Our children attend/ed the Stragglethorpe setting and we have always been very happy with the care they give. I wanted to make special mention of the great job they did in preparing our daughter for school this year. The transition was so much easier than we expected and we credit that to the great learning and skill preparation and emotional/psychological prep the preschool team did. Thank you.

My grandson went to Holiday Club during half term. He really enjoyed himself, staff was helpful and encouraging to try new things.

My two daughters joined The Wolds Nursery last month and they have settled in so well. The staff are very friendly and professional. The children are well looked after and provided with a rich range of learning opportunities. Even in the short time at the nursery, I have seen a lot of development. The facilities are great. My older daughter particularly loves the forest school. The communication via the app is fantastic and I could not fault the nursery at all.

The Wolds Day Nursery is nothing other than fantastic. I feel so proud to say that my so (and previously my daughter) attends this nursery. My daughter who has now started school often reminisces about her nursery days and misses all the staff. So when they recently opened their doors over October half term for her to go back - she was thrilled. It's these things that make nursery great - they go above and beyond. My son is thriving and it is so comforting to know he is in a safe place and getting involved in so much. Thank you everyone at The Wolds! You truly are an amazing team and extended family.

Our daughter absolutely loves this nursery as do we. I cannot say enough about how good it is. Amazing, caring and loving staff with a real sense of fun too. She has never been upset at drop off or pick up and has flourished since joining. We chose the setting as it had a homely feel with a strong sense of good manners and education together with a forest school that we know our daughter will love when she is old enough. She gets plenty of fresh air each day and we are confident that we have chosen the best place we could have to help our daughter develop and grow.

My son has only been attending The Wolds since September but he's already making huge progress in his social skills and speech in particular. He loves going to nursery now and is forming lovely friendships. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming that I felt like I was leaving my son with family friends. Their app is brilliant for keeping on top of everything my son is achieving during the day and seeing pictures of him flourishing brightens my day. Their outdoor play areas and forest area is a joy to behold. I would definitely recommend The Wolds at Stragglethorpe.

My son has been attending The Wolds since he was 7 months old and we are incredibly grateful to all of the amazing staff. He has developed so much since attending due to their consistency, understanding and knowledge. We receive daily pictures and observations sent through their private app, and staff are always on hand to answer any questions we may have. Thank you to all at The Wolds!!

The staff are wonderful, the setting is brilliant and my daughter loves it there! I am given regular updates about my daughter’s achievements and development as well as pointers to support her learning at home. The staff (particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic) have been exceptional in reassuring my daughter and protecting all of the key worker children who were still attending the setting during lockdown. I cannot recommend The Wolds at Stragglethorpe enough and am so grateful to them for all they do for the children who attend the setting.

Brilliant staff and great outdoor facilities (forest school). Good use of the app for communications. Accommodated child's needs with regard to a recent diagnosis of Type 1 diabetes with compassion and care.

I couldn’t ask for a more nurturing, happy and safer environment for my daughter. She has thrived since starting at Stragglethorpe and always comes out with a smile! The parent communication system that they use has been fantastic throughout the limitations of COVID which stopped parental access to the building. I receive pictures and a newsfeed daily which gives me a snapshot of her day and have instant access to a member of staff in her room throughout the day if needed. The curriculum at The Wolds is varied covering all topics and the on-site Forest School is outstanding. Thank you for giving my daughter the best start in her school life and building on her confidence!

If I was asked as a child what kind of environment I could be taught in, to explore in and to play in - I don't think I could even have dreamt of a better place. Both my boys love it at the nursery, and the attention to detail in terms of care and provision is second to none. Chickens, a pirate ship, sandpits, water play, balancing, an extensive forest school - this place is amazing and very well connected for work in town. The manager and her staff are delightful and honest and extremely helpful.

Very professional and caring staff. Excellent setting with a wide range of activities and meals. Excellent communication via the app. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others. My child clearly feels happy, safe and engaged. My child’s development is supported and enhanced. I can see why the setting has received an outstanding rating.

A fantastic nursery. I am impressed by how much the children do. It is the perfect environment for my son to progress and develop his social skills. The staff are great and you feel they are committed to helping your child. I would recommend it to everyone.

My 3-year-old has been at this nursery for 2.5 years and 1-year old for 3 months. They are well looked after by the lovely, caring staff who are very friendly and build strong relationships with parents. The learning activities that they do are fantastic - thoroughly planned and vary all of the time. The nursery is very clean, as is all of the equipment and toys used. Every couple of months they focus on your child for the week and work with you to identify any specific development needs. The forest school linked to preschool is excellent and is frequently part of their daily activities. The Famly app used to communicate with parents is great and very efficient. The food is excellent and the menu is very varied and healthy.

We have The Worlds 'Stragglethorpe' Nursery for 3 years for both our children after relocating from Leicester. I was delighted to find a nursery which seemed to go the extra mile, providing a superb environment for the children. The opening of the forest school being the icing on the cake. My youngest son loved the forest school - the outdoors areas and the freedom to explore! Now I can't imagine how he would have coped at nursery without this space!

My child is extremely happy at Nursery, has a good relationship with staff, is progressing well and looks forward to being at Nursery. The staff are very friendly and approachable. Would highly recommend the Nursery.

A wonderful nursery that has cared for my daughter for the last four years. The real highlight of the setting is the forest school and outside space which the staff fully utilise. I have always felt my daughter has been cared for too the highest standard.

Our son asks to go to chicken school (nursery). He tells all his family and friends about chicken school and comes home and tells us all about his day and every day he has learnt something new. His speech has hardly any flaws and he knows so much. My son talks about his friends he has there and he's using the potty and sometimes the toilet. He also counts to 20 with ease. He's so happy and I promise you this has nearly everything to do with Wolds childcare. My child loves it and home is a happy place.
