Partou Gingerbread House Day Nursery & Pre-school

I have been impressed with how the staff care for my child. The manager is very present and approachable. I feel there is a good range of activities for my child to do and wherever possible (weather permitting) they are encouraged to get outside to play.

My daughter has been going to Gingerbread House Nursery for over two years now. She’s very happy at the nursery and the staff are all very kind and attentive and she looks forward to going to nursery every day.

So yes, I recommend this nursery to other parents if you want a place where your kids can be happy, play, be creative and meet other lovely children.

Since our daughter began at Gingerbread House Day Nursery, she has absolutely flourished. The curiosity, child-led and 'learn through play' approach is just what she needs. Her key worker is fantastic, caring and supportive. There's always a homely feel inside the nursery and our daughter is just so happy there.

It’s always a pleasure speaking to and dealing with the team, both in the office and in the toddler room. Our son has settled in well and has built great relationships with the staff. I have recommended Gingerbread House Day Nursery to a number of other parents because we are so happy with everything.

Their ending the contract refund calculations are completely wrong and have no idea how to manage customer accounts properly. The building had several structural issues too, lovely but probably not maintained quite as it needs. I’m sure it used to be good but at the moment they are not doing great.

Gingerbread House is a lovely nursery, with very caring and trustworthy staff. My daughter always loved attending and always came home with a massive smile on her face. I love that the handover and observations were sent to me on a daily basis and was able to see pictures of my little girl having fun. The activities provided were also amazing with lots of messy play and learning.

Ever since our daughter has joined the nursery, she feels like she is at her 2nd home. The staff have got to know our daughter so well like she is part of the family. Our daughter settled in very easily and has recently moved into the toddler room, where she also transitioned really easily with the staff sharing all their knowledge of our daughter to the new room. I couldn't ask for a better place or people to look after our daughter. The manager is such a delight to communicate with and clearly has a strong passion for providing all the kids with the best experience at the nursery.

Excellent nursery, amazing staff, both of my children are happy, the activities in the pre school year are gearing towards my son starting primary school. My daughter's development and social skills are great and you would never be able to tell she’s a covid baby! I’m so grateful for all the staff and management together with the high standards!

Our daughter has attended the Gingerbread House Nursery for almost three years. It is a very welcoming and safe environment for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers with lots of stimulating toys, a nice outdoor space and friendly staff. She has been very happy there and is well looked after. The staff write thorough observations which are shared on an easy to use app and they do good handovers each day. You can tell they genuinely care for the children and our daughter always comes home saying she has had a great day. I would definitely recommend it.

My son has attended the nursery since May 2021. He suffers from separation anxiety so drop-offs are never easy. However difficult it is, the staff never fails to reassure him making him feel safe and welcome. They are also great at giving handovers and often give tips and suggestions on how to support my child's learning. I read lots of parents receive daily updates through the App. I don't, and I wish there were more pictures to document how his day is going (I typically receive two updates/month). All in all, this is a good nursery and I would definitely recommend it to others.

My grandsons are now in pre-school and love their days at the nursery. They have attended since they were two years old and will be going onto primary school in September. They have close relationships with the staff and both are developing social and learning skills. The staff provide a wide variety of creative as well as play-based activities. I warmly recommend Gingerbread House to any parent or grandparent looking for a safe nurturing environment for their little ones.

My daughter has attended the nursery since November 2020. She settled really quickly and now loves going to nursery. The management and staff are very good and friendly and they take care of my little one. They do a lot of different activities every day and they provide a detailed handover and pictures so it is easy for me to see what she has been doing and eating.

My son started in Pre-School in October and has settled in really quickly. He talks very positively about the staff and his new friends so I am confident that he is happy and very well looked after. I also love seeing the comments and photos on the app to see what he has been doing each day and what he has eaten. The staff always seem very caring and loving which is one of the things that attracted me to the nursery when I first came for a visit at collection time - seeing how positively the staff interacted with the children and the parents. I would definitely recommend this nursery to others.

Very pleased with the care that my daughter receives. Now that she has settled, she is very happy at Gingerbread House and loves going. She also enjoys the food there and has good varied meals and snacks.

Both my son and daughter have gone to the Gingerbread House and we are so happy with the experiences we've had. The staff are so warm and friendly and both kids have settled in no time at all. Things like potty training are dealt with minimal fuss and there is a very relaxed atmosphere which has put us totally at ease. There are clear boundaries but the kids love the staff and it seems like the feeling is mutual!

Our son joined Gingerbread at 9 months old, which we were very nervous about, with him being so young. However the team were very reassuring, sensitive and welcoming and our son has flourished developmentally since being there, having had a chunk of his first few months being at home during Covid lockdown. He adores his key worker, who we can tell also cares for our son – as do all the rest of the staff who are in regular contact with him throughout the day. We absolutely know he is in safe hands. The few times we have contacted the nursery to raise any concerns (e.g. sleep times) the team have responded immediately and responded to any requests swiftly. The team here really do care - and we would thoroughly recommend this nursery to any parent for their child.

My daughter started at Gingerbread House last year. She settled in really quickly and soon came to love the nursery and her carers. She has a great bond with them. They have helped her with her speech, toilet training and learning to write her name. I know she will always have a fun day at nursery and will be well looked after.
