Toad Hall Nursery Berkhamsted

My youngest just left Toad Hall aged 4, she started when she was about 18 months. The staff are absolutely lovely, the menus sound delicious. Obviously, I never had a full meal but the kitchen staff catered for the graduation and all the parents were impressed. The management is excellent, really approachable and helpful. They are flexible (as much as they can be). There are 4 different rooms for the different aged children, and different outdoor areas as well so the kids are well supervised at all times with age-appropriate activities. The staff-to-children ratio was high in all the rooms, even for the older children which I was very happy about. I can't speak highly enough of this place, the manager is clearly doing a fantastic job.

Our daughter has been at the nursery almost a year now and started in September 2021. She, like so many others, was born in lockdown so had limited contact with people early on. She took some settling to adjust to nursery but the team were wonderful. They have built such a great connection with her now that now she cant wait to get to nursery! The team are always friendly and communicate brilliantly. Its very special to have a nursery that we love and trust so a huge thank you for the team at Toad Hall Berkhamsted for all you do!

My daughter has been with Toad Hall Berkhamsted since she was a year old and is about to start primary school. The staff have been exceptional throughout, from the early days when it was hard for my daughter and us, as parents, to be separated, through COVID, and now through the transition to primary school. We couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

Friendly, professional staff who go the extra mile and take a real interest in each child. Lovely outdoor space and excellent nutritional menus. We’ve been really pleased over the last few years and plan to enrol our second child, once I go back to work.

We have been at Toad Hall since 2013 when it first opened. We have always had an A* with the management and the environment that has been fostered by a caring manager and assistant manager. Both children have been/are happy at Toad Hall.

An amazing nursery, where staff clearly care for all the children. My son comes home buzzing from a fun filled day and regularly talks about the staff that look after him. The staff give a thorough hand over at the end of the day to keep us updated on the daily activities.

Both our children attended the nursery and loved it. They were both cared for brilliantly and always had lots of fun. Always lots of great activities for the children and they make learning fun. We always had full trust in the staff and our children always came out happy. The staff really do care about the children and I would highly recommend the nursery.

We have two kids at Toad Hall and both are happy there. It's been hard to not be able to see inside the nursery, due to covid, but the team have done a great job of trying to let us know what the space is like for the boys and how they are developing. We would love more information on their day but I think that's natural, when you don't get to see them inside the space.

My daughter has absolutley thrived since being at Toad Hall. All the staff are absolutley brilliant and very approachable if you have any problems at all or concerns about specific areas of your childs development. Could not fault this nursery and would 100% recommend!

Toad Hall Berkhamsted has been one of the biggest contributors to my son's development. The staff have always been so welcoming and warming with us all and most importantly, my son. He’s made strong relationships with staff members and with other children. I couldn’t be happier with the care and nurturing that my son receives. My baby boy has been at Toad Hall since he was 11 months old. He has loved it since day one and has come on leaps and bounds. The staff are really friendly and take great care of him and I’m always amazed at how they get a group of 1-year-olds so well engaged in so many different learning activities. They do some great things, with a good balance of child and adult-led learning. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this nursery.

I was very nervous of my daughter starting nursery, due to lockdown, as the only faces she knew were ours. The nursery made sure they gave her plenty of settling in sessions and I shouldn’t have worried. She wriggles with excitement to go in every morning with a big smile on her face. She’s clearly so happy there and spends each day with varied, fun but educational activities. Staff have been amazing, friendly, approachable and clearly dedicated to what they do. Highly recommended if you're looking for a nursery.

My daughter has been at Toad Hall for a little over a year and absolutely loves her days there each week. The staff have been so caring and fun with her and have always made sure we feel connected to what she has done each day. We cannot recommend Toad Hall highly enough.

Our 14-month-old attends this nursery and I can't recommend it enough. The facilities are great and the staff are very accommodating with great attention to detail. They're extremely attentive to the children's needs, always happy and very helpful.

I have had two children attend Toad Hall in Berkhamsted and would recommend it wholeheartedly. The personal attention paid to the children by the staff and management is clear. I have consistently been impressed by the breadth of educational activities and subjects explored - particularly in preschool. I would say that this nursery is on the higher end of the cost per day, but I cannot fault the quality of care given to the children.

I cannot imagine my life without Toad Hall. Simply it is better than I could ever ask for. It makes my child a better person and myself a better mother. Would highly recommend and would not change it for anything else. My daughter started at Toad Hall at fifteen months old, three days a week. Then four days a week from twenty-one months old and now she is full time, five days a week at the age of two years five months. Thank you, Toad Hall, for looking after us.

The care and attention offered to my daughter is superb and this is evident from the moment you walk in the door. Everybody greets her, even staff who don't have direct involvement. She loves her time at Toad Hall and comes home excitedly chattering about all the things she has done, the range of which is impressive. Really happy we chose Toad Hall!

Toad Hall Berkhamsted provides a safe, warm and fun atmosphere to care for our children (3+ and 14months). They are both flourishing and are supported and encouraged to meet all milestones. The staff put lots of effort to think of exciting and engaging activities and create lots of fun. The nursery is well managed and regular investment in facilities.

Our daughter was one of the first babies to start at Toad Hall when it opened and she loved her time there, all the way through to starting reception class at school. Our son now attends and is just as happy. They have both developed key core learning and social skills in a safe and entertaining environment. The level of care and interest shown by all members of staff is excellent and the management team have been so helpful in accommodating requests over the years.
