Little Bugs Childcare offers full and part-time childcare for children between 0 and 12 years. They are conveniently situated just off the York outer ring road and open from 7.30am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.
They offer 30 hours free childcare and parents and carers are very welcome to visit anytime.

Every child is treated as a developing individual and provide the support, surroundings and encouragement for a happy and fulfilling childhood. They have a friendly team of qualified childcare professionals with high staff to child ratios, to enable the team to build close relationships with each child.
Children are encouraged to discover and learn through a mix of structured activities, group or individual projects and personal encouragement. They follow the Reggio approach to childcare, supporting a child’s natural curiosity through a wide range of experiences with lots of positive support from staff.
Set within the Web Adventure Park, a large indoor and outdoor family attraction, the children are able to access all the fantastic facilities. They have a vast array of exciting play spaces both indoors and out, and are proud to be a Forest School.
Children have on-site access to a dipping pond, generous and well equipped outdoor play areas and an orchard as well as exclusive use of the facilities at the Web Adventure Park each day before 9.30am. Their facilities enable them to offer a huge range of exciting and relaxing activities throughout the typical day, with two large independent nursery units with private outdoor gardens away from the park, the children have the best of both worlds!
They currently have availability in the baby, toddler and pre-school settings. Holiday care for 6 - 12 year olds is offered.

The communication is excellent and we get regular updates of what he is doing during the day which are just a joy to read. From the very beginning, they've made our family feel so welcome, and over the years they've become so much more than just a nursery-they've become part of our family. The staff are incredible. Their passion, dedication, and genuine love for the children shine through every single day. They create such a warm, nurturing, and creative environment where children are encouraged to learn, explore, and thrive. It's clear that every child is truly valued and cared for as an individual. A special mention has to go to Jane, whose leadership is exceptional. She runs the nursery with such care, professionalism, and attention to detail, always ensuring everything is just right for the children. Her commitment to providing the very best environment is evident in everything the nursery does.

Little bugs nursery offers an amazingly varied experience for children. The staff are always kind, friendly and knowledgeable. They genuinely want the best for your child and offer invaluable support through times like toilet training. The children have fun activities but also educational and developmental. The nursery will have a focus such as a county, artists or celebratory day. They then build fun and learning around that. For instance when they learnt about France they learnt about the flag, the typical food, the county, they counted with money at a cafe. The children also benefit from playing at a local centre. They can develop physically in soft play and visit the animals regularly. They encouraged relationships and friendship across the different rooms in nursery. The meals are cooked onside and are healthy options covering all allergies.

My daughter started Little Bugs Childcare in January 2025 in babies, and from the beginning, we have had a fantastic experience. The staff are brilliant, so caring and professional, and have formed a wonderful relationship with our daughter. We have loved watching her grow and develop, and the staff have certainly played a huge part in this, and we couldn't be more thankful. All the extra activities they do and fun days they plan with them are so fun to see, and I really do 100% recommend this nursery to everyone and anyone! You are so well updated throughout the app, and we always have a good catchup on drop off and pick up. Can't thank the team at Little Bugs enough!

We've been with Little Bugs Childcare for three years now. Our eldest loved it so much that we enrolled our youngest too. The staff are truly wonderful-so caring, and they build genuine bonds with the children while supporting their development. Communication is great, both in person and through the app, which includes updates, pictures, and notes on how your child is learning and growing. The range of activities is fantastic, and it's great that the kids can enjoy the web before it opens to the public and during quieter times. I honestly couldn't recommend this nursery highly enough.

We simply love Little Bugs childcare. Our older daughter went there and we had such a great experience that we also enrolled our youngest one. The carers are really lovely to the kids and it is noticeable the connections they create - like family. They do a wide range of activities with the kids that are engaging and really promote the right development. There is also the advantage that the nursery uses the facilities of the park before it opens/when it is not busy - so the children can play on the slides/soft play (they became so much braver!) and also see the animals. We must say we gave only good things to share about Little Bugs!

Little Bugs has been an amazing place for both of my children. They are caring, nurturing and provide an excellent education to assist the children in moving to school. The staff are a pleasure to work with and they have genuine interest and care for the children. Communication is excellent and both of my children couldn't wait to attend each day.
