Our 10 month old baby has been at Gingerbread for two weeks now and is settling in so well. She is really excited every morning as we get to the nursery and laughs and jumps when she sees the staff and the other children outside. It’s such a joy to know that she is having a great time and learning lots
of new things! Thanks so much to everyone at the nursery for taking such good care of her! Wonderful place and wonderful people working there!

My son has attended Gingerbread for around two years now and is in the preschool room and my daughter has attended for about a year and is in the toddler room. They are both very happy at the nursery and enjoy their days there. They are both very fond of all the staff and talk happily about what they
have been up to during the day. Since lockdown lifted, the daily updates have been moved to the parents' app and it’s great to see pictures and read about what they have been up to. I would recommend this nursery.

Our son has been so happy at Gingerbread House and he has progressed so well in his development. The staff are great and it's so reassuring when he runs in with a smile on his face. We love hearing about the fun day he's had with his friends when we collect him. Highly recommend to anyone looking for
a nursery.

My daughter has been attending this nursery since February 2020 and she loves it. The staff is genuinely caring and lovely. They care for my child as if she was their own and always go out of their way to keep her happy and entertained. My daughter looks forward to going to the nursery every morning
as she knows she'll have a great time playing with her friends. I want to say thank you to the staff and his key worker in particular for taking such good care of my little one. I recommend Gingerbread Nursery for peace of mind that your baby will be very well looked after and have loads of fun.

Our daughter currently goes to Gingerbread House, and our son went before he started school. We have been very lucky to find such a great nursery nearby, the staff are always friendly and, most importantly, they provide a safe environment for our children.
The nursery went through a change of ownership
a couple of years ago but luckily the ethos, and positive aspects, haven't changed.
I would definitely recommend Gingerbread House.

My son started this nursery last year and throughout this whole time, I am extremely happy with the overall service the staff provide. They are very helpful, friendly, professional and willing to go that extra mile to satisfy my son's needs. I feel so comfortable and reassured every time I drop my son
off. The daily feedback I receive is excellent as they provide details on his day. I am very happy and pleased with this nursery and will definitely recommend to family and friends.

My son has been at the nursery for almost a year and absolutely loves it. He has formed a strong bond with his key worker and we feel she really cares for him, noting observations on him from throughout the day for us and sharing in our excitement as he develops and learns. The staff really do show
care for the children’s and almost all seem to know him by name, even if they’re not in his specific age room. The nursery has given support at critical times, such as moving to solid foods and as he is learning to speak, with his best interests in mind. I have noticed a marked improvement in the speed on tapestry updates and responses to emails over the past year, and I like the creative activities the nursery provides. Thank you for all your dedication!

My son has only recently started at the Gingerbread House but he has not stopped talking about it since his first settling in session. The staff have been incredibly helpful, flexible and communicative, particularly with his specific medical needs and we feel as though he is in very safe hands.
The
setting is well resourced and stimulating with sweet little nooks for calm and quiet moments too. He has quickly bonded with the adults he sees each day and speaks about them at home. The staff seem to promote independence and creativity which I love.
So far, we are really happy with the provision and we look forward to watching our son thrive.

My son has been attending this nursery for a year and a half now. The staff were supportive during a time when he had a dairy intolerance and since the nursery has been taken over by a new company I think the standard of care, stimulation and food quality has improved significantly. My son enjoys attending
and is happy there which is the most important thing.

My daughter recently just joined the nursery and we have tearful drop off's but the staff are great at calming her down and she goes off to play after a few minutes. They let me know if there are any problems and are always updating me with anything I need to know. When I come to collect her, I watch
the staff interacting with her before she notices me, which is nice to see. Its nice to see her observations online and what areas she is achieving in. Also, I can upload from home with things I notice. It's great that we can work together on her development.

My son attended from 10 months until he started school. Every key worker he had had a special connection with him and we really saw him develop into a fantastic individual whilst there. He learned a lot and received a lot of attention and care that made me feel at ease. Our daughter will be attending
when I return to work as well.

My daughter has been attending the nursery for over a year now and absolutely loves it. The staff in the baby and toddler room are fantastic and my daughter talks about them constantly and is always so pleased to see them in the morning. The nursery has been renovated recently and all of the toys have
been replaced with mainly wooden toys that stimulate their imagination. They keep the place clean and tidy and the children are very well cared for. The menus are good and my daughter eats well there. Overall we are very happy and would definitely recommend the nursery and the wonderful staff.

Our son has only just joined Gingerbread House, but it feels like he’s been there for years. Within a few days, he has transitioned from his old setting into Gingerbread with perfect ease and we put that down to the outstanding care given by staff. As a family, we prioritise being outdoors, the arts
and reading, which is why we chose Gingerbread and our son is definitely thriving every day on the Curiosity Approach. We couldn’t be happier with Gingerbread. Thank you!

My son loves going to the Gingerbread House and I think that speaks volumes about the nursery. He has formed a strong bond with his key workers and I can see he feels safe and fulfilled there. Given the state of his mucky clothes every day, it is clear to me he is also having fun! Both of my children
have attended the Gingerbread House. My eldest daughter left two years ago to start school, and again it was a very positive experience for her, my wife and I. My daughter has special needs and the nursery was more than accommodating to her additional needs. If you are looking for a nursery for your little one, I would recommend you book your visit.

My child has been at Gingerbread House since she was 9 months old. Now coming up to 3 years I am certain her social and communication skills wouldn't be as advanced as they are without the support and teachings of the staff here.

  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 17 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.848 for Partou Gingerbread House Day Nursery & Pre-school is calculated as follows: ( (176 Excellents x 5) + (25 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 204 Ratings = 4.848
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.925 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Partou Gingerbread House Day Nursery & Pre-school is based on 17 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.925
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 64 number of registered child places is 12.8, which has been reached with 17 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
