Toad Hall Nursery - The Willows, Winnersh

This is a really good nursery, the changes it has made in the last two years are excellent. My child has bonded with his key worker and the staff in the room really well, they are always very welcoming and helpful.

I have no rated some of the below as due to Covid we have no seen inside the nursery so I feel it is unfair to do so but we are very happy with what we see so far.

From what I can tell of the nursery, it seems like a really lovely place, and my two and a half-year-old twins are really, really happy there. They love going. The staff are all really friendly and caring; it is just such as shame that because of Coivd, we are unable to share the kid's experience of the nursery.

My son has been attending Toad Hall Nursery Winnersh since January 2021. He absolutely loves coming in and seeing his friends and key worker. The staff are supportive during the pandemic, they offer comfort and excellent care for my son.

Our son started at The Willows Winnersh in July 2020, and the staff are so friendly, really helpful and professional. We are thoroughly briefed by the staff of all the activities that he has done during the day at the end of each day. He absolutely adores going to nursery. There are so many learning activities that are held in the nursery that are absolutely necessary for the development of our child at an early age. We always have the peace of mind that our son is well looked after. We would highly recommend Toad Hall Winnersh to everyone.

Toad Hall has provided great care to our daughter. She is happy and has thrived while there. The staff are wonderful and appear to take a personal approach to each child, tailored to their needs.

Our daughter has had a wonderful time at this nursery. She settled quickly, which we knew she would, but she really loves the staff and the friends she has made in her time here so far. She talks so fondly of the staff, and one staff member is always mentioned on her best friend list! This has been the best setting for her before she starts school in September, and I know it will break her heart (and mine!) leaving, which is a huge testament to the nursery setting and the staff. Our daughter only attends 1.5 days, and the impact it has had on her is wonderful. The staff are always so lovely at pick up and drop off and always relay everything she has done in her day and eaten etc. They have adapted brilliantly during the pandemic, and we had no concerns with her returning! Thank you so much to you all for making this experience a truly wonderful one!

I have had my son here for a year. Recently management has gone downhill with little or no concern about a child's warfare. Made my child dislike going to nursery. No support provided when my concern was raised.

Our daughter settled quickly in the baby room and when she moved to the toddler room. She has been happy throughout her time at the nursery even after the break during the lockdown. The adults all have a lovely relationship with our daughter and she talks about them at home. She is making good progress and has been toilet trained at 2 years with their support. We get a discounted rate as dad works in Winnersh Triangle which is a bonus.

There are loads of activities provided to facilitate their learning and she is now in a great position to start school next year with all that she has learnt. We have a had a challenging time as a family over the last couple of years and staff have been incredibly supportive all the way through.

I can't rate Toad Hall Nursery Winnersh highly enough. Returning to work when my daughter was 12 months old was a stressful and worrying time - but I'm so happy and reassured by the care she receives. All the staff are lovely, caring and gentle. My daughter is excelling there and growing in confidence. They support her development based on her individual needs and form personal relationships with so she is comfortable there. The food, menus and facilities are also excellent. She comes home covered in paint every day - which is a sign of the fun she's having.

My little girl absolutely loves attending The Willows. The facilities are fantastic, there's so much to do and they often run special activity days or evenings where parents get to come and enjoy too! The thing that stands out for me is how incredible all the staff are. We are greeted every day with huge smiles, a big welcome and I totally trust that my daughter is in good hands! The transition periods are handled really well, from initial settling in sessions to moving up to the pre-school room, they really care about each and every child! The food is healthy, varied and looks delicious! The managers are amazing, always ready for a chat and to put your mind at ease about any concerns. I am so happy with the Willows and will be sad when it's time to start school!

Kids get an appraisal badge if they do good in any area to encourage them. Day-care now has a library where you can borrow books to encourage kids to read. My girl likes borrowing books that she likes and wants me to read it out to her at home. The outside play area is a good size (separate play areas for babies/small kids and older kids) and it has plenty of outdoor activities that my girl loves to play with.

My daughter has been in the nursery for over a year now, she is always excited to see the other children and staff. She was very timid but has come on leaps and bounds. My daughter has made good bonds with her key worker, who always welcomes her and gives me or her gran excellent talkbacks, so I know exactly what she has been up to. I know I don't need to worry about her at all which makes me happy.

My daughter started The Willows Winnersh in April 2018 when she was 6 months old. She is in Little Blossoms and loves it. She is thriving with her development thanks to all the girls in the room. She enjoys coming to nursery, she even leans forward to go to the staff members with excitement. The girls in the whole nursery are friendly, supportive and amazing at comforting other parents who struggle with drop off. When looking in on my daughter before collecting her, she is always smiling and giggling with the other staff members and has built amazing bonds with them all. I am extremely happy with The Willows Nursery and I will be 100% bringing my next child to The Willows Winnersh.

My daughter was at the nursery for 1 1/2 years. She settled in very well and was always welcomed by the staff.

My Son started at the Willows in July 2017, although he had trouble settling in to start, which was only due to him not being used to being away from family. He completely adores going to nursery now and goes in with the biggest smile on his face. His key worker is just wonderful and cannot do enough to help us. They do so many fun activities, and he brings home some lovely artwork. They do a great monthly newsletter showing what they did the previous month and what they are planning on doing the next month and have some great family days where parents can come and join in with activities. They have a fab online tool as well, which they update with observations and photos of your child’s activity. The meals there are great as well, I am always amazed at the great things they have to eat. Would recommend very highly to everyone.

The carers are very friendly and approachable and they know exactly what they are doing. Warm and loving care. Would recommend it to everyone. I am absolutely heartbroken to leave the nursery behind because we have to move to the other side of the country, my son did have a very good time here.

My daughters development has come on lots since moving up to the little toads room. The staff are great with her they are so kind and friendly. My daughter seems to really enjoy being at Willows and is very happy. Thank you.

My daughter moved up a room in January. She is 21 months. Since then I have noticed huge progress in her development. She is very happy and confident, her understanding and speech has come on massively. her eating and sleeping has also improved. Overall I am very happy with Willows.
