Little Tots Nursery - Stoney Heath offers the best foundation for life. The Montessori philosophy teaches children independence from an early age and every child learns at their own pace and is treated as an individual.   

The nursery has a Forest School site within walking distance of the nursery, which is situated within the amazing grounds of Ewhurst Park Farm. The setting has a very strong ethos of outdoor learning, with the children having the opportunity to grow vegetables, learn about the local wildlife and make wild spaces for pollinators. They are part of the RHS Schools Gardening Scheme, and members of The Wildlife Trust, planting trees, taking part in The Big Bird Watch and nature walks.

The Nursery has a small cosy Baby Room, which caters for children from 6 months to 2 years, they encourage independence and begin to introduce Montessori philosophy at an early age.   

To complement the nursery day they also offer extra curriculum activities such as children’s yoga and music and dance, cooking and science sessions.

Unlike many nurseries, they benefit from a smaller environment and take a personal approach, the children remain with the same staff and peer group throughout their time at Little Tots in the nursery room, helping form relationships and gain confidence, the children benefit from strong social bonds, stability and continuity of care.

The Montessori ethos encourages “family grouping” where children aged 2-5 work together, with the older children acting as role models for the younger children and the younger children benefiting from learning by example from the older children. Little Tots put the child and parent’s needs first.

Open 8am-6pm Monday to Friday all year - limited term time only spaces available. Flexible sessions available.

Both my children (aged 2 and 4) attend Little Tots and though they are very different little characters from each other, the team at Little Tots are great with them both. They are taught loads (letter and number recognition etc) but also have a lot of fun with free play, dance, yoga, and forest school
- a really brilliant mix. We'd definitely recommend Little Tots.

Little Tots is such a great nursery. The staff are amazing and give a real family feel to the nursery. My little girl loves coming here and really enjoys all the activities that they do here. The location is fantastic as well for forest school.

As a mum, choosing the right nursery for my son was a big decision, and I'm so glad I listened to a friend who highly recommended this one to me-it's been the best choice we could have made.
From the moment we started, the staff made both of us feel so welcome and reassured. My son has come on so much
since attending-his confidence has grown, and he genuinely looks forward to going in each day, which means everything to me.
The staff are kind, patient, and really take the time to understand him as an individual. I also really appreciate the regular updates, which always put my mind at ease while he's there.
The nursery provides a lovely environment with lots of fun and engaging activities that support his learning and development.
I'm so grateful to have found such a caring and supportive nursery for my son, and I would highly recommend it to any parents looking for somewhere they can truly trust.

Both of my children attend the nursery. One in the nursery room and the other in baby's room.
The staff are so attentive friendly caring. They really enjoy looking after the children. Plenty and diverse activities. My boy will be attending reception in September and they are making sure that he will
be ready by supporting him in different areas ( Phonics, numbers, helping him to become more independent). Cannot be more grateful thank you to Luanne and her team.

The Little Tots team are amazing. I cannot rate them highly enough. Both our childen have been super happy here. My daughter still attends and loves it - she runs in and out smiling and happy every day and proceeds to tell us about all the fun things she's been up to. The staff are incredible, they

We've had an absolutely wonderful experience with Little Tots. Our daughter has been attending since last year, and we are incredibly grateful for the love, care, and support shown by the amazing staff.
It's so heartwarming to see how excited she gets about going to nursery every day. The team creates
such a nurturing and engaging environment that truly makes a difference.
Communication has been consistently excellent. We really appreciate the regular updates through the app, including details about meals, naps, and nappy changes, as well as the lovely photo updates that give us a glimpse into her daily activities.
A heartfelt thank you to all the staff for taking such great care of our daughter-we couldn't ask for a better place for her to grow and thrive.

I would highly recommend this nursery to every parent / carer. I've tried multiple nurseries for my children which none of them felt right until I found Little Tots. The staff are all outstanding, they put the children first always. It always feels like such a warm and welcoming nursery and very clean!
Which is what I personally love to see within a nursery. I travel 30 minutes just so my child can attend this nursery which I think speaks for itself! Thank you Little Tots staff for always making me feel at ease and happy dropping my little one off.

Our son found it difficult to settle when he first started nursery. The staff, especially his key carer, worked incredibly hard to support him through this transition. Thanks to their patience and care, he has built a wonderful relationship with his key carer and the other staff members.
We also sent
our older son here, so we have been part of this nursery for at least three years and are still going. Over that time, we have always felt confident leaving our children in their care, knowing they are being looked after well.
The nursery provides regular updates about our son, which we really appreciate. The staff have also been very supportive towards me as a mother. They understand that separation anxiety can affect not only the child but also the parent. His key carer and the nursery manager often check in and ask how I am doing, and I genuinely feel that they care not only about the children but also about the whole family.
I also love the activities they organise at the nursery.

This is the 3rd nursery we've tried for our 2 year old and I can't recommend it highly enough. It's far exceeded the standards of the other 2. The level of communications, service and commitment to various initiatives and learning is exceptional. Massive shout out to Leanne who clearly works incredibly

We couldn't be happier with the experience our son has had at this nursery. From the very beginning, the team has created a warm, nurturing and stimulating environment where children are genuinely cared for and encouraged to flourish.
The staff consistently go above and beyond-not only ensuring he
feels safe and happy, but actively supporting his development and confidence as he grows. We've seen real growth in his communication, curiosity and confidence in social situations.
As parents who both work in secondary schools, we see first-hand how important those early years are in shaping a child's confidence, independence and love of learning. Because of this, we deeply value the role the nursery plays in giving children such a strong foundation.
A special mention should go to one member of staff whose time spent settling our son in with quiet reading sessions made such a difference during the early days. That patience, care and personal attention helped him feel secure and excited.

Our son has been at Little Tots for 12 months now and from the very beginning, the entire team has created such a warm, nurturing, and supportive environment that truly feels like a second home to him, he has built beautiful relationships with his teachers, seeing how keen he is each morning says everything.
The
teachers are absolutely wonderful - caring, attentive, and genuinely invested in each child's growth and wellbeing. It's clear how much thought and effort goes into the programs and daily activities (yoga & dance class being a particular favourites), helping the children build confidence, curiosity, and social skills in a natural and engaging way.
We feel incredibly lucky to have found such a fantastic nursery and and would highly recommend it to any parent looking for a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for their child.

We couldn't be happier with the care & support our daughter receives at Little Tots. From the very beginning, the staff have been incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive, which made settling in so much easier for both our daughter and us as parents.


The team clearly care deeply about the children

and create such a safe, nurturing, and fun environment. Our daughter has grown so much in since starting, and it's wonderful to see how excited she is to go in each day. The activities they organise are engaging and help support learning and development in such a positive way.


Communication with parents is also excellent. We're always kept updated on what they have been doing, and the staff are happy to share feedback and answer any questions.


It's clear that the nursery goes above and beyond to provide the best possible experience for the children. We feel very lucky to have found such a caring and supportive place for our daughter, and we would highly recommend.

The staff at little tots are incredible. My daughter has struggled with her speech due to a mild case of glue ear when she was younger, the nursery staff have worked so hard to prepare her ready for school in September and helped her to pronounce her words so much clearer. My daughter has stopped getting
so frustrated from people not understanding her and everyone close to her have seen such an improvement. I Could not have got her to where she is without everyone at Little tots. On top of this my daughter has the best time there, she loves all the staff and always comes out smiling. I could not fault little tots and would recommend them to anyone looking for childcare.

Both our children have attended the nursery over the past 4 years and we absolutely love it!
Our little girl has been attending this nursery for the past two years, she thrives there and is always so happy to go in. She recently transitioned from the baby room to the nursery room and she's loving
it! She especially loves exploring all the big room has to offer and taking part in the extra-curricular activities like yoga and Tappy Toes, which have been such a lovely addition. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff and the whole nursery experience at Little Tots.
They have been so instrumental in the development of our daughter in providing a space to grow, learn and have so much fun! The staff at nursery really do care and provide so much support and really go the extra
mile! Our daughter comes home happy every day and full of so may stories of what she has been up to! We are so glad we found little tots and they all deserve so much recognition and praise!
