St Margarets Nursery & Preschool Craigmillar Park

My son has attended the nursery for the last 9 months. The staff are caring and nurturing and have made sure all transitions have gone smoothly. My son is happy to arrive in the mornings and all members of my family have been made to feel very welcome. The management are professional and accommodating and communication from the nursery is regular and informative. The facilities are attractive and the outdoor spaces are superb. I would be very happy to recommend the nursery to other parents.

This nursery provides a safe and fun environment. My son particularly likes to play outside in the fantastic purpose built play areas or the soft play facility on the 1st floor. There are lots of different learning activities too which are fun & educational for the kids. The staff are fantastic with the kids, also the management team are really helpful and friendly.

I can't speak highly enough of St Margaret's and the team there. My daughter is thriving. Facilities are terrific and the staff are all incredibly friendly and caring. The activities are varied even for a wee one like mine and communication with parents is excellent.

My daughter has attended the nursery from 3 months old and the care she has received has been of the highest level; the provision of the service from all the staff is extremely attentive and professional. Though we moved to the other side of the town we still make the 45 minute trip to and from the nursery everyday because in my eyes it is entirely worth it.

I totally recommend it.

My granddaughter started at St Margaret's at the beginning of October & is loving the contact with other kids of her age. The activities arranged by the nursery have stimulated her. The staff are very attentive & the nursery is proactive & innovative in the way they operate.

Our daughter has been attending St Margaret's nursery for nine months and is extremely happy there. She is excited when we arrive and is always keen to see what is going on. The staff have always offered exceptional care and have really got to know our daughter as an individual. I have been particularly impressed by the variety of activities which they do day-to-day, even though she is still only 18 months old. She has always loved being outside so the large gardens are a big bonus.

My shy son is happy here and has made friends. We all especially love the large outdoor space and focus on outdoor learning, especially in a city environment. The staff are all very friendly and helpful.

Staff in the baby room have been fantastic. In particular I'm very impressed with the Baby Room staff. My little boy seems very happy with them. Management are friendly and have been very flexible and accommodating with my childcare needs. I would definitely recommend this nursery.

St. Margarets Nursery has a pleasant atmosphere for the children to thrive. The environment is clean and the teachers are quite helpful with the kids. They helped my daughter settle in very well and took time to ensure she was comfortable. I would highly recommend the Nursery to friends and family. I would further encourage more activities such as swimming considering the Commonwealth pool is around the corner or horse riding that can be more engaging for the children. All in all the Nursery is wonderful for the children.

The managerial staff are always warm and friendly.

Very approachable management team, who have helped implement practices that have allowed my child to develop. The staff are very good if a little inexperienced but again are willing to listen to parents and try and help each and every child. Would recommend this nursery to anyone. The facilities are first class.

I have two children currently attending, my 3 year old has been there for just over two years and absolutely loves it and my 1 year old has just started and settling in nicely.

All the staff are very friendly and I get daily updates on both children on pick up as well as updates to the learning journal where I can see pictures of what my children have been doing. The staff are very focused on the children's development and I can honestly say my oldest will miss the nursery when he starts school.

Admin is also very good and any emails or queries are answered straight away in my experience. They also welcome suggestions and feedback and hold regular meetings for the parents to discuss any such suggestions.

The facilities are excellent inside and out and include a soft play area. Regular events/parties are arranged and I feel part of a great little community!

I did not think twice about sending my youngest here and would highly recommend to others.

I'm grateful every day that we transferred our children from their old nursery to St. Margaret's. The staff are terrific: friendly, enthusiastic, capable, and trustworthy. We are kept very well informed as to our kids' activities, with summaries at the end of the day and photos taken periodically and put up on a website so we can see what projects they've been working on. My children love attending, and whenever I'm there I see them playing, learning, and exploring. I could not ask for more. Whether it regards special needs, particular adventures, or just every day activity, St. Margaret's has repeatedly exceeded my expectations in every respect. I would recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone.

My daughter has been attending St Margarets for a year and half and my son has just started last month. They both enjoy their time in nursery and do a variety of activities. The facilities both indoor and outdoor are great. The gardens have high quality equipment and toys and they also have a soft play room where the kids can let off steam in the poorer weather. I have found staff to be attentive to my children's needs and receive detailed feedback on how their days have gone. My daughter enjoys step it up dance class on one of her mornings and has previously done cooking classes. In our search for the right people/place to care for our kids no other nursery came close to St Margarets and I can't recommend it enough.

My daughter loves going to St Margarets. The staff are very friendly and the facilities outstanding. From day one we were made to feel very welcome. The soft play is an added bonus, as well as the various classes like enjoyaball, dancing and sparklearts the nursery offers. Having checked the nurseries in the area this was the one that really stood out. My daughter can be quite a fussy eater but she loves the nursery food she is given. I can't recommend St Margarets highly enough.
