Shooting stars have been wonderful from our first visit to helping our little girl settle in to baby room, including aiding us with additional settling in sessions to helping her transition to pre toddlers. Staff are understanding or parent needs in addition to child needs. My little girl is excited
to go in in the morning and you can see how comfortable she feels with the staff. She enjoys all of the activities available, having the selection of books, and also loves the outdoor time. The menu is also varied and our little girl enjoys most if not all of the offerings. Can't thank all at shooting stars for being so welcoming, helpful and kind.

I cannot recommend Shooting Stars enough. As a first-time Mom and someone who works in Early Years Education, I was anxious about leaving my little boy. I felt so at ease when visiting Shooting Stars and my little one bonded with the staff immediately. His key worker was incredible in getting him settled
into nursery life, all of the staff have been so friendly and caring. He's had so many experiences since starting; seeing animals at nursery, the farm on wheels, Christmas parties and a visit from Father Christmas. He loves being outdoors and the gardens at the nursery have a way of making you forget you're in the city. But most importantly, he's happy! I would highly recommend Shooting Stars to all families who are starting their children in the nursery. I couldn't think of a better nursery to have sent my child to! My daughter absolutely loved going to nursery every Monday and Friday. She met the most amazing and friendliest teachers and friends.

This nursery is amazing! My son joined the pre-toddler room in September 2023 and the staff were very supportive in helping him to settle. The cuddles and smiling faces put him at ease. The activities helped him to gain confidence. He then joined the toddler room in April 2024. I saw a big change in
him. The amazing staff once again were brilliant at helping him to settle in. The warm welcome and the kindness they show has enabled my son to enjoy his day at nursery. The staff are helping him with potty training and as a result he is doing well with that at home too! His communication is brilliant and he is able to tell me all the exciting things he has done such as playing with the sand, painting and he loves the beautiful gardens. Our little girl has recently started attending this nursery and we have been so happy with the care and experience we have received so far. My daughter has been attending shooting starts for 2 months now. From the initial tour to settling sessions with the pre-toddler team has been exceptional! It's very reassuring to know my daughter is being left in the care of some amazing individuals who always go the extra mile for each individual
child.
My daughter had found it difficult to settle in due to being a covid baby however my daughter's key person and room leader both went above and beyond to ensure my daughter settled by providing settling sessions alongside her normal nursery days. From statring to have lunch and breakfast in a new environment surrounded by new people can be daunting for any child however the team at Shooting Stars work their magic in a number of ways to suit the child's needs. I could go on much longer but can't say enough about this nursery and the staff! If you are looking to send your child to nursery look no further!

Shooting Stars and all the staff involved are absolutely fantastic. They provide a safe, warm, loving environment for the children in their care, and staff take the time to build bonds with the children they look after. They provide a wide range of exciting and developmental activities for the children
and fresh home-cooked food every day. Staff are always on hand to help and answer queries. I couldn't recommend this nursery enough. It's been an absolute blessing having my child taken care of to such a high standard, allowing me to focus on my career.

We have had a fantastic experience since my little one started in February. The staff are incredible at settling the babies in, and as a parent, they’ve really made my experience easier leaving her very reassuring, and it’s made me feel much better about her being in the nursery for two days. The nursery
does a great range of activities with my daughter, and she really has settled even more over the last few weeks and is really enjoying all the activities, and she adores her key worker.

We returned to Shooting Stars with our daughter after a wonderful experience with our son.
Thanks to the amazing team in the baby room, our daughter settled in within a few weeks.
One lady, in particular, has been absolutely fantastic. She is so dedicated and works extremely hard to make sure the
children are happy and well cared for. Our daughter loves her!
It is also so lovely to see our daughter engaging in the various structured activities set up within the nursery and the garden, including lots of painting and messy play. This has made returning to work for me so much easier.
Quite simply, I know our daughter is in good hands!

Shooting Stars Nursery and its staff are amazing in every way. The nursery is warm, welcoming, and always full of the sound of children having the best time. The staff are like family, they always go above and beyond and know the children so well, they reassure and comfort parents whenever required.
The cameras to look in are so reassuring and you regularly get updates and pictures of your child having fun. I could not recommend them enough.

The premises are clean, staff are very welcoming. My child thoroughly enjoys coming to nursery and enjoys the various activities throughout the day and regularly passes positive comments on the meals. I receive regular updates of observations of my child, including pictures and recently also small video
clips.
At one point due to low staff, I did feel that there was a lack of efficiency. However, if I compare last year to now, I would only say that this has majorly improved and my child is very happy here.

Stephanie Dickinson

Steph joined Shooting Stars in 2022, bringing with her over a decade of experience in the Early Years sector. Her journey began in 2008 as an apprentice, and she has since progressed through a wide range of roles, including practitioner, room leader, deputy manager, nursery manager, senior manager, and now area manager. Steph has held leadership positions in Early Years management since 2011, consistently demonstrating a strong focus on quality improvement, staff development, and inspirational leadership.


She is particularly passionate about musicality and supporting strong language development in young children, and she enjoys embedding music and rhythm into daily routines to enhance communication and engagement. Steph also has a keen interest in designing stimulating and inspiring learning environments that nurture curiosity and creativity.


In her current role as area manager, Steph is committed to empowering staff to develop their own individual and visionary leadership skills. She believes in fostering a culture of reflective practice, collaboration, and continuous growth across all settings she supports.


Outside of work, Steph enjoys walking, spending time with family and friends, and making the most of holidays—whether relaxing or exploring new destinations.

Kully began her journey with Shooting Stars Nurseries in September 2014 as the Nursery Manager of the newly opened Wolverhampton setting. In 2022, she progressed into a strategic role, joining the Area Management Team as a Strategic Development Manager.


Her career in childcare began as a Level 2 Apprentice, followed by the completion of her Level 3 qualification. Since 2004, Kully has held a variety of leadership roles, including Room Leader in both Pre-School and Under 2’s, Deputy Manager, and Nursery Manager—spending 16 of those years in management. These experiences have shaped her deep understanding of early years education and operational leadership.


Kully is particularly passionate about the development of children under two, with a strong focus on building secure attachments and nurturing environments that support emotional well-being and early development. She also brings extensive expertise in Health & Safety, SEND, and Safeguarding, which are central to her practice and leadership.


A key focus of Kully’s role is supporting the growth of the early years workforce. She is committed to empowering staff through continuous professional development, helping them build confidence and fulfilment in their roles. Wellbeing is at the heart of her approach—she strives to foster a positive, supportive workplace for teams and a safe, inspiring space for children.


At Shooting Stars Nurseries, Kully plays a vital role in welcoming new team members through New Employee Workshops and mentoring apprentices throughout their training journey, helping shape the next generation of early years professionals.


Outside of work, Kully enjoys spending quality time with her family and attending football matches as a proud supporter of her local club. She also loves exploring new cities, dining out, and meeting new people.
