St Margarets Nursery & Preschool Craigmillar Park

St Margaret’s Nursery is a haven for children with the loveliest, caring staff. Time is taken with the children when it comes to learning and activities. My granddaughter has been there for 2 years and she has come on in leaps and bounds. It will be a sad day when she leaves to start school.

My 1 year old has just started at St Margarets and she loves it. She's settled in so well and the staff are amazingly friendly and supportive. The place is so lovely and warm and inviting, with plenty to do and learning seems fun! Thanks for making the first week so easy.

From the minute you enter the bright, modern and spacious reception area, you feel like this is somewhere that encourages learning, and has been designed and purpose-built to support that. No pokey dark corridors or dodgy conversions, all the rooms are well equipped (with all the essentials neatly packed away out of little ones' reach!) leaving the floorspace free for play. A range of stimulating activities, their own soft play room, plus huge garden area (a real premium in the city centre). The online learning journal means grandparents can login and see our child develop, even from 300+ miles away. They have amazingly varied hot meals so she only ever needs a light tea before bed - perfect for working parents. They are attentive to her every need, notice when she is under the weather, have supported her through many key learning and development stages and keep setting new goals for the staff to work towards with her. I would thoroughly recommend both the building and the staff.

Great and helpful staff. It is nice to know that they pay so much attention to every child even though it is sometimes very difficult. Good feedback is provided daily. Outdoor space is brilliant - my son absolutely loves it. Other facilities are excellent too, eg. soft play inside the nursery building. Very approachable management team.

I would recommend all parents to send your children to this nursery, staff are nice here. The facilities excellent, not just a huge outside garden with kids play house, slide, swing...they also have an inside softplay room, which is my son's favorite place. Since I have sent my boy there he has learnt so many things and also met his best friend in there.

St Margarets is a lovely place with energetic staff who seem caring. Good feedback is provided daily. The staff are helpful and the children get to have lots of time in the garden.

St Margarets Nursery is a fantastic private nursery that provides parents with the peace of mind to leave their child in safe surroundings. The friendly and flexible staff offer great support and development to each child and lots of extra activities means that individual needs and interests are catered for. The reputation and reliability of the most experienced room leader manager gives continuity of care. I cannot recommend this nursery more highly and thank them for taking care of both my daughters. Especially during changes and other challenges in our lives. We appreciate all the help.

My son has just started last month. Him enjoy the time in nursery and do a variety of activities I have found staff to be attentive to my children needs and receive detailed feedback on how the days have gone.

My son has attended the nursery for the last 9 months. The staff are caring and nurturing and have made sure all transitions have gone smoothly. My son is happy to arrive in the mornings and all members of my family have been made to feel very welcome. The management are professional and accommodating and communication from the nursery is regular and informative. The facilities are attractive and the outdoor spaces are superb. I would be very happy to recommend the nursery to other parents.

This nursery provides a safe and fun environment. My son particularly likes to play outside in the fantastic purpose built play areas or the soft play facility on the 1st floor. There are lots of different learning activities too which are fun & educational for the kids. The staff are fantastic with the kids, also the management team are really helpful and friendly.

I can't speak highly enough of St Margaret's and the team there. My daughter is thriving. Facilities are terrific and the staff are all incredibly friendly and caring. The activities are varied even for a wee one like mine and communication with parents is excellent.

My daughter has attended the nursery from 3 months old and the care she has received has been of the highest level; the provision of the service from all the staff is extremely attentive and professional. Though we moved to the other side of the town we still make the 45 minute trip to and from the nursery everyday because in my eyes it is entirely worth it.

My granddaughter started at St Margaret's at the beginning of October & is loving the contact with other kids of her age. The activities arranged by the nursery have stimulated her. The staff are very attentive & the nursery is proactive & innovative in the way they operate.

Our daughter has been attending St Margaret's nursery for nine months and is extremely happy there. She is excited when we arrive and is always keen to see what is going on. The staff have always offered exceptional care and have really got to know our daughter as an individual. I have been particularly impressed by the variety of activities which they do day-to-day, even though she is still only 18 months old. She has always loved being outside so the large gardens are a big bonus.

My shy son is happy here and has made friends. We all especially love the large outdoor space and focus on outdoor learning, especially in a city environment. The staff are all very friendly and helpful.

Staff in the baby room have been fantastic. In particular I'm very impressed with the Baby Room staff. My little boy seems very happy with them. Management are friendly and have been very flexible and accommodating with my childcare needs. I would definitely recommend this nursery.

St. Margarets Nursery has a pleasant atmosphere for the children to thrive. The environment is clean and the teachers are quite helpful with the kids. They helped my daughter settle in very well and took time to ensure she was comfortable. I would highly recommend the Nursery to friends and family. I would further encourage more activities such as swimming considering the Commonwealth pool is around the corner or horse riding that can be more engaging for the children. All in all the Nursery is wonderful for the children.
