We have been beyond impressed with Poppies. Our little boy started this year in the Baby Nest and his key worker and all the ladies have showered him with love and given us the confidence to go back to work knowing he is in safe and wonderful hands.

My daughter has joined the nursery a few days ago but I am very pleased so far. All the girls are very nice and kind. From the very beginning are trying to welcome my daughter. More comments and reviews to follow as we are very new at the nursery.

Great Nursery and Staff, they have been amazing and I am beyond happy we found this place. Great food and care. Little one loves going and even wants to stay at pick-ups on occasion as he's had so much fun.

Me and my husband are extremely pleased with Poppies Day Nursery Old Windsor. We have had both our children (youngest still there) at Poppies from about 6 months old. The team is amazing and feels like a second home for my kids, they love going and talk about the staff at home or do role play that they
are at nursery with the staff. Over the last 5 years, things have changed but this has never affected the kids and I feel that the staff goes more than the extra mile. Big well done to the full team!

We transferred into the Big Explorers room from another nursery at Easter. Since then, our daughter has come on leaps and bounds with her development and learning. She can't wait to go each day and chatters constantly about all the activities she has been up to. The staff have clearly worked hard to
help her settle in and have made sure to give her the time and attention she needed after an unsettling experience previously to enable her to thrive.

My self and my husband are extremely happy with Poppies Day Nursery. Our son settles in very quickly which is a great indicator of how lovely and attentive the staff are. We have noticed how much his development has come on since starting which shows he is having fun while learning important skills.
The staff always do a lovely handover so you know what your child has been up to each day. I would highly recommend them to friends and family.

My husband and I are extremely happy with Poppies and how the team care for our twin girls. Since they joined the baby nest at 12 months old the team have been fantastic. A lovely caring, nurturing and progressive nursery with lots of fantastic outdoor space and a balanced menu.

Our son only recently joined Poppies after moving to the area. We were really worried as he loved his old nursery but I can’t say enough good things about how welcoming they’ve been to him. He’s settled right in and is thriving. The level of professionalism and care all the staff take is exemplary and
he comes out laughing every evening. All the staff takes the time to give you a full day report as well as one you take home with you and they also have a great portal where they load up pictures and videos and encourage the parents to contribute. He seems to have learnt things every day he comes home and always has a painting or some form of crafts with him.

My daughter has been at Poppies for the past 1and a half years and loves every day there! She is excited to go in each morning and looks like she is having fun when collected at the end of the day.
The staff are fantastic, they really supported my daughter (and wife!) when she started in the Baby Nest
and have made the transition from each room as smooth as possible. They keep us well informed of her development and what she has done during the day, making us feel we aren't missing out when she isn't with us.
I would not hesitate in recommending Poppies to other families.

My son is leaving Poppies after two wonderful years there. He started at 11 months old and has been in baby nest, little explorers and big explorers. All the staff are caring and have taken the time to get to know my son's needs. They offer a wide variety of activities as well as providing three nutritional
meals a day. My son has loved his time at Poppies and we are in no doubt it has prepared him well for when he starts preschool next term.

My daughter started Poppies 3 months ago, we were a little worried with how she would settle but the staff made the whole process run smoothly and always put my child first. They were welcoming and wanted to find out everything about her to support her through her journey. This was very reassuring.
She settled very well and surprised us with going straight in and not even looking back! She has built strong relationships with the staff, they provide lots of care, attention and fun for the children which can be seen when collecting my daughter. The space available is great for the children to play and learn, especially the garden area. The food provided is proving a hit with my daughter who eats well! The cook was attentive and asked questions to ensure her dietary requirements were met. Overall we are very pleased with the Nursery and look forward to watching our daughter grow and develop.

A friendly, caring atmosphere. All staff understand the needs of the children. What my children learnt there, at times has been much more advanced than we had anticipated. My little boy learnt Spanish. The bonds my children had with the staff was amazing. Thank you to all.

My son went to Poppies when he was 2 years old. He cried when I left him but he was rather happy when I picked him up, so I am sure the team members were very nice to him and they have enough experience with children.


We are Chinese and we speak Cantonese at home. For this reason, my son knew

little English at the beginning. But after 3 months, he could speak big sentences. After one year, his English is catching up with his friends at his age! He got more and more confidence and he made friends in the nursery. He began to be happier and happier and had no tears when I leave. Even because he is old enough to the second school, he still asking me when he can go back to this nursery! He misses his teachers and his friends maybe because he has an unforgettable memory.


We recommend this nursery for you because all the staff are so nice and the environment is tidy and clean.

My son started at Poppies Old Windsor in the Baby Nest at the start of January and has now been there for 2 months. Unfortunately we are moving out of the area, however, I wanted to express how fantastic the staff and facilities have been for the duration. I felt completely comfortable and reassured
that my son was safe and happy from day 1 and the team gave me regular updates on how he was getting on when I phoned each day. The range of activities keeps the babies entertained all day and the level of care is at an extremely high standard.
If we weren't moving out of the area I would be more than happy to leave my son at Poppies with the fantastic team they have. We will be very sad to leave!

We have two children at Poppies nursery in Old Windsor. All of the staff are friendly and welcoming, and they go out of their way to ensure your children are happy at the nursery.
They take a real personal interest in each individual child and actively work with you as a parent on any issues or concerns
you may have about any aspect of your child's development.
I would not hesitate to recommend Poppies to any parent looking into childcare options - they have a fantastic setup and are constantly looking to improve by taking on feedback from parents, children and staff alike.
Most importantly to me - our children are extremely happy at Poppies - they constantly talk about the staff, the children and love going in every day. This is a testament to the atmosphere the team have developed at the nursery - they should be extremely proud.

Fantastic nursery and would highly recommend.


My son has been at Poppies for nearly a year and loves it. All the staff are really friendly and welcoming and know all the children by name. They are really good at catering for the individual needs of a child- as my son is quite shy at first, he needs

lots of patience and comfort to come out of his shell. I have noticed such a change in his confidence and its lovely to see.


The daily activities are great and varied. It allows the children to discover new skills and interests. The nursery is always a lovely, clean, bright environment and very inviting- we couldn't ask for more. I also really love the detailed feedback every day from the staff of what he has been up to. Returning to work isn't easy but it is made much better when you know your child is happy and in safe hands.


I couldn't recommend Poppies enough!

Amazing nursery with amazing and very caring staff and management team. My son loves going to nursery and loves the carers and has made so many friends at a very young age.
The outdoor spaces are very very generous and the variety of activities provided to children is great.

Absolutely perfect in every way and as a father, I couldn't be happier with it.
- Staff are friendly and know every child by name.
- Staff are young, energetic and clearly love being with the kids.
- Activities exceed expectations with, playing in puddles, playing with a guest puppy, cooking, 'melody
music' and more.
- A bright, colourful warm building that makes me reluctant to brave the cold to go home
- Excellent healthy food, drinks and refreshments
- Sincere updates from the staff each day about what my daughter's been doing
Rather than feel guilty that I'm abandoning my daughter every morning, instead I feel glad that she's going to have an incredible day.

Hi, my name is Komal.


I have been working in the childcare industry for 19 years.


My interest in teaching and education started from my Year 10 work experience week, which then led me to pursue a qualification in childcare at college.


After qualifying, I started my first job as a Nursery Nurse, and soon after, I was given various opportunities to work my way up the ladder to become a Room Leader, Deputy Manager and then, Nursery Manager.


Working in Early Years has always been a huge passion of mine, and I take great pleasure in seeing children flourish and become resilient little learners.


I am dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. I love working closely with families to ensure consistency in the child’s development and enhancing their overall well-being.


I enjoy leading an enthusiastic team to ensure we provide all our children with high-quality experiences and opportunities that enable them to flourish and give them the best start in life.
