Kindred Odstock Nursery and Pre-School

Our son has been at Kindred Odstock for nearly a year now, watching him grow and develop has been a real delight. The staff have gone above and beyond to support and settle him helping him adapt to our unique family scenario with his dad working away for weeks at a time. Seeing him create friendships with others in his class and work through toddler boundaries has been well-supported by the staff. Regular updates through the app allow us as parents to feel assured he is in good care whilst also updating us on what he has been learning. I would highly recommend Kindred Odstock if you are considering a nursery, the staff are beyond friendly and they provide an environment for your child to thrive.

We did not hesitate to register my son for the nursery before he was born. He started at 9 months and after support from all staff, he has grown to really enjoy the nursery environment. Our son is very different to our daughter and the staff treat them as individuals recognising their needs. They keep the same key worker for siblings which has really helped us, as parents, feel safe and help provide good communication during our second babies transition to nursery.

I have now used the nursery for both my children, my youngest attends currently. I work long hours and am reassured every day that he is in the safest hands, cared for and supported and thriving. Every day there is some new idea or craft to get involved with and all children are genuinely happy. Can’t rate this nursery highly enough!

Over the past six years, both of our children have attended Kindred Odstock Day Nursery and Pre-School and the standard of care has consistently been exceptional. The staff are truly outstanding! They are caring, warm and possess a deep understanding of each individual child. They care about our children’s interests and development and their commitment to practicing respectful care is evident, whilst they also excel in nurturing self-belief and independence in the children. The environment, both indoors and outdoors, is predominantly child-led, providing them with the freedom to explore their imaginations while also offering structured activities. Our daughter particularly enjoys the giant sandpit, the loose parts room, as well as engaging in activities like rugby and forest school. I like that the meals are nutritious and freshly prepared at the nursery and that there is an app to keep us updated on photos, payments, meals etc. Our children have had an enriching time at nursery and are well-prepared for school.

Kindred Odstock is a great nursery setting. They’ve been amazing with my daughter who has special needs and they are supporting her in every way they can. They support her sensory needs and interests so she can develop to her best potential. They make necessary adjustments to accommodate her needs which we are grateful for. The staff are lovely, kind, patient, understanding and experienced. They communicate well with us (parents) via the app where they update us with the achievement and development of our daughter which is great. They have lots of interesting activities indoors and outdoors that would develop the children’s imagination and creativity. I would recommend them to anyone.

It has been a pleasure to send our son (now three) to Kindred Odstock for the last couple of years. He has really enjoyed his time there and it's been great seeing him progress and constantly grow in confidence with his own abilities and his relationships. He started in babies and is now in the pre-school room, where they are exploring ways to build on his interests to extend his learning. The staff are friendly, welcoming and accommodating. I love how much safe outside space there is and how the children are encouraged to take part in extra activities such as 'Rugby Practice' - a firm favourite! We are due a second child in May and have already signed him up to start in 2025. We look forward to our children continuing their journey with Kindred over the coming years and think it has been a great start in the heart of the community we live in.

My little girl attends Kindred Odstock and I cannot fault the place. All the staff are so lovely and you can see how much they make an impact on the children. My little girl is always excited to go into the school and never says bye. Especially when they were gearing up for Christmas and learning all their new winter songs.

I cannot praise the Kindred Odstock team enough. I was very nervous about putting our daughter into preschool and they went above and beyond to help settle her into preschool as well as make me feel at ease about the process. Our daughter goes in happily every day and leaves each day full of stories about all they have done with a big smile on her face. I would highly recommend Kindred Odstock to all parents, it’s a home-from-home.

What an absolute delight all the staff are. We love this nursery. Always made to feel welcome. I don’t think we could have found such a perfect match for us and our child. As soon as we viewed the place, we felt right at home and knew it was the perfect, nurturing environment for us. Not a single fault to be had, just the highest of standards. My child has thrived here, loves all the staff and talks about them and her friends all the time. Thank you all for your outstanding work.

Outstanding nursery! I am so glad I chose my son to attend this nursery, the staff are all amazing and my son has come on leaps and bounds in less than a year, his confidence has grown massively and I cannot thank them enough!

Our son attended previously and after a short break, we are now coming back, this time his sister will be attending too. The staff have been incredibly accommodating, helpful and as usual friendly and kind. He has blossomed during his time here with the most incredible activities focused on an enormous range of learning both indoors and outdoors, hands-on exploring, creating and development. He has come on leaps and bounds in so many areas, we can't wait to watch both him and his sister settle in for lots more learning and exploring.

I’m sure I speak for all parents when I say nursery was always a daunting moment, knowing your child would be under the care of others without you there but all of that worry immediately went away for me when my daughter started kindred, I can honestly say I see them all as family! The love and care they continue to show for my little girl is more than I could ever have wished for, thank you to all Kindred Odstock Staff.

Beautiful setting with amazing staff who care about the children and their needs. Children look up to their teachers and our child always talks about them and what they did during the day. Food is delicious as my child always says it is and eats everything. They also have a great Special Educational Needs Coordinator who is really knowledgeable and supports all children who have special needs. We have a great relationship with our child's teacher - they always listen and support us. Staff are always very positive. Communication is great too and there is a weekly letter which summarises all activities during the week with pictures too.

Such a wonderful nursery. They are fantastic with my little boy who took a while to settle. Such a kind and friendly team! As soon as we visited we knew that we wanted to send our son there. They have some fantastic family events too which we always look forward to. The girls in the baby room are just fab.

A wonderfully nurturing, creative and inspiring environment for little ones. The staff have a fantastic bond with the children and the food always sounds so delicious, that I’m actually sometimes a bit jealous of what my son has for lunch! There is also a really good level of communication and updates about what they’re doing.

We are extremely happy to have found such a special place for our daughter to learn. She has been at Odstock since she was 10 months old and is now in the pre school. The staff are respectful, caring and know our child, with all her quirks and eccentricities and treat her as we treat her at home. We would recommend Odstock wholeheartedly.

I couldn't recommend Kindred Odstock nursery enough. My daughter has been attending for just under a year and thoroughly enjoys it. All the staff are so welcoming and treat the children with such respect, asking before wiping their nose, giving them choices and allowing them to develop their own interests. The outdoor space is great and the staff encourage children to do lots of outdoor play and exploration. The communication between staff and parent is also fantastic. There is an app that is updated with info such as time and length of naps, what and how much food etc as well as messages and photos of how the children's day is going. In addition, at pick up time the key worker will spend time telling you about the children's day, any concerns etc, and I have never felt rushed to leave. Whilst it is slightly more expensive than other nurseries I truly believe it is value for money.
