Tiddlywinks Nursery Group proudly opened its fifth setting in the heart of the Ancoats/Beswick community, offering exceptional early years care and education for children aged four months up to school age. Their aim is simple: to give every child the very best start in life.

At Tiddlywinks Ancoats, they believe that children thrive when parents and practitioners work in true partnership. Together, they create a rich, rewarding, and stimulating experience filled with fun, laughter, and meaningful learning opportunities.

Their nursery ethos focuses on providing a happy, secure, and nurturing environment where every child can grow socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually. With three spacious outdoor areas, an enhanced provision throughout the setting, and opportunities for real-world exploration, children are encouraged to investigate, discover, and learn through child-led play.

They offer a wide range of exciting activities designed to ignite curiosity, build independence, and allow children to take safe, calculated risks as they develop confidence in their own abilities. Every child’s unique interests are celebrated and used to shape their learning journey.

Tiddlywinks Ancoats also proudly provides free childcare places for eligible two and three year olds through early years education funding, helping families access high-quality childcare all year round.

My daughter has been going to Tiddlywinks in Ancoats for 4 months now and I couldn't be happier, so much so that we have moved house to a different area but still choose to commute to this nursery. Every single member of staff makes the effort to say hello and make small talk at drop-off and pick-up
which really gives a sense of the friendly feel to this nursery. My daughter settled in well and we get regular updates on how she is doing, both via the app and when we see the staff. Security at the nursery is really good, my husband once got asked for ID as he doesn't pick her up much - this was really reassuring. They do lots of different activities with the children which keep them stimulated throughout the day. Management are great and respond to any queries really quickly.

We couldn't be happier with Tiddlywinks. They really understand that little ones and their parents may be nervous about nursery and do everything that can to make it a wonderful experience. Parents are kept informed of what their little ones are doing and having to eat via updates and photos through
the app, while little ones are kept stimulated and entertained with a variety of activities throughout the day. Best of all, the staff really care and closely work hard to ensure the little ones are happy while trying new things and developing new skills. It's great to see our baby having such a good time and coming home having learnt new things - he started at 11-months, but we'd wholeheartedly recommend Tiddlywinks for little ones of all ages.

My son absolutely loves Tiddlywinks and all the staff here: he struggled really badly with his speech and language before attending Tiddlywinks.
But now he’s really surprising us all with the amount of new words and sentences he’s saying daily!


The staff here are fantastic, very supportive, caring

and just overall really lovely people.


My son really didn’t like going to his old nursery, he would cry every day on the way there, but not at Tiddlywinks; he bounces in every day with a smile and waves me goodbye.

I can't recommend this nursery enough. They have been absolutely fantastic with my son. He has attended the setting for over a year, after having a dreadful time at his previous nursery. He settled so well and I felt comfortable leaving him with the very capable staff from day one. The parent app keeps
you updated and you can see photos of activities throughout the day. He is well-fed and all of his needs are more than met. He has so much fun and speaks fondly of his time at nursery. Children are stimulated with different activities, all of the other toddlers seem very happy there too. He talks about his friends and the staff when he comes home. They have lots of time outside as well, which my son loves. They have brilliant facilities and lots of different areas for the children to explore. The nursery is clean and smells nice, unlike some nurseries! It's very calming in the reception area, making children feel comfortable and relaxed.
