Tiddlywinks Nursery Group proudly opened its fifth setting in the heart of the Ancoats/Beswick community, offering exceptional early years care and education for children aged four months up to school age. Their aim is simple: to give every child the very best start in life.

At Tiddlywinks Ancoats, they believe that children thrive when parents and practitioners work in true partnership. Together, they create a rich, rewarding, and stimulating experience filled with fun, laughter, and meaningful learning opportunities.

Their nursery ethos focuses on providing a happy, secure, and nurturing environment where every child can grow socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually. With three spacious outdoor areas, an enhanced provision throughout the setting, and opportunities for real-world exploration, children are encouraged to investigate, discover, and learn through child-led play.

They offer a wide range of exciting activities designed to ignite curiosity, build independence, and allow children to take safe, calculated risks as they develop confidence in their own abilities. Every child’s unique interests are celebrated and used to shape their learning journey.

Tiddlywinks Ancoats also proudly provides free childcare places for eligible two and three year olds through early years education funding, helping families access high-quality childcare all year round.

I am happy with my daughters development. I think she has achieved a lot with positive support from her teachers. She talks positively about her teachers. My daughters speech is really good. She handles a conversation and I am so proud of my little girl. I want to also thank the teachers for her potty
training. I have spoken with her teacher with regards to her next steps for her development.

Highly recommend Tiddlywinks. My son has additional needs with a learning and development delay and also a speech delay. The ladies at Ancoats have helped him come along in all areas and helped him reach his goals. He really loves going and gets excited when we arrive at nursery, which is a relief for
me and my partner as my son does find it difficult in new places and with new people. Thank you.

Both my children have attended this nursery and I wouldn't trust any other nursery to take care of them to the same high standard. The staff are kind, caring and professional. The activities are varied and the food is great. My older child is now at school and she still talks about this nursery with
fondness and loves visiting to collect her brother. I have every confidence in recommending this nursery - they are excellent.

I'm so happy I found Tiddlywinks Day Nursery Ancoats. My son took a while to settle into the new routine but the staff were always patient with him and did everything they could to make him comfortable and happy. Now he's so excited to come to nursery. And he's always talking about the nursery workers
at home. He loves them and he loves going every day. It's clear all the staff genuinely care about him and I leave him here knowing he's in great hands. I'd recommend this nursery to all.

My daughter started here a year and a half ago and all the staff I have ever come across have been friendly, caring and supportive. They all want the best for the children in their care and this is reassuring. Management have an open door policy and make sure they are seen and available.

My daughter has been going to this nursery since she was around 8 months old and she is now 2 years old. She absolutely loves it here and there have never been any issues.


My daughter loves being with all the other children and she also feels really comfortable around the staff. They are all very

welcoming and made us feel so relaxed leaving her there as we can see how happy she is and how much fun she has.


Thank you Tiddlywinks staff for looking after our little girl! Would definitely recommend this nursery to other parents.

My 2 and 3/4-year-old daughter loves coming here and has been coming since she was 11 months old. The nursery has always been supportive and really helped. She struggled to settle in initially. She talks to me on the way home about her friend at nursery and what she's been doing during the day. The
staff are wonderful and her key worker is great at sharing with us what she's done in the day. I feel that the staff really work with the parents to do the best for the kids. I strongly recommend Tiddlywinks.
