Little Bugs Childcare offers full and part-time childcare for children between 0 and 12 years. They are conveniently situated just off the York outer ring road and open from 7.30am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.
They offer 30 hours free childcare and parents and carers are very welcome to visit anytime.

Every child is treated as a developing individual and provide the support, surroundings and encouragement for a happy and fulfilling childhood. They have a friendly team of qualified childcare professionals with high staff to child ratios, to enable the team to build close relationships with each child.
Children are encouraged to discover and learn through a mix of structured activities, group or individual projects and personal encouragement. They follow the Reggio approach to childcare, supporting a child’s natural curiosity through a wide range of experiences with lots of positive support from staff.
Set within the Web Adventure Park, a large indoor and outdoor family attraction, the children are able to access all the fantastic facilities. They have a vast array of exciting play spaces both indoors and out, and are proud to be a Forest School.
Children have on-site access to a dipping pond, generous and well equipped outdoor play areas and an orchard as well as exclusive use of the facilities at the Web Adventure Park each day before 9.30am. Their facilities enable them to offer a huge range of exciting and relaxing activities throughout the typical day, with two large independent nursery units with private outdoor gardens away from the park, the children have the best of both worlds!
They currently have availability in the baby, toddler and pre-school settings. Holiday care for 6 - 12 year olds is offered.

I really couldn't recommend Little Bugs more highly as a nurturing, fun and caring environment. My son has been going for nearly two years and still gets excited about his nursery days. The staff all have a genuine caring attitude to the children meaning that my sons first settling in weeks, which naturally could have been difficult were dealt with so well - both for my son and for myself. The home from home environment in the baby and toddler rooms is lovely and the access to creepy crawlies, the animals and lots of outside time results in a varied day.
Communication between nursery and home is brilliant and there are more options for flexibility of care compared to other nurseries. I have recommended to friends and will continue to do so.

My son has been attending the nursery's pre-school for 7 months now and we totally love it. The play and learning mentality they adopt really suits him and it was lovely coming to pick him up in the warmer months and see the children always outside exploring. The way they utilise creepy crawlies too is brilliant, giving the children opportunity to play inside while it's quiet, to see the animals and have extra play outside in the sand or on the bikes.
The food is also exceptional and my son will try things he never would at home! I am so happy with the progress my son is making and am hoping he will stay right up to starting school.

As someone who works on a self-employed basis I also find they are really flexible.
Any nerves I had about my little boy starting nursery have been unfounded as he is thoroughly enjoying his time there and his development is coming on leaps and bounds.

Little Bugs is a great nursery. My daughter has been going for a year. The facilities are fabulous. She gets to play outside as often as possible when the weather is nice, she sees the animals at Creepy Crawlies. Every time I drop her off she smiles and can't wait to get her coat off. The staff are all great, they show knowledge in the development and care of children but are also friendly, approachable and show genuine care and affection for the children.
