Excellent child-focused environment!! My daughter loves her days at Monkey Puzzle. She really enjoys all the activities that are always varied daily and the outdoor play area. She has made some lovely little friendships with the other children and always likes to tell me that she has had lots of fun
which is very reassuring to know that she has enjoyed her day while I have been at work. I Highly recommend the nursery and have found all the staff to be very helpful. They have even encouraged my little fussy eater to join in at meal times!

My son took a while to settle into his new routine after I returned to work. The staff were fantastic not only in looking after and reassuring my son but also in reassuring me. It's amazing to see how much his confidence has increased already.

A fantastic nursery that truly has your child at the forefront of their minds. The staff are extremely approachable and very friendly, taking time and effort to fill you in on your child's day. The family feel and love that comes across from his nursery makes me know that my child is cared for in a
loving environment and is developing, learning and growing whilst we are at work.
The security is extremely good, the fingerprint entry gives reassurance but also promotes an open door policy.
The communication is fabulous, regular emails and information about what is happening at the nursery and what your child's room will be doing for the coming week.
Overall a fantastic nursery that my child loves going to, he constantly talks about the staff and children in a positive way. He is blossoming under their care and through their guidance.

I had a really bad year last year which meant I delayed my sons start date on numerous occasions. The management were so amazing about the whole situation. Friendly, warm, welcoming! Even giving special cuddles to my daughter who has never been to Monkey Puzzle officially but loves to say hi. Such lovely
staff. Wonderful !

My niece goes to Monkey Puzzle and she loves it, she can't wait to come in and play with her new friends and ever since she's been going to nursery, her language development has improved a lot, she's coming out with new words nearly every day. I'm so happy she goes to this nursery and I will definitely
recommend it to anyone who asks.

Before starting with Monkey Puzzle I looked around 2 others locally. By far I found Monkey Puzzle to have the nicest, brightest family friendly atmosphere as well as being competitively priced. The staff always have smiles on their faces and you can tell they love their jobs. My daughter started at
this nursery when she was 9 months old and is now 22 months old. Since joining, she's really come out of her shell and absolutely loves going. There are never any arguments or sadness about having to go to nursery!

My little boy is very settled in the nursery. He looks forward to going and doesn't want to leave at the end of the day.
The staff treat him like I would and I am very happy to leave him there whilst I work.
If I have any questions, staff respond very well and I get a full update on what he has
done each day.
The staff actively take an interest in all our lives not just my little boy.
They do a variety of activities each day and all are encouraged to participate. My little one has come on leaps and bounds and is showing new skills all the time.

Overall, very very pleased and will and have recommended to others.

My son loves attending this nursery and it is reflected beautifully in his behaviour when he comes home. The staff are engaging and run regular activities to stimulate his busy little brain. He is encouraged to build healthy relationships with his peers and parents are kept up to date with weekly planned
activities via email and an online journal where you can see his progress.
The facilities are well kept and cleaned to a high standard.
I would highly recommend this nursery.

My little boy has attended Monkey Puzzle Irthlingborough for the last 5 months and he absolutely loves it there. Very friendly staff who always give him a big cheery welcome in the morning. I also feel, as a parent that I can talk to the staff about any concerns freely. During Christmas time, my son
had an accident which meant he was absent from nursery for 4 weeks, the staff kept in contact with us and he absolutely couldn't wait to get back which I think speaks volumes. He has made brilliant progress and I think the nursery does a brilliant job helping the children to get ready for school. I can't fault Monkey Puzzle Irthlingborough at all and I will absolutely be sending my second son there when the time comes.

My child has attended the nursery for 10 months, she is well settled and always looks like she has had a great day when we pick her up. There is always different activities that she has completed each day which keeps her stimulated. The nursery is great at introducing varied foods to my child's diet.
It's great that I can I drop my child off with just her rucksack with spare clothes and not have to worry about nappies or wipes for the day as they are all included in the upfront monthly costs.
Staff are always friendly and welcoming and will always make the effort to talk to the children when coming into nursery grounds.

Current Review Score: 7.8 (7.842)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 7.8 (7.842) out of 10 for Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Irthlingborough is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 2 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.2 out of 5 from 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.625 for Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Irthlingborough is calculated as follows: ( (15 Excellents x 5) + (9 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 24 Ratings = 4.625
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.217 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Irthlingborough is based on 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 = 3.125
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 109 number of registered child places is 21.8. 2 Positive Reviews ÷ 21.8 = 0.092
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
