A very magical place.

Great nursery, very caring and good systems in place to help my child integrate. Lots of outdoor play and home-cooked food. I feel staff really know my two boys well and support them to have fun days.

I would definitely recommend Barley Wood Nursery.

Barley Wood Nursery is a great nursery and our son really enjoys his time there. The woodland setting is unbeatable for outside adventures which he loves! The staff are incredible and work so hard to make sure the children have a really positive and enriching experiences while they are there. We recently welcomed a new baby into our family and I can’t speak highly enough of the staff as they supported both our son and us as a family through the changes that come with a sibling.

My 3 Star answers reflect the fact I have never actually been into the nursery so have no idea about cleanliness, or ICT!

Barley Wood Nursery offers the most fantastic provision. As an Early Years Teacher, I have been to many nurseries and this one is just dreamy! The staff are amazing. They genuinely know each child and how to support and develop them. Communication is fantastic. My son has been at Barley Wood for 2.5 years and has had the best education there. They go outside every day, den builds, climb trees, make fires, go pond dipping and visit the abundant wildlife. Inside, the staff create lots of learning opportunities and there is a real focus on their well-being which we appreciate. I cannot rate Barleywood more highly!

Both girls have formed good and strong relationships with staff and the other children that attend. I love how much time they spend outside on the lovely grounds. The nursery also has a much larger indoor space than other nurseries we looked at. The food they have every day is great and varied. I would highly recommend Barley Wood to any parents and children.

Our children love Barley Wood Nursery! The staff are all so friendly and really connect with the children. They are outside as much as possible on the fantastic grounds, doing all kinds of fun games and activities. The building could do with some love in places, but the nursery team are fabulous.

Our two children both love the nursery. All the staff are so friendly and caring. It feels very personal and safe. The kids are thriving and always have so much fun outside on the beautiful grounds. We really could not rate the staff at Barley Wood high enough!

Barley Wood Nursery offers an outstanding provision - I could not recommend it highly enough. Both my children have attended Barley Wood, and I have felt confident dropping them off for every session - they were always happy, safe and cared for. The staff team are absolutely fantastic - every single member of the team genuinely cares for each child and family. We looked around so many nurseries, and there is something so special about the care at Barleywood. The leadership team are wonderful; the manager is committed and caring and goes out of her way to ensure that every child is looked after, their needs are met and they are happy. The facilities are out of this world - every time I drop off and pick up I cannot believe how lucky my children are to be in the most beautiful setting and benefit from so much outside space. I am so grateful to the wonderful Barleywood team for giving both my children the best start in their lives and initiating their lifelong love of learning!

Barley Wood is a lovely nursery. I have no doubts that the staff look after my boys with lots of love and care and it is because of the way that they do this I would highly recommend this nursery. The daily activities are fun, educational and interesting. The outside adventures that the children undertake are terrific and my eldest always comes home bubbling with stories. I think Barley Wood is a happy place and one that I am so glad we found. Thanks so much to the fabulous team for all that they do.

I cannot rate Barley Wood Nursery highly enough. All of the staff are absolutely incredible and, quite honestly, they all feel like an extension of our family. Both our girls adore nursery and the staff and they all coped incredibly well throughout lockdown. Barley Wood have an outstanding team and it is clear from the huge development with both our girls, that they do an amazing job every day. I am proud to send our girls to this wonderful nursery.

Our son has been going to Barley Wood from 10 months old and will soon be going on to primary school. It is so reassuring that he goes to a nursery that we trust totally. The staff are wonderful, the location idyllic and the cost very reasonable. We feel that Barley Wood Nursery has been great for both his social skills and his general development.

Barley Wood is an amazing nursery! From my little boy starting three weeks ago, I have been so impressed with all the staff at the nursery and the setting is incredible! Where else has outdoor areas like Barley Wood?! My little boy is always welcomed with a smiley face and thoroughly enjoys his time at the nursery. The meals provided are delicious (they must be as he eats it all!) and staff friendly, approachable yet professional at all times. I would recommend Barley Wood to any parent wanting a safe, secure and educational environment for their child to learn and grow. Thank you to all the team at Barley Wood. (My son also attends Yew Trees Nursery which I highly recommend as well.)

Barley Wood is like home from home. The first time I looked around the nursery, I got an instant good, happy feel about the place!

My children love all the staff and never want to leave. They are treated as an individual instead of a number, and have learnt so much! I cannot rate Barley Wood Nursery highly enough with the staff and the learning activities provided.

Barley Wood Nursery is a fantastic nursery. My son loves going there, and asks to go even on his days off! The staff are brilliant and create a family feel in the nursery, always coming up with great things for the children to explore and engage in. The effort the staff put in is above and beyond. This is a fantastic nursery, with great friendly staff. An amazing outdoor space, with Forest School. Our daughter really enjoys nursery and soon our son will be there too. We feel they are cared for to a very high standard with some great activities and challenges.

I have two children attending Barley Wood and am confident that they are well looked after and enjoying their time. Facilities and space available are excellent and the staff make really good use of it all. I am especially pleased with the Forest School aspect. Staff are kind and caring and really take the time to help children settle in, getting to know them as individuals. Although my children's personalities are very different I am happy that they are both in the best place available, making friends whilst learning and exploring.
