Little Tots Nursery - Stoney Heath offers the best foundation for life. The Montessori philosophy teaches children independence from an early age and every child learns at their own pace and is treated as an individual.   

The nursery has a Forest School site within walking distance of the nursery, which is situated within the amazing grounds of Ewhurst Park Farm. The setting has a very strong ethos of outdoor learning, with the children having the opportunity to grow vegetables, learn about the local wildlife and make wild spaces for pollinators. They are part of the RHS Schools Gardening Scheme, and members of The Wildlife Trust, planting trees, taking part in The Big Bird Watch and nature walks.

The Nursery has a small cosy Baby Room, which caters for children from 6 months to 2 years, they encourage independence and begin to introduce Montessori philosophy at an early age.   

To complement the nursery day they also offer extra curriculum activities such as children’s yoga and music and dance, cooking and science sessions.

Unlike many nurseries, they benefit from a smaller environment and take a personal approach, the children remain with the same staff and peer group throughout their time at Little Tots in the nursery room, helping form relationships and gain confidence, the children benefit from strong social bonds, stability and continuity of care.

The Montessori ethos encourages “family grouping” where children aged 2-5 work together, with the older children acting as role models for the younger children and the younger children benefiting from learning by example from the older children. Little Tots put the child and parent’s needs first.

Open 8am-6pm Monday to Friday all year - limited term time only spaces available. Flexible sessions available.

My daughter started at Little Tots in September 25 and has been really enjoying it so far! The staff there are so friendly and I'm confident my daughter is being very well cared for during her sessions. The nursery is run extremely efficiently and offers a wide range of activities as well as a brilliant
Forest School which my daughter loves. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone looking for a friendly and inviting environment to send their child too. Thanks Little Tots!

My son has been with Little Tots for just over a year now, and we cannot imagine him going anywhere else. Everything about this nursery has exceeded our expectations. The staff are amazing - full of fun and excitement, and so attentive to each child's needs. You can tell they get to know every child
really well and do it with such care and passion. My son is genuinely excited to go to nursery every time. I've also been so impressed with the extra-curricular activities. The weekly forest school is his favourite part of the week, and he also loves yoga and Tappy Toes. The sports day and the recent nativity were exceptional. It's obvious that this nursery is run really well because of how happy both the staff and the children are. We've attended several nurseries with our children over the years, and one of the things that really stands out here is how little staff turnover there is - the team seem genuinely happy. I couldn't recommend this nursery more, and we are so glad we found it.

I can't express enough how thrilled we are with our experience at little tots. The extra activities they offer, from arts and crafts to outdoor play, truly enrich my son's daily experience.


The nurturing environment at little tots makes all the difference. My son feels safe and loved here, which

is so important to us as parents. The staff are incredibly attentive and genuinely care about each child's well-being and development.


It's heartwarming to see how much he looks forward to going to nursery each day. Knowing he's in such a warm and supportive setting gives me peace of mind. I highly recommend little tots to any parent looking for a fantastic nursery experience!

Little tots is the most amazing nursery. They know my daughter inside out and we have never once had any tears or upset from her the whole 2 years she has been attending little tots so far as she genuinely loves to be there. She has developed so much over this time, and has built in confidence. The
staff are truly exemplary, go above and beyond and treat my daughter like she is one of their own. The nativity they recently put on was incredible, and the tears in the eyes of the staff from sheer joy and pride as our little ones did their bit on the stage shows how much love and care they have for each and every once of them.
I am so thrilled we chose little tots and trusted them with the care of our daughter. I would never change our choice for the world.

The Little Tots team are absolutely lovely and amazing. They are incredibly dedicated, caring and hard working with a real passion for making the nursery experience joyful and fun as well as educational. Both my children have been very happy and secure at Little Tots, and absolutely loved it. My son
- now at school - keeps asking if he can go back! The team are genuinely invested in each child's personal circumstances and development journey, for example they have helped us tremendously with some health issues including my son wearing hearing aids and my daughter's dietary intolerance. They care so much and I really cannot thank them enough.

A fantastic nursery with amazing teachers. Our son settled in instantly after moving to the area, compared to the c2 weeks it took previously. We have been thrilled with his progression and variety of activities. The ability to have adventures in the forest is great.

Our little boy made his transition from the baby room into the main nursery in October. The staff have gone above and beyond to support our son in this transition. Although he has maintained strong friendships formed in the baby room he is now forming new friendships with both his peers and the staff.
Recently our son has been very unwell and I can't thank the nursery manager enough for providing ongoing support and checking in on both of us throughout what has been quite a difficult few days. We can't put into words just how incredible this nursery really are!

My little one started at Little Tots this past September. I was so anxious to have her start because it was the same time her little brother was due and I was worried about the transition for her. Staff at Little Tots did everything they could to settle her in gently and were in communication with me
about how she was at each session so I really felt we were both supported!


In such a short space of time, my little one is thrilled to go to nursery every day and is always talking about the friends she has at nursery (often mixing up fellow attendees with teachers, because of what a lovely atmosphere Little Tots holds).


The activities the little ones do are so well rounded and thought out, I really feel they help the children to celebrate and learn from the changing seasons and the world around them, as well as skills and learning to play with peers too. The skills my daughter has picked up is amazing!

Truly the best nursery with the most kind and caring staff. I feel so lucky to have such a wonderful team caring for my little boy! He is learning so much and I look forward to the car debriefing on the way home. We are so well informed with everything that goes on in the nursery at all times which

Little tots is truly amazing! The staff are all so caring and kind. It's so reassuring to know that your child is cared for as if they were caring for their own child. The facilities are great too and all children from the age of 3 have access to Forest School. I would 100% recommend.

My youngest son spent 2 years with Little Tots (my 2 older daughters went there too) and the staff has been amazing and hands on support throughout his journey. I was absolutely sad when he completed his time at his nursery, only because we've made a close and meaningful relationship with the nursery

Our experience with Little Tots Nursery has been nothing short of exceptional. My son has been attending for nearly 2.5 years, and he absolutely loves it. The nursery offers a well-structured and educational environment that emphasizes learning through play, which has been incredibly beneficial for
his development.

Little tots nursery staff are like family and really care about the children. Always an upbeat and friendly environment and involvement with what the children do outside of nursery time. Our daughter's favourite thing has to be forest school, always the highlight of her week rain or shine. The way the

I was recommended Little Tots from my friend and now I tell everyone how amazing it is there. The manager and her team are truly so dedicated and informative its a real relief to know my son is well looked after and having the best time. They give you weekly updates as to what the children get up to
which makes you feel involved in the nursery too. I cant thank them enough for being that safe place for my son and me.

My daughter has been attending Little Tots since she was 11 months old. I couldn't be happier with the care she received and feel that she is well prepared for school mentally and socially. The staff are incredibly caring and patient and have created a warm, welcoming amd stimulating environment where
my daughter feels safe and happy. She loves the nursery activities - Tappy toes sessions where she takes part in sensory and musical activities. Forest school every week, where kids connect with nature, learn species of animals and enjoy snacks and group time. Practicing yoga has had a massively positive effect in times of managing emotions and frustration. She learns so much every day and demonstrates in her behaviour that the nursery skilfully implements Montessori teaching. I've been amazed to see how much she's learned and grown since starting. I would highly recommend little Tots to any parent looking for a nurturing and educational nursery for their child.
