Little Tots Nursery - Stoney Heath offers the best foundation for life. The Montessori philosophy teaches children independence from an early age and every child learns at their own pace and is treated as an individual.   

The nursery has a Forest School site within walking distance of the nursery, which is situated within the amazing grounds of Ewhurst Park Farm. The setting has a very strong ethos of outdoor learning, with the children having the opportunity to grow vegetables, learn about the local wildlife and make wild spaces for pollinators. They are part of the RHS Schools Gardening Scheme, and members of The Wildlife Trust, planting trees, taking part in The Big Bird Watch and nature walks.

The Nursery has a small cosy Baby Room, which caters for children from 6 months to 2 years, they encourage independence and begin to introduce Montessori philosophy at an early age.   

To complement the nursery day they also offer extra curriculum activities such as children’s yoga and music and dance, cooking and science sessions.

Unlike many nurseries, they benefit from a smaller environment and take a personal approach, the children remain with the same staff and peer group throughout their time at Little Tots in the nursery room, helping form relationships and gain confidence, the children benefit from strong social bonds, stability and continuity of care.

The Montessori ethos encourages “family grouping” where children aged 2-5 work together, with the older children acting as role models for the younger children and the younger children benefiting from learning by example from the older children. Little Tots put the child and parent’s needs first.

Open 8am-6pm Monday to Friday all year - limited term time only spaces available. Flexible sessions available.

Our daughter loves Little Tots and settled in straight away. She adores her key person and all the amazing staff. It’s so fulfilling seeing what she gets up to each day on the app, especially when off to forest school. Highly recommend this nursery, there are so many extras that come with this setting
and the staff go above and beyond to make learning fun, inclusive and educational.

Our little boy started at Little Tots in October and I cannot recommend them enough. My son has allergies so it was nerve-wracking for us to send him to nursery but the team have gone above and beyond to reassure us and have put additional measures in place to keep him safe. The activities they do with
the children and the care the whole team provide is great. The team keep you updated on what your little one has been up to and I love to see his happy face while he’s learning lots of new things. Thanks Little Tots - your kindness and care is so appreciated!

So far the whole experience from my child starting nursery in September has been wonderful. From settling her in, making her feel safe and happy and supporting her every need. The feedback from the staff is above what I ever expected and being offered individual support to help her with any problems
she may have has been a huge comfort. As her mum, I leave her at nursery happy and confident to attend and pick up a smiley little girl. The staff are kind and genuinely care for the children.

My daughter has absolutely flourished since starting at Little Tots nearly 3 years ago. They are currently getting her prepared for starting school this September and her self-confidence is so high right now. She has made lots of friends and loves all her teachers. We will be sad for her to leave and
that as we have moved, we won't be sending any potential future children here. It's a gorgeous nursery which does everything for the children!

Both of my sons have really thrived at Little Tots Nursery. The team were extremely knowledgeable and supportive when we were concerned about the language development of our youngest who was in their baby room. He is now nearly 2 and about to progress to their nursery room and with the learning through
play they have done with him he is now talking and interacting with his peers and teachers in an age-appropriate way. The level of communication you receive as a parent is incredible.

I wouldn’t ever be able to send my children anywhere else. My son first started going to Little Tots Nursery when he was 11 months old and is now in school and he loved nursery! The staff are amazing, it’s a real home from home feel and they really make you feel so confident in leaving your children
in their care. I honestly can’t sing their praises enough. My son had some extra help with speech and language therapy and the staff really focused on this too and made it a priority to help him. My daughter is currently at nursery and again, loves her time there, the day is full of varied activities. A few months ago she wouldn’t participate at all in group activities but now she really enjoys getting involved and that’s all thanks to the staff helping her grow in confidence. The care they show the children is just admirable. As you can tell I would highly recommend Little Tots - Stoney Heath to any parent - they are the best!

Great nursery our son loves it always comes home happy and telling us about the many different activities he’s done during his day. From day 1, we were excited for our little one to join Little Tots! They offer a homely, tailored and professional approach to caring for our daughter. My nine month old boy loves it at Little Tots - from the very first day he was smiling and hasn't stopped since. And for me going back to work was very daunting - but the warmth and support that the Little Tots team at Stoney Heath gave me was incredible. I really cannot thank them enough.

Little Tots Nursery is a fantastic nursery and I cannot praise the staff enough. My daughter attended for a year and a half, only leaving as we moved out of the area. She started when she was 1 and I was nervous as it was the first time she had left me. The baby room team were amazing from day one.
They are so loving and sensitive to the children, knew exactly how to distract my daughter when it was time for me to leave and when I collected her at the end of the day I could see how happy she was. She had strong attachments to many of the staff and would run to them in the morning. This continued when she moved up into the nursery room. My daughter still talks about the nursery staff and how much she loves them! Her learning progressed incredibly, despite being so young, the vocabulary and the things she could do after attending for only a short time was incredible. I would highly highly recommend Little Tots!

Little Tots Nursery is simply the best. Both of our daughters have attended (the youngest only here now) and I can't fault them at all. The care they receive is next to none, the forest school is just perfect and I love to hear of the adventures daily. The management of Little Tots is fabulous and the

My son has flourished under the wonderful staff at Little Tots. The dedication the Little Tots family give to the care of their children is unsurpassed. I can't thank them enough. He has really begun to socialise with the other children and settle in well. He looks toward to going to his school as he
calls it and we have to wave when we go past Little Tots in the car. In fact, sometimes he makes me go past it, especially so he can wave even if we are heading in a completely different direction.

I can't recommend Little Tots, Stoney Heath, enough. My little girl has just started school after 1.5 years at Little Tots. The staff all go above and beyond and the enthusiasm they have instilled for nature through forest school, is amazing. As a former social worker, I can't rate them higher. The
welfare of the children is clearly of paramount to them. They currently have female and one male staff members in the nursery and my little girl loved the role model, humour and support this male teacher provided. I think it is really important to have that balance as it's not only females that teach and provide care. Each member of staff I have met always kept me up to date on my little one's progress, she misses them loads, they were a second family to her. Thank you again, Little Tots.

Wow what a wonderful journey we’ve been on with Little Tots Nursery - Stoney Heath. My two girls have spent their pre-school days there and I’ve been so happy with the care we’ve received. I’ve been using Little Tots for the last 5 years and cannot fault them. I feel like part of the Little Tots family.
My youngest child has recently left and we’ve shed lots of tears. On to the next chapter.

Both of my children attend Little Tots and we are very happy with our choice. My son loves the staff and talks about them and the other children very fondly at pick-up times. I appreciate the fact that they take time to listen to each child's interest and plan activities around that. I believe their
approach has helped my son gain more confidence and independence
The nursery also offers so many different experiences for the children. The forest school is amazing and my son loves it.
My daughter just started in the toddler's room as well and I can't wait to see her become more confident and independent like my son did

I have two girls at Little Tots and couldn't recommend it more highly. Having moved out of London, we couldn't believe our luck that we found such a fantastic nursery and managed to secure places for the girls. It is the most nurturing nursery - not afraid to scoop the girls up into a warm embrace,
which is an absolute must for us.
