at Number 9 for the last 2 years, following a decision to move her from another nursery. I agonised over the decision and honestly, it’s the best decision I’ve made.
Number 9 is amazing; not only are they very friendly but 100% invested in your child. They offer multiple activities
and have a clear educational agenda delivered through fun. They tailor activities to suit your child’s needs and I’ve seen my daughter's skills and confidence just grow and grow.
I will be sad when she leaves - could not recommend them enough.

Lovely nursery and staff. Clean and tidy, the staff are caring. For my daughter, it was a bit stressful having to start nursery at 3 years old 10 hours a day but the staff did a great job helping her to settle in caring about her and love her. After a month my daughter was completely different this
different being in good. Her speaking improved more words into her vocabulary. All the activities they do there, staff make sure kids enjoy it thoroughly.

Outstanding staff who go above and beyond their duty set within wonderful facilities. As a first time Mum who was sceptical about nurseries but I was made very welcome when my son started and instantly put at ease. I have a brilliant relationship with his key workers and am updated daily on his routine/food/sleep/nappies,
and sometimes with pictures too which is a lovely touch. My son has developed so much since starting at Number 9 and I strongly believe it is due to their fantastic care and commitment towards every child to reach their full potential. The only limitation of the nursery is that it is located in a part of Croydon that gets very busy during rush hour, and the parking structure is stressful, particularly during peak times. That said, the nursery does their best to minimise the issue by urging parents to follow parking regulations but it is often ignored. This is such a small flaw in the grand scheme of things and does not take away from the brilliance of this establishment.

I am extremely happy with sending my son to this nursery. When you go to work you want to know that your child is safe and happy. I always feel this way. My son talks about the staff as if they are his best friends and he has learnt so much since attending. Being a teacher, I look out for open learning
tasks as well as age-appropriate challenges and they certainly provide this. Every member of staff is compassionate and seem to really enjoy being around the children. I would recommend this nursery to everyone!

I moved my daughter from another nursery to Number 9 and have been extremely happy with the decision. The staff are amazing and my daughter is so proud of all the activities they do and so excited to bring them home. She is so passionate about learning to write and the team have supported and encouraged

My daughter was at Number 9 from before she was two and she only left in July this year to head off to big school. I’d like to thank all staff at Number 9.
