In a caring and loving environment, children experience a wide range of learning initiatives, including messy and sensory play, with a strong focus on interacting with the outside world. The approach is to closely respond to children's interests, which has seen the arrival of a full size fork lift truck as part of a construction project, and the teaching of pizza making and basic Italian lessons as part of a multi-cultural project.
The passionate, experienced and caring team provides a safe and loving environment for children aged three months to five years. There are three rooms - under two's, toddlers and preschool. The nursery is open from 7.30am to 6.30pm for 51 weeks of the year, offering full day and half day sessions (7.30-1 or 1-6.30)
CCTV is installed in all rooms and operate a biometric finger print entry system, ensuring the safety of the children. The nursery offers two home-cooked hot meals each day.

We are extremely pleased with Banana Moon. All the staff manage a lovely balance of being very personable whilst remaining professional. We are very happy our son is in good hands. The organisation and management are exemplary.

My daughter and son have both been to/ currently attend Harbury Banana Moon and I would and have recommended it to others. The nursery is always clean and toys are well looked after. The outside space is well equipped and has a covered area so that children can have some shade from the sun or cover from the rain. The team are always welcoming and enthusiastic and ensure my son is welcomed into the fold every morning - especially on those occasions when he isn't quite so happy to be left. He is always happy when I collect him which reassures me he's had a great day and the feedback from his key worker on what he's done, eaten, slept etc. is always thorough. I'm particularly impressed that the children receive two hot, home cooked meals each day. The nursery owner is always keen for parent feedback and more importantly acts on that given. A very good value and well run nursery.

Brilliant nursery that has allowed our two boys to thrive, they love it. The staff are so friendly and helpful and make us all feel very welcome.
Outdoor space is limited but they don't shy away from visiting the local park or other facilities.

My daughter is extremely happy at Banana Moon, Harbury and her development has come on leaps and bounds since starting. The communication is excellent, the staff are very caring, the food is yummy and the facilities are brilliant!

This is an excellent nursery. My child enjoys the time spent at the preschool! All the children well behave. The staff prepares a lot of different activities everyday and the children never get bored. I feel my child is really ready to go to school thanks to the nursery. The staff pays attention to the abilities and interest of each child and prepares an individual development plan for each one of them. The food is fresh and cooked by them. The toys are all new including board games and role area prepared by the children (including the writing!). The children get involved in a lot of group activities indoor and outdoor. Every week is different from the previous. I really recommend this nursery.

One of my sons is currently at Banana Moon and the other was there until starting school last September. Both started at the nursery within a month of it opening. This was a very frightening leap of faith for us. We moved our eldest from a different nursery, where he was happy, so that he would be in our village and make friends he would go to school with. For our youngest this was his first experience away from home. I am delighted, and enormously relieved, to say that we haven't had any regrets. The team at Banana Moon are fantastic and the atmosphere they create is welcoming, nurturing, fun and safe.
Both of our boys have been happy to be left at Banana Moon on a morning and are happy, and usually engrossed in a task or game, when we return. They talk about the staff as much as they talk about their friends, and have formed really great bonds. There is always a great variety of activities, healthy meals and plenty of time spent running around and exploring outdoors. The nursery has also made an effort to be involved in the village, for example getting the kids in the carnival parade. They also prepare the older children for school really well.
Despite our best efforts to be entertaining our eldest often complained that 'Nana Moon' wasn't open at the weekend! Now that is a good endorsement :)

I had a huge problem, trying to find a nursery in Warwickshire, which offered long hours, home made meals and high security. Harbury has all of these requirements, in addition they do not serve processed foods. Initially the nursery did a few settling in sessions, my daughter could not wait to start, she now asks to go in at weekends, as she is so happy at this nursery. Always welcomed by staff, my daughter is clearly comfortable in approaching the staff with any needs, she loves the meals; and there is always a selection of activities each day, including outdoor activities. Her speech, manners and organisational skills have improved immensely, since starting nursery.
On collection, I am given a breakdown of activities, food, nappy changes, nap time and any concerns. There is always a senior member of staff/management on shift, regular news letters and diary of events are e-mailed. I feel very reassured leaving her in there care; my daughter has attended 'Banana Moon Harbury', for approximately six months.

Absolute gems at Banana Moon, recently moved to this nursery and she is ever so happy. We are very pleased with her transition to Banana Moon as we were anxious she would not settle after being at her other nursery for so long. No tears and loves going in the morning with lots of smiles and that is a fantastic reflection of the girls hard work and caring nature and patience. Lovely atmosphere very welcoming and staff very approachable. Happy parents, even happier toddler xx

The first thing for you to know is that I am a mum to two young children; a daughter, Millie and a son, Ted.
As a parent, having already researched an awful lot of nurseries for my daughter, and found one that I loved (the very first Banana Moon!) I had a firm idea of what I was looking to achieve when I opened my own nursery. I wanted a loving, caring, educational and fun environment for children, and importantly, a nursery that was at the heart of its community.
I spent over a year looking for the right space for the nursery, and was thrilled when I secured this building. I was lucky to be able to approach the design with a blank sheet of paper, meaning every element of the nursery has been thought through by me, from a parent's point of view, and the children. The physics of the nursery structure are only part of the story, however. For me, far more important is striking the right atmosphere; one of love and inspiration.
With the emphasis at Banana Moon to see everything from a child’s point of view, every stage of your child’s development, quality of care and learning will be to the highest standards. It is with this in mind that I have recruited an extremely experienced and well-qualified team, all of whom are extremely passionate about working with children.
I well remember the emotional rollercoaster that I went through when I first looked for a nursery for my daughter. Everything I do at the nursery is in light of my experience as a parent, and most importantly, the nursery has to be of the highest standard that I am happy enough for both of my children to attend.

My curiosity about childcare as a career first started when I dropped my son off for his first settling-in session at nursery when he was 10 months old. When I picked him up an hour later, I was relieved to see that he was happy and content, sitting with a practitioner who was singing to a small group of children.
When I left the setting, I thought to myself Wow, what a fun and rewarding way to spend the day. Several days later, I applied for a nursery assistant rol,e and the rest is history.
I shall never forget the warmth and care received, not only to my son but to myself, during those early days of nursery.
That was over 20 years ago, and during that time, I have progressed from a nursery assistant to manager.
My role within the setting is to ensure that all children receive the best possible care by providing them with a safe, positive and nurturing environment to help them grow and flourish.
Learning through play is our focus; the team tailor individual learning based on children’s current interests and their understanding of the world around them.
The team are warm, friendly and dedicated to providing the best care they can from the first settling-in session to preparing them for school and beyond.
Communication is key, especially in those early days of nursery, which is why we value your contributions and feedback to help us provide the best outcomes for your child.
