I have been super impressed with the Old Windsor day nursery since my little boy started there in 2017 at 8 months old, he is now at school and attended the nursery for 4 years the staff really helped him settle into the nursery quickly and the change that me and my partner saw in him was amazing! He
became more sociable and you could definitely notice a massive change in his development. He was also so happy going into the nursery in the mornings. The staff are so friendly and really do support you and guide you. I also have a 2-year-old daughter who attends the nursery and me and my partner were both very anxious when she started as we were still in lockdown. We were unsure how she would be but she really impressed us and took to the staff so quickly and settled in well. She has come on so well in the last year with her speech and has not long moved rooms and the staff were amazing with the transition and the communication is excellent from all the staff We are happy that we chose this nursery.

This is hands down the best nursery in the area. The staff are all fantastic and have a natural flair with all the babies and children. I removed my son from another nursery and can say this is worlds apart. All the staff work tirelessly to ensure excellent care is given to not only the children but
also parents. No question is too big or small and they go above and beyond on a daily basis. My son has been attending since he was a baby and happily skips into the nursery now. He has learnt so much from being there and his speech and communication skills have come on so well. Thank you Old Windsor Team!

The staff are so friendly, helpful and supportive to the children and parents. They give the children fun filled days and have great resources for learning. Both my children have flourished in this nursery. A home from home with all their friends.

We are really pleased with The Old Windsor Day Nursery. Our little one has been there for over a year now, started in Baby Nest and is now in Little Explorers. She absolutely loves it there and all of the staff. They have been so wonderful. She was diagnosed with a hearing impairment last year and the
provision they put in place immediately was very good. Her hearing teacher was also impressed with the language-rich environment.

I am so pleased we found this nursery for our daughter. With the take over from Family First this hasn’t changed a thing with the care and education that my daughter receives. In fact, it has come for the better as the nursery has a new ICT hub and lots of new toys. The staff are all so caring and my
daughter comes home learning lots of things! We have recommended friends that are also joining soon.

Our one-year-old started at The Old Windsor Day Nursery and Pre-School in January this year and he has settled in really well! He is really happy to go in every morning and happy when he comes out. The staff have been brilliant with him and are always helpful with any questions we have. They seem to
do lots of different activities and keep the kids really busy! We’ve noticed a real difference in our son’s eating - he’s so much more confident with different types of food! Would definitely recommend it.

My little girl started at The Old Windsor Day Nursery almost a month ago in the baby nest group. I must say the transition has been incredibly smooth and I really take my hat off to the staff as playing a critical role in making the experience what it’s been so far. The staff are confident and so natural
with the babies that it really puts you at ease. Their approach is personalised as they make efforts to understand your baby’s individual needs which for me was really important. I’ve loved receiving the daily summaries and updates via the app which give me sparks of joy and also makes me feel like we’re working well as a team. Thank you and well done to the Old Windsor Day Nursery team!

The Old Windsor nursery is a fantastic enviroment for children to grow and learn. My little one has been there for nearly 3 years and absolutely loves it. His transition throughout nursery has been easy and he has grown and learnt so much whilst being there. I was amazed when he came home telling me
all the planets he had been learning all about, something I wasn't expecting him to be learning about but amazed at the knowledge he had retained and enjoyment he had learning about it. He gets on so well with all of the staff and his friends in his room. If there is ever a concern the team are really approachable and deal with it very quickly. In particular, potty training took us a while to get through but they were all really patient despite multiple accidents. They even used his sticker reward chart I had created. Overall, the nursery is a really loving and caring environment which is exactly where you want you child to be.

We transferred to this nursery under a year ago after some issues at our previous site. The staff are wonderful and care for all the children in their care. Our daughter absolutely loves everyone and everything about it.

I cannot speak highly enough of Poppies Day Nursery Old Windsor.
The team have been so wonderful and welcoming. Each member of staff we have met has always taken the time to answer any questions or concerns we may have.
Our son is happy to go in and happy when he comes out and I'm not sure we could
ask for much else. At any time we feel we can approach the staff and they will help in any way they can.
Our son has been hit and miss with food lately and all the staff have been so reassuring and the wonderful onsite chef has made extra provisions to ensure he is fed.
We are very grateful to have found this gem of a nursery.

Poppies Day Nursery Old Windsor is an amazing nursery. I had my girls there for 5 years. I always felt that I could go to work and focus on my job, knowing that they were cared for and happy. Never had any problem or worries. They always had a great time, always came home happy to be with their teachers
and friends. We have only just left Poppies as my daughter started school. My daughter still asks to go back to nursery.

Our son has been attending Poppies Old Windsor since July 2020 and he absolutely loves it. Daily activities are so varied, the team provide an online log of what he's being doing so we can see. The team are always so friendly and supportive of any questions we may have.

Our Daughter started in September when I went back to work after maternity leave. She has loved nursery so far which has given me the peace of mind to go back to work knowing that she is having an amazing time.

I can’t speak highly enough about Poppies. From my daughter starting during the pandemic, she has been in the best of hands. The staff are friendly and caring, and we love the communication via their new app, as well as lots of artwork to take home. I have absolutely no concerns about her safety or
stimulation there, with themed activities and weeks. I also love that they always do garden time. The food always smells delicious, and with the recent new owners, changes made seem to be super positive with new equipment. She skips off to nursery in the morning and absolutely loves it. I feel so confident in it being the best place for her while we are at work.

Great staff. Always friendly and attentive towards the children. Never had any issues and would highly recommend it. Only hesitancy is that since the menu change, the food choice has become more varied and sometimes means that our child comes home and has to have a further meal due to the fact they
haven't eaten much in-house.

Our son has attended Poppies in Old Windsor since he was 1 years old and he has thoroughly enjoyed his time there. He has built up a strong relationship with the other children and the nursery staff. He feels safe and happy there which is extremely important.

My daughter has attended Poppies in Old Windsor for 2.5 years, I'm writing this review as she nears the end of her journey at nursery, next stop school. Poppies have consistently provided an outstanding level of care for her.
She has absolutely loved attending the nursery, and that is down to the excellent
staff, every one of them are stars, one particular team member was wonderful and my daughter adored her in the Little room, and the girls in the preschool team do a fabulous job preparing the children for school.
The outside space was a huge draw for me when choosing a nursery, and Poppies is wonderful.
My daughter is a vegetarian and the excellent chefs have always catered for her.
Thank you team for all you have done for my daughter, we will miss you.

My child is about to leave Poppies at school age, she’s been here almost full time since 10 months old. This place has been a wonderful second home to her. Can’t recommend it enough. Going to miss all the familiar faces of caring staff.

Our daughter has very much enjoyed her time at Poppies Day Nursery Old Windsor. The team is friendly and we have no doubts or concerns about leaving her with them for the day. The feedback we receive is detailed and useful. Her development in many areas has definitely been a result of attending Poppies.

Hi, my name is Komal.


I have been working in the childcare industry for 19 years.


My interest in teaching and education started from my Year 10 work experience week, which then led me to pursue a qualification in childcare at college.


After qualifying, I started my first job as a Nursery Nurse, and soon after, I was given various opportunities to work my way up the ladder to become a Room Leader, Deputy Manager and then, Nursery Manager.


Working in Early Years has always been a huge passion of mine, and I take great pleasure in seeing children flourish and become resilient little learners.


I am dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. I love working closely with families to ensure consistency in the child’s development and enhancing their overall well-being.


I enjoy leading an enthusiastic team to ensure we provide all our children with high-quality experiences and opportunities that enable them to flourish and give them the best start in life.
