My son has had a few occasions where he has been sick at daycare and we have had to collect him and keep him home for two following days, however, I do not always feel this has been proportionate as on one particular occasion, he has been sick due to being fed soon after having something to eat at home
and so was simply over-fed. As such we have had to have him home and pay for days he was not there, not due to illness, but simply because he had been sick. I think it would be reasonable to consider the circumstances more on each case, especially when this causes inconvenience to the parents and added financial cost.
Also, there have been many occasions where I have been exiting the car park and have seen people purposefully waiting to be allowed in. In my opinion, if they do not know the passcode they should not be coming in, otherwise it defeats the purpose of the barrier in the first place. It might be beneficial to have two separate barriers to prevent this otherwise, I'm very happy.

I moved both of my daughters here over a year ago from our village pre-school and haven't looked back. My eldest daughter attended for over 6 months before going to school in September and my younger daughter still attends weekly sessions. The nursery has a warm and friending atmosphere from the moment
you step through the door. The staff are a real credit to the nursery and within hours of my daughters starting at the nursery they had already worked out their personalities and used that to get the best out of them. I would definitely recommend Monkey Puzzle.

My boys have only just joined this nursery but they have settled really well. Both them and I felt welcome from the moment we arrived and the staff have been very kind and caring throughout our time there. They have a real interest in both the development and happiness of the children they work with
and always keep the parents informed. I have been very happy so far.

I would recommend this nursery to any parent 100%.

Both of my children attend this nursery (one in the baby room and one in the toddler room) and feel that the care they receive from the staff at the nursery is second to none. They love coming and they have fun and learn at the same time.

The

staff make you feel so welcomed and update you on your child's progress every day.

This is a fabulous nursery and anyone looking to put their child into here will have no regrets.

Very good at looking after the children and they have great carers looking after the children within the school. The sensory room is amazing with all the interactive features and activities in the room. The rooms set out are fabulous and the activities are great. I also really enjoy going in the school
holidays as they have lots of school outings.

I was so happy with the pre-school here. My little boy grew in confidence, had so many activities to keep him happy and get him ready for school, they have a lovely garden and a big field to play in, which is fantastic as my little guy loves to be outside. The staff are lovely and helpful and the manager
is brilliant. Thank you so much.

Unfortunately for me, monkey puzzle wasn't around when I needed childcare for my daughter but thankfully for my niece's it is.
Fantastic setting with excellent staff. As a parent or carer, you are always kept fully informed of what your child has been doing each time they attend. The children are
always having lots of fun whilst learning at the same time.

Really great Nursery. Both my grandchildren have attended the nursery, the youngest is now in preschool. Great bunch of ladies who really do an amazing job of looking after the kids. Looks like great fun, food, experiences and love the wide open space outside the nursery... can Grandparents attend too?

Both my Grandchildren have attended the nusery, the staff are amazing. The care, love, nurturing is evident throughout the nursery. The daily activities are stimulating and enjoyed by both staff and children. The warmth and love is evident throughout. It is evident that all children there are happy
to be there, the laughter, play and smiles say it all. What an amazing space for them to be in.

My daughter who is 3 attends this nursery and she has come out of her shell so much and became more confident and outgoing. I will be sending my 2-year-old daughter to this nursery when the time comes.
I have had bad experiences with a day nursery that my twins went to who are now 14 and was a bit
wary of putting my daughter into a day nursery but the staff are all friendly and very family orientated and excellent with my daughter.
I always recommend Monkey Puzzle to family and friends.
I couldn't ask for a well managed and friendly staff for my daughter to be around

Our daughter attends full time. What a great place! She's been to other childcare places over time but our daughter really misses not going to Monkey Puzzle, and you can tell. They hold events all year and take care of our daughter. When picking up we get a daily debrief, any issues, any bumps etc are
all recorded and acknowledged.

Food is great, even got offered some when I was there waiting for my daughter to finish her lunch. Yum yum!!

Current Review Score: 7.8 (7.842)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 7.8 (7.842) out of 10 for Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Irthlingborough is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 2 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.2 out of 5 from 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.625 for Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Irthlingborough is calculated as follows: ( (15 Excellents x 5) + (9 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 24 Ratings = 4.625
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.217 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Irthlingborough is based on 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 = 3.125
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 109 number of registered child places is 21.8. 2 Positive Reviews ÷ 21.8 = 0.092
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
