We have been very happy with our child's first few weeks at Shooting Stars. The staff have gone above and beyond to ensure that my child is settled and that we, as parents, are fully reassured before I return to work after maternity leave. My child is nurtured and supported according to his daily needs.
The staff are welcoming and supportive, and the whole atmosphere is friendly and inclusive.

I cannot express the professionalism, care, and relief that this nursery provides my son, myself and my husband. The staff are incredibly attentive to all children and their needs; the daily logs are packed full of detail about their activities and development. We cannot be happier with the service
my son receives as well as the excitement on my son's face when on the way to nursery. Would recommend them to anyone.

My daughter is very happy at Shooting Stars, and that is because of the brilliant staff who work there. Staff are always kind and friendly and have created lovely bonds with my child, which has made her feel more confident and secure about going to nursery. I know my daughter is well looked after and
safe; communication from her key worker is fantastic - I'm updated with photos, information and progress/next steps via the app as well as always having an informal chat when I collect. Staff work hard to provide a wide range of developmental activities for all children - including lots of outdoor and child-led play.
I would recommend Shooting Stars to anyone!

My daughter has been at Shooting Stars for almost twelve months, starting in the Baby Room before moving up to Pre Toddlers. The whole team have been excellent in terms of her day-to-day care and she is always excited to attend. She has a great bond with her key workers especially, which is lovely to
see. The nursery provides a wide variety of developmental activities and shares regular pictures and daily updates with me via their app. It also has the best outdoor space of any of the nurseries we viewed, with two good sizes of garden areas for play.

My son started Shootings Stars in September 2022 at 10 months old. He settled lovely into the baby room and quickly adapted to nursery life thanks to two staff members. He soon became very active and had a smooth transition into the Pre Toddler room. Once again gained strong bonds with his key worker
and the girls in the room. He loves coming to nursery and it’s amazing how much he has developed since starting with shooting stars. When collecting my son from nursery I am always very welcomed and receive good communication about my son's day.

My little boy has been at this nursery for just over two years, and I am so grateful to the staff for the care and attention given to him. He has developed into a wonderful toddler, which is in no small part down to the quality of care from the staff at Shooting Stars Wolverhampton. I have nothing but
positive words to say, as do many of the other parents whose children attend. The role of caring for children is beyond challenging, but every single member of staff here that I have encountered makes it seem a breeze! I think every staff member deserves recognition. My son's start to nursery has been challenging as he hadn't settled easily, but every time I called to check, he was ok, (which was a lot), the staff are always understanding and reassuring. Whenever I come to pick him up, I love hearing about how well
he has done, and I especially appreciate all the advice I get from you all, including on potty training! I am so happy I chose Shooting Stars for my little one, and it’s the staff that make it feel like such a great place for children (and stressed parents like me). His key worker goes above and beyond to make a big deal of his achievements, and he talks about her all the time.

This nursery is a wonderful place for our 21-month-old twin boys to develop. They spend time delivering new experiences, which we wouldn’t maybe be able to as full-time working parents. The boys are happily dropped off at the nursery, which is helped by how friendly, engaging and interactive the staff

We loved the nursery and waited a few months until she could join as there was a waiting list, but it was so worth the wait. I knew it was perfect on our tour as it is a new purpose-built nursery with lovely, clean facilities. My daughter settled in very quickly as the staff were all so welcoming and

The next few months will be my child's last at the nursery, after starting back in 2017 at the tender age of 9-months. Overall, I have been extremely happy with the care provided to her. She has progressed significantly socially, emotionally and intellectually, and has thoroughly enjoyed her time at
the nursery! Not one single day since she started, have I had to leave her there crying because she doesn’t want me to leave or doesn’t want to stay there, and not once has she said that she doesn’t want to attend. My son has been in the baby room right up to preschool now and the care and support showed by everyone at Shooting Stars Wolverhampton is next to none. Covid-19 struck all families hard and I was full of anxiety at how my son would settle back into the nursery after being off for so many months, but
the staff there made the transition back into nursery so seamless for him. All necessary safety measures are in full effect and I feel confident my son is learning in a safe clean environment. The management is so friendly and approachable at all times, hats off to a fantastic team. Thank you for making my son's early years education journey so fabulous, I can't wait for my daughter to begin her journey there next year!

Stephanie Dickinson

Job Title: Area Manager Joined: 2022

Steph joined Shooting Stars in 2022, bringing with her over a decade of experience in the Early Years sector. Her journey began in 2008 as an apprentice, and she has since progressed through a wide range of roles, including practitioner, room leader, deputy manager, nursery manager, senior manager, and now area manager. Steph has held leadership positions in Early Years management since 2011, consistently demonstrating a strong focus on quality improvement, staff development, and inspirational leadership.


She is particularly passionate about musicality and supporting strong language development in young children, and she enjoys embedding music and rhythm into daily routines to enhance communication and engagement. Steph also has a keen interest in designing stimulating and inspiring learning environments that nurture curiosity and creativity.


In her current role as area manager, Steph is committed to empowering staff to develop their own individual and visionary leadership skills. She believes in fostering a culture of reflective practice, collaboration, and continuous growth across all settings she supports.


Outside of work, Steph enjoys walking, spending time with family and friends, and making the most of holidays—whether relaxing or exploring new destinations.

Kully Dhillon

Job Title: Strategic Development Manager Joined: 2014

Kully began her journey with Shooting Stars Nurseries in September 2014 as the Nursery Manager of the newly opened Wolverhampton setting. In 2022, she progressed into a strategic role, joining the Area Management Team as a Strategic Development Manager.


Her career in childcare began as a Level 2 Apprentice, followed by the completion of her Level 3 qualification. Since 2004, Kully has held a variety of leadership roles, including Room Leader in both Pre-School and Under 2’s, Deputy Manager, and Nursery Manager—spending 16 of those years in management. These experiences have shaped her deep understanding of early years education and operational leadership.


Kully is particularly passionate about the development of children under two, with a strong focus on building secure attachments and nurturing environments that support emotional well-being and early development. She also brings extensive expertise in Health & Safety, SEND, and Safeguarding, which are central to her practice and leadership.


A key focus of Kully’s role is supporting the growth of the early years workforce. She is committed to empowering staff through continuous professional development, helping them build confidence and fulfilment in their roles. Wellbeing is at the heart of her approach—she strives to foster a positive, supportive workplace for teams and a safe, inspiring space for children.


At Shooting Stars Nurseries, Kully plays a vital role in welcoming new team members through New Employee Workshops and mentoring apprentices throughout their training journey, helping shape the next generation of early years professionals.


Outside of work, Kully enjoys spending quality time with her family and attending football matches as a proud supporter of her local club. She also loves exploring new cities, dining out, and meeting new people.
