Barley Wood Nursery

I have two children attending Barley Wood and am confident that they are well looked after and enjoying their time. Facilities and space available are excellent and the staff make really good use of it all. I am especially pleased with the Forest School aspect. Staff are kind and caring and really take the time to help children settle in, getting to know them as individuals. Although my children's personalities are very different I am happy that they are both in the best place available, making friends whilst learning and exploring.

Such a fantastic nursery the setting and forest school type activities are endless. Outdoor space in abundance and even indoors, the light space and views across the Mendip Hills give the facility an outdoor feel. The staff are wonderful and caring, the children have structure, routine and lots of fun. My children have been very well cared for here and my school children go to breakfast club. Ideal wraparound care with two at school and one nursery age.

Nothing but positive friendly and nurturing. Great indoor and outdoor space for children to explore, enjoy and thrive. Most importantly both our children run in with big smiles and are always engaged and happy when we collect them. They love it and the staff. We particularly like the outdoor play and education offered. An amazing environment for children.

Fabulous preschool in a beautiful setting. There is so much outdoor space for the children to explore - from woodlands to more formal gardens and a fish pond. The carers are great - engaging and fun and are always happy to have a chat about what my son's been up to that day. My son loves going to preschool at Barley Wood and is always full of exciting news when he gets home.

Since first attending nursery 18 months ago, our son has developed noticeably in many ways which is a testament to the team at Barley Wood Nursery. We know he enjoys his time at nursery and actively participates in many of the numerous activities that are laid on. We have found the level of childcare to be first class and feel confident in the ability and commitment of the staff at Barley Wood Nursery. The amount and nature of the feedback we receive on a daily basis is just right for us and assists greatly as our son continues to mature and develop as an individual.

We have 2 children who attend Barley Wood Nursery and they both absolutely love it. All the staff are friendly and approachable and know the children really well. They plan interesting and inspiring activities and even take the children on days out in the minibus. They make great use of the surroundings including the woods, pond and extensive gardens.

We are given individual daily feedback and challenges to support their learning at home. We feel very lucky that our children are looked after in such a caring, supportive and stimulating environment.
