I only wish I had found this nursery for my eldest child. I've had 2 children go through Explorers 1 and Adventurers 2. They were amazing with my daughter that has cerebral palsy, making time every session to do physio and OT exercises with her, and have been brilliant with my son who is incredibly clingy, but always has good things to say about school.

If you're an anxious parent, looking for a professional, nurturing and gentle environment - you're in safe hands. My daughter is almost 3 and prior to Happy days, had not attended nursery. She was very unsettled when leaving us, but the staff at Happy Days went above and beyond to make her feel safe, loved and looked after. The settle sessions were incredibly nurturing, the activities were tailored to my daughter's interests to keep her engaged and create a sense of excitement. The management and staff are kind, approachable and so understanding. Our daughter has a severe allergy and this was taken very seriously - lots of protocols and practices are in place to keep her safe. I never thought I'd feel happy with her attending any setting, but I was always left feeling confident and secure in the knowledge she was being very well cared for. Thank you, happy days!

Happy Days has offered our little one exceptional care. It is the perfect size - big enough to offer plenty of children to mix with, but small enough that you get to know the staff quite well and quickly. Every single member of the team have been friendly, helpful and professional. We have been particularly impressed by our little one's key worker and the team in her room. On starting we were offered a number of settle sessions where the staff made it their job to ensure it worked. Working in education myself meant that there were particular provisions I wanted to see in place, and they are all evident in this nursery. On top of this, the food offered is amazing- healthy, freshly prepared and offering good variety. We also love it being a sing and sign nursery as this has really helped with communication. The team have recently worked very hard to arrange a care plan for our daughter following an operation where she has needed some extra support. I would recommend without hesitation.

My little one has been attending nursery settle sessions the past few weeks ahead of his start date and has been doing amazing! The team have been so welcoming and supportive with this new transition which has had a really positive impact on both myself and my son.
The nursery has such a warm and family feel, and it always smells amazing on arrival due to the lovely chef that I had the fortune of meeting who prepares lovely fresh meals for all the children.

Can't wait to see my little one enjoy and succeed in his early years journey.

My daughter has recently started at Happy days nursery and I couldn't be more thrilled with the experince I have received. As first time mum, I was super anxious about putting my 9 month old into setting but watching her settle, has been wonderful. To have the app has been amazing, I love knowing how my daughter day has gone. Our daughter is a massive foodie and it's lovely to find out what amazing meals she has been eating. Big shout to the chief!

The staff's kindness, knowledge and support has been incredible. The staff in the babyroom has been amazing, my daughter is comfortable to play with all the staff in the room and has formed a lovely bond with her keyworker Mel. The management team are always welcoming and has been so supportive to us as a family.

While settling into nursery, my daughter developed an allergy and the nusery was very proactive in putting measures to ensure she was safe and the staff were informed.

Overall I would happily recommend Happy days nusery.

My started at exactly 9 months old, he's now 20 months! What a journey it has been so far, if you're looking for a nursery that builds relationships and takes excellent care of your little ones, I 100% recommend, my son has some struggles, and hasn't developed as quick as what is classed as normal but all the team take their time to support him, don't pressure him and make him feel comfortable to be able to develop at his own speed. I was so so worried about leaving my child in a place I was so unfamiliar, but as we all understand work calls and we go back to normal, but I am so glad this was the nursery we chose, my son is so well looked after, he barely wants to leave when I pick him up these days! Couldn't be happier with his progress and excited to see what the future holds for him at this nursery!

We have absolutely loved Happy Days Exeter. We had a terrible experience with our previous setting but Happy Days have been phenomenal in reinstating our trust with other unfamiliar people caring for our daughter. All the staff are so personable and caring and we fully trust that our daughter is in safe hands, but also that she has the best fun when she's at nursery. Thank you to all of the team!

Our twins were in happy days Exeter from October 2021-August 2025. The care and support from the baby room through to the pre school room has been fantastic.
The 7:30 early opening time (must be pre-arranged) meant I could get to work for 8am, meals are varied & nutritious, introducing new foods that we could then work into their diet at home.

The last year as the boys prepared for school has particularly impressed me, they have developed a natural curiosity to learn about everything, to confidently ask questions and be kind and considerate to their friends. The Exeter team have supported us through the minor & major transitions from battles over wearing hats to preparing for school. The learning based play over the last year has been structured to grow them ready for school and worked fantastically. We were very sad for the boys to leave happy days but excited & ready for school.

It was such a pleasure caring for both of your boys and we are all missing them here at Happy Days, but hope that they are enjoying school! Thank you for your kind words, I have shared with the team who really appreciate your feedback and are really proud to hear the positive impact that they have had.

Across two kids we had been going to Happy Days for 6 years, which ends with our second starting school.
Of course there have been some low periods or times when we were frustrated, it was 6 years, but across that time a constant was excellent staff with a real dedication to their kids. Even staff in other rooms recognise and engage with all the kids. A great mix of staff too.
Our second was a tad slow to start talking, his key worker saw this, and worked with the senior team to develop a plan which was discussed with us to help the development, that child now never shuts up, so maybe I should dock a mark ;)

If we were looking for a nursery again it would be here, without doubt.

Our son has been with Happy Days since he was around 9 months old, its been a journey and the staff here has been with us every step of the way. I have really been able to build up a relationship with the staff, and I feel so happy and comfortable leaving my son here.

What really makes me happy here is the uniqueness of each staff member and the staff is allowed to be themselves, and you can see this in the children as well. There is a real passion for child care within this nursery and again you can see that shine through in the children.

Everyone is approachable and friendly, and the level of trust that I have with the staff and management is high. I will also say that the staff does have your best interest in mind when it comes to affordability and other information.

My son has developed greatly and continues to do so, they support him every step of the way.

Our daughter has loved coming to Happy Days for over two years. She has good relationships with staff and is always happy to come in in the mornings and is happily playing when I pick her up. My son has just started at the nursery at 10 months. He was given lots of settles to ensure that when he started he was comfortable with his environment . He has recently started and after the initial first day shock, he quickly settled and has been soo happy and playful. The staff have always let me know the information I needed and were always happy to speak to me when I phoned to check on him. I am also really enjoying the new parent app where I can see all about there day! I especially love seeing photos of him enjoying himself.
A lovely nursery and pre school filled with trustworthy, friendly and approachable adults.

Thanks so much!

We have used Happy Days Nursery for years with our eldest son, then when our second son was born, we knew we wanted him to have the same caring and engaging experience so we went back. The setting as a whole is calm and welcoming, the staff are caring and genuine, they know us all by name. We were offered numerous settling sessions to make sure the transition went smoothly and put my mind at rest so I could return to work with confidence. Also we had the chance to have the same key worker as we had with our first son, she has a wealth of knowledge and experience that I trust. I would highly recommend Happy Days to any parents looking at nurseries for their little ones.

Ever since I came to see the nursery I have loved it, it was perfect for my two children. The staff are incredible, affectionate and very kind, always with a smile on their face. As for the place, it is quite spacious, tidy and accessible. They do a lot of activities and we are always informed of everything that happens with our children. Keira Vincent Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2025
Keira Vincent

My name is Keira, and I have over 15 years of childcare experience. I began my childcare career volunteering at a nursery and immediately fell in love with the job. Eager to learn everything I could, I then began my own learning journey whilst working in nurseries, carrying out my level 2, 3 and 4 NVQ qualifications across 5 different nurseries in Exeter of various different sizes and set ups.

I joined Happy Days Exeter in 2022 in a varied role as the nursery administrator, supervisor, health and safety officer and SENCO. I loved working for Happy Days in such a varied role, taking on lots of different responsibilities and new challenges, which naturally led me into undertaking my level 5 in operations management with the company and excitingly taking on the role of manager, which is my favourite role I have had so far! I am passionate about supporting and empowering our families, children and staff team. It is so rewarding and inspiring to watch our children grow and learn, and to be a part of nurturing their learning journey.
