Fantastic nursery. Staff are amazing and really show that they care about each individual child. Would highly recommend. Everything from the meals to the indoor and outdoor activities is constantly engaging with children and is fun and exciting.
My daughter loves going to this nursery! The staff are very friendly, great communication throughout, and my daughter has an amazing time there. They do lots of activities, and I can tell she is learning so much.
I will rave about this nursery till the cows come home. The facilities are tremendous. Constant outdoor play including napping outdoors. Large forest area for nature time, use of outdoor and indoor space and well set up rooms. My two daughters are in different groups can play together (not in Covid times, unfortunately), and the staff put on such a variety of activities. From tending to the farm animals, messy play, sparklers on bonfire night, baking, the list goes on and on. They do more in a week here than my eldest did in a whole year at the previous nursery. The staff are wonderfully caring and engaging.
My children would rather be at nursery than at home! And my Year 2 daughter is still sad that she can no longer go. That to me says it all! One viewing of this nursery, and you’ll be sold, I was.
We first started our son at Little Bugs in July 2017 after being unhappy with his first childcare setting, and it wasn't long before we all began to love Little Bugs. Our first son has grown through the ranks and is now at primary school, we have no doubts that he settled so well due to the massive part the Little Bugs team played in preparing him! We have his younger brother in the toddler room, and he loves it just as much.
The whole set up is brilliant, with plenty of outdoor space! Our son loves being outside in the forest school and going to visit the animals. The children have free run of the adventure park on a morning before opening, which was a massive hit.
We couldn't recommend Little Bugs enough!
Little Bugs has been absolutely fantastic at looking after my little boy. The on-site facilities including the use of the activities park site, variety of activities and huge amounts of outdoor space are above anything I have seen elsewhere, and I can't imagine him going anywhere else. He first started coming at 10 months old and is now 2 and a half. There were a few tears at the beginning (mine and his!), but they did a great job of settling him in, and before I knew it, he was eating double or triple portions of their varied food menu. I also really like how they tailor the activities to match the children's interests, so they are more engaged. My son has unusual interests (pigs, activity park and numbers are his favourite things) but his carer finds creative ways to make activities that all the other kids will enjoy too. They are currently having weekly forest school days for no extra charge where they are outside all day which my son loves.
My son loves the nursery and the people so much he runs out with a smile on his face and runs in with a smile on his face (to the point I don’t even get a goodbye anymore) but that’s all I have ever wanted.
I cannot thank every single person at Little Bugs enough; what they do is amazing, and they have changed what they do to meet the new Covid19 guidelines, but not once have the children been affected by this.
Amazing setting for any child.
I wouldn't recommend Little Bugs nursery enough. It is a wonderful nursery with excellent staff. My daughter has been attending since she was 1.5 years old, and I have complete trust in the management and staff. They provide the most caring and loving environment. Thank you!
We’ve recently moved, but still, travel 40minutes each way just so we can keep our son here until he goes to school. Worth every minute!
Our son also had an emergency at nursery, a while ago, due to medical conditions he has and the way the team handled this was beyond amazing! Another reason I’ll keep him here until school age.
This is the first childcare setting my son has ever been to and to be introduced in an environment which is following such strict guidelines for Covid-19 was a new experience for me as a parent (with 2 older children). The setting put me at ease with everything they have put in place and have worked hard at making the most of situation with the children. The facilities are amazing from farm animals to outdoor facilities to the arts and crafts, cosmic yoga and forest schools is another level! Such a fantastic experience for my son so far who has come along in confidence, numeracy and phonic skills. They obviously have to bring children out of the setting to meet parents at the moment but a full handover of the day is given in detail and answering questions. Thank you Little Bugs for a great first educational experience for my son!
She has made many little friends who she babbles about when she gets home, and she is always happy, and well looked after. We love Little Bugs and can't recommend it enough.
The whole setting is fantastic with plenty of outside space (which was a big selling point for me) and the children all spend so much time (safely) outside when they can.
The children get free roam of Creepy Crawlies until it opens on a morning and they get to spend time in the outside area there with the animals frequently. I've found myself recommending Little Bugs to my friends and family that don't even have children yet so I think that's a testament to just how great they are.
My daughter loves going to Little Bugs Childcare.
The staff are all so caring and friendly, we couldn't fault them. My daughter is always so excited to go there and it means I don't have to worry when I'm at work as I know she is cared for and having fun. The fact that they have the use of creepy crawlies every day and the free entry is a bonus.
We love Little Bugs Childcare!
Little Bugs is a brilliant nursery. Both my children have attended. Amazing facilities and staff. The exclusive use of creepy crawlies each morning is a bonus too. My son is excited to go to Nursery on a morning and loves to tell me all of the fun things he has been upto each day. Would recommend anyone looking for a childcare setting to take a look around.
They have a beautiful setting which looks pristine and they make full use of all the facilities on their doorstep.
It is a wonderful setting with wonderful staff; the perfect combination in my eyes.
Wonderful nursery - would recommend to anyone. My son loves his time there it’s easy to leave on a morning. Great friendly supportive staff who my boy adores. Great activities. He has come on so much since joining a year ago. Good meals and absolutely loads for the kids to do.
My little boy loves it here! Every member of staff is amazing, they make every child and parent feel very welcome! Some days my little boy doesn’t even hang back for a cuddle as he can’t wait to get inside! There is so much for the kids to do, activities change on a daily basis. The food sounds amazing too! So much variety... my little boy eats better than his mummy and daddy! Highly recommend this wonderful nursery! Well done to every member of staff, you make it what it is!
The staff all have a genuine caring attitude to the children meaning that my sons first settling in weeks, which naturally could have been difficult were dealt with so well - both for my son and for myself.
The home from home environment in the baby and toddler rooms is lovely and the access to creepy crawlies, the animals and lots of outside time results in a varied day.
Communication between nursery and home is brilliant and there are more options for flexibility of care compared to other nurseries. I have recommended to friends and will continue to do so.
The food is also exceptional and my son will try things he never would at home! I am so happy with the progress my son is making and am hoping he will stay right up to starting school.
Lovely nursery, I would highly recommend. My daughter absolutely loves Little Bugs, she has so much fun!
The facilities are second to none.
Cannot recommend this nursery enough.

“I have worked in childcare for more years than I would like to admit! I have experience of caring for children in many different situations from being a private nanny, working in schools, private day nurseries and through being a Beaver Scout Leader. I love to watch and help the children in my care to learn and develop new skills which are going to help them in their future. I feel the best thing we can do as childcare practitioners is to encourage children to fully appreciate their childhood and treasure it and the memories they will make during it.”
“I have worked in childcare for seven years since I left school. I went to college for two years and I achieved a BTEC national diploma level 3 in Early Years. I have worked with all ages of children up to the age of 8, I have done this through working in baby units, toddlers, pre-school and reception classes. I enjoy making great relationships with the children whilst helping them learn and develop new skills.
I graduated from Lancaster University in 2019, with a degree BSc(Hons) Psychology, in which I specialised in children’s development and language. I absolutely love working at Little Bugs, the team and the children are all amazing!
When I’m not at work, I enjoy walking my chocolate Labrador called Coco, going to classic car auctions and watching road cycling races.
My hobbies outside of nursery life include going on long walks and going to the gym.
I find it very rewarding helping the children learn and develop.
I am a level 3 trained nursery practitioner and I have worked with children from babies to the age of 12, and find every age group rewarding to work with for different reasons.
I have worked in childcare for 12 years, I have a BA Hons in Educational Leadership for the Children’s Workforce.
I really enjoy working as part of a team and leading others to provide high-quality care, it’s a privilege to play a part in each child’s development.
I like NFL, Netflix, food and badminton!
