Our son has been going here since he was 9 months old (he is now almost 3). We have seen his confidence improve so much during this time.
He has built some really lovely friendships with other kids but more noticeably with a number of members of staff (he regularly says goodnight to them all
when going to bed at home). There is a real warmth and sense of 'home away from home' at this nursery, which we love. The food is fantastic, varied, interesting, wholesome and we now have a very confident eater who is willing to try everything.
The nursery was really supportive with key milestones, such as how he would transition to potty training from home to nursery, as well as the addition of a younger brother. They have all helped to make sure it's been a really positive experience for us all.
We're extremely grateful to the hardworking team of Toad Hall and have zero hesitation in registering our recently born second son there.
We recommend Toad Hall without reservation.

Fantastic care for my son and his friends. The team always focus on making sure our son is having fun, being creative, socialising, eating well and developing well.
The staff are all really friendly and have a real passion for what they do, my son loves them and his little brother will be joining
him soon.
Only room for improvement would be more photos and updates on activity. Also the invoicing and payment scheme is a bit difficult to follow but the team ensure we are getting the best available rates with government support.
It's also quite a small building but the team make sure the kids enjoy the outdoors when they can

Toad Hall is a warm, friendly and nurturing environment, we were quite nervous about our daughter joining a new nursery when we moved towns, but the staff really made efforts to ensure she settled in well, and she had really enjoyed her time there. They have been fantastic at managing her multiple
food allergies.

It brings me peace of mind to drop off my daughter in Toad Hall, knowing she will receive the best care and attention. Although it took her some time to settle in, she is now happy to go to the nursery every morning, and I can see how her skills are developing every day.

Toad Hall is a warm, caring, happy nursery. The care received has been incredibly attentive, the facilities are clean and organised, and the staff professional and friendly. My daughter has been very happy whilst at Toad Hall and they have also handled her allergy exceptionally well.

The best compliment I can give Toad Hall is that my daughter really loves attending and looks forward to it every day. That is the most important thing that you can ask for as a parent and is a testament to the nursery. Each of the people who work there are clearly very caring and take a genuine
interest in her development and ensure that she has a fun time there! All of my daughter’s main skills - including walking/motor skills/speaking/interacting and playing with other children have really come on since she has been attending. The food always sounds delicious and when the parents also get to have breakfast (only on special occasions sadly) it tastes great too!

Toad Hall in Berkhamsted have been great. We really feel welcomed whenever we go in and have got to know many of the staff and other parents.
Our daughter has a lot of fun and has learned so much since starting at Toad Hall. We are constantly amazed by all the things she picks up on.
We are very
confident that she is well looked after. She receives comfort when she needs it and her dietary needs have been well catered for.
Communication could perhaps be improved regarding nursery events etc. This has been raised at parents' forums though so I expect feedback has been considered and acted on. Overall, we have no regrets about choosing Toad Hall and would recommend it!

My little one is so happy at Toad Hall Nursery. The staff are so attentive and so great with all the kids. The food menu is always very varied and well-planned. Lovely setting and would highly recommend!

The staff have all been fantastic and my child has thrived in such a fun and welcoming setting. The nursery are always hosting events for the children and parents and include different cultural celebrations and topics throughout the year.

This is a fantastic nursery. Our children really enjoy going, and we're impressed with their learning. The staff are incredible, always very friendly and receptive to feedback, and they really care about the children.

This is a great nursery. My son has developed so much since starting there in January 2022 in Toads and he is always so happy to go there. I feel so glad and lucky that he is at Toad Hall Nursery. The staff are really friendly and so welcome to all parents. I would definitely recommend it to anyone
who is looking for a nursery.

Very pleased with the nursery. The staff are caring and attentive and activities and themed days varied. Also good set-up outside for all weather. My child enjoys their time at the nursery and I feel informed of their day and development.

Our nursery and all the staff are great in so many ways. In the last month, they have helped settle our child back into the routine of the nursery after a long break over Christmas. Unfortunately, he then came out with chickenpox which the nursery spotted very early. They gave us advice on when he
could come back and kept in touch about his progress. They then helped him settle back at nursery again! He is very fond of the key workers and kids in his room so he was happy to be back.

Superb nursery. My children are always so excited when they are coming in and chatter constantly at pick up and on the way home about the wonderful day they have had. Staff at all levels really care about the children and that shows.

This is such a lovely nursery. The staff are warm and friendly and take really good care of the children. They are always doing great activities. The children are happy and as a parent, you couldn't wish for a better place to send your children.

There's no problem too big for any of the staff, they're ever willing to help and listen, a friendly bunch too. They've always got the time to hear me out and never once have we had any disagreement. They're accommodating towards my needs as a mom and my son's. Highly recommend if good management
and staff are one of your top priorities.

My youngest just left Toad Hall aged 4, she started when she was about 18 months. The staff are absolutely lovely, the menus sound delicious. Obviously, I never had a full meal but the kitchen staff catered for the graduation and all the parents were impressed. The management is excellent, really
approachable and helpful. They are flexible (as much as they can be). There are 4 different rooms for the different aged children, and different outdoor areas as well so the kids are well supervised at all times with age-appropriate activities. The staff-to-children ratio was high in all the rooms, even for the older children which I was very happy about. I can't speak highly enough of this place, the manager is clearly doing a fantastic job.

Our daughter has been at the nursery almost a year now and started in September 2021. She, like so many others, was born in lockdown so had limited contact with people early on. She took some settling to adjust to nursery but the team were wonderful. They have built such a great connection with her
now that now she cant wait to get to nursery! The team are always friendly and communicate brilliantly. Its very special to have a nursery that we love and trust so a huge thank you for the team at Toad Hall Berkhamsted for all you do!

My daughter has been with Toad Hall Berkhamsted since she was a year old and is about to start primary school. The staff have been exceptional throughout, from the early days when it was hard for my daughter and us, as parents, to be separated, through COVID, and now through the transition to
primary school. We couldn’t recommend them highly enough.
