Nurtured Nursery St Winnow

My daughter has absolutely loved going to Nurtured Nursery for the past 2 years. She particularly enjoyed singing and would often come home singing songs she has learned at nursery. She struggled a little with the change in moving up to the Explorers room but the staff were very understanding and allowed her to go and see the children and staff in the younger room if she wanted to, to help with the transition. The outdoor space is a really nice area for both rooms. It's great that the children can play with water, sand, paint and get messy; really important for them to have fun and also so they get it out of their system before they come home! We really appreciated the excellent home cooked food and variety of snacks. At this age, it helps them so much to enjoy different meals together as a group. Nurtured were also very flexible if I needed to change a day or timings. The learning journey books are a wonderful keepsake. Thank you for such a wonderful start to her learning!

My daughter has been attending Nurtured for some time now and she thoroughly enjoys it. The staff are friendly and every child has a key person who looks after them to ensure stability and comfort.

Ongoing learning journals are kept for each child, which is a lovely way of capturing their development and growth. These are packed with photos and notes as to what they have been up to. As a parent, we get to review these periodically and it always surprises me just how much she has come on.

The range of activities available such as Forrest School, crafts, drawing/painting, dressing up and reading to name but a few, is extensive. When it is warmer there is an outdoor space including a fairy garden which is a big hit with her.

I would highly recommend Nurtured to any parent trying to decide which nursery is best for their child. A final bonus is the flexibility. It is open all year round which is good for routine.

Such a kind, gentle and understanding approach to childcare. One of the most potentially difficult things transformed into the most positive experience when deciding my daughter should start nursery. I feel she is cared for, nurtured and enjoyed in a way that makes us feel secure in our decision. She has an enriching time with the lovely, lovely staff.

I could not recommend this Nursery more. The staff are thoughtful and helpful, sensitive and good fun. My youngest is always happy in go in and has thirds of every lunch! My eldest has grown so much in confidence in the last 9 months since he has been coming to Nurtured Nursery and he has made good friends he will now go to school with. I can't thank you enough.

Excellent indoor and outdoor facilities which are frequently being improved.

This is a fantastic Nursery and I wouldn't want to send my daughter anywhere else. The staff are all extremely welcoming and friendly and each one knows my daughter very well. We are always greeted with a smile and given detailed information about her day, as well as home diaries and beautiful learning journeys. She spends lots of time playing outside and using her imagination whilst having fun and learning.

Brilliant nursery, with a really lovely team. Great focus on outdoor play and letting children enjoy themselves in a fun, secure environment. Very flexible (even at short notice), which is perfect as a working parent and difficult to find in a lot of other nurseries. Each age group is well-catered for and has dedicated environments to suit their capabilities. A really lovely place for children to attend.

Both my children attended Nurtured Nursery. The staff and management are welcoming and knowledgeable. They demonstrate a high level of care towards the children and encourage them to explore and learn in a nurturing and fun way. The turn over of staff is extremely low and this makes a great difference as a parent. Each key person that my children have had (often the same person) has shown empathy, knowledge and dedication. The staff are approachable and always keen to feedback to parents on what the children have done that day - this makes such a difference!

My son has flourished since attending this nursery over past two years and become a huge part to his growing child development that he loves going to school. All team provide excellent care and an outstanding learning environment I would highly recommend.

This is a fantastic nursery and although my child only attends during breakfast club and after school club the time she spends with the team and other children is greatly enjoyed.

By nature by child is quite shy and reserved, however the staff make the environment very comfortable and are extremely supportive as well as friendly. This has enabled her to grow in confidence over the past few months of attending and is somewhere my daughter is really comfortable in going as well as being somewhere she has fun. I equally have 100% satisfaction she is in safe hands and being well nurtured/cared for whilst in the care of the team.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Nurtured Nursery. I initially hated the thought of having to send my son to nursery but knowing he is being properly cared for in a homely environment makes it a whole lot easier! The staff are fantastic. They really care about and are interested in the children they look after. There is a great balance between learning and play. The children are encouraged to play outside at every available opportunity which can only be a good thing. The children's food is freshly cooked on site and the menu is varied and interesting. My son generally comes home full, happy, shattered and looking like an urchin- always a sign of a fun day!

My daughter loves nursery and has great bonds with the members of staff.

My daughter always wants to come to nursery and has great fun every time. She loves the practitioners and will go to them for any of her needs. She is always trying new activities I could not provide at home.
