I was very anxious about leaving my son at first. But he loves coming and interacting with the children and the staff. His development is coming along nicely since he's been here. The staff are really supportive in everything and I'm glad I chose this nursery for him.

Both my children have attended Kaleidoscope day nursery at Drighlington since they were babies (now 5 and 3 years old). I honestly don’t know what I would have done without the care, love, teaching and nurturing they have shown to my children. All the staff who have looked after them genuinely care
and as a mother, it is so lovely to know that when I drop the kids off so I can go to work, they will have a day of fun and laughter. Kaleidoscope has been so accommodating to us, I work shifts so the children are in nursery and KOOSH on random days. This has never been a problem. I literally couldn’t recommend them enough.

Can’t praise this nursery enough. My little girl loves going and has formed fabulous friendships with both other children and staff. Activities are always age-appropriate and educational. Facilities are great and parents are always kept updated and informed on progress.

I have been using this nursery since my daughter was 9 mths old in the baby room through to her now being 5 and using the KOOSH club. I also have a son who goes here. They both absolutely love it! The staff are brilliant and although it’s a fairly large site all the staff know all the children. My 2
have built really strong bonds with staff over the years. There are 4 different rooms which the children move up into and found that the staff work really well to make the transitions go smoothly. The facilities are excellent and the activities such as forest school and mini maestros is an added bonus which both of mine enjoyed. The nursery uses an online app where you can look at what the children have been doing and what they are currently working on. The phonics work they do in the Blue room really helped my daughter for when she started school. I have and would highly recommend this nursery as I have never had any issues and all the staff including management are very approachable.

Both my children have attended this nursery over the last 5 years. The facilities are excellent. The staff are amazing, caring, approachable, understanding, patient and professional. My children love attending. They regularly come home with stories, crafts, baking and a smile!! I fully recommend to

My son currently attends this setting. He has a great time every day he attends and is never reluctant to be left there on a morning.

The staff are always helpful, friendly and caring.

I love this nursery as do both of my children. Has one of the best outdoor provisions in the area and I love how much time the children spend outside.

Kaleidoscope is an excellent nursery that offers fantastic facilities. Regardless of which room your child is in, all the staff take the time to get to know your child. Since my son has started at this nursery he has thrived in his learning. I think this is down to how the staff respond to the children’s
individual needs and the variety of learning that they offer.

Would recommend this nursery, as it was recommended to me.
I made a bold move to change my daughter's nursery to here after around 2 years in a previous nursery and I wasn’t disappointed. I have now without question sent my second child. The staff are friendly and each of my children’s primary carers
in their chosen rooms have given my child great support and always look happy to be with them when I leave and pick up. They offer a great variety of care and opening times work well for me. To top it off they have been rated outstanding!

My son loves it at nursery and always looks like he's had a wonderful time, my daughter went too until last September and she was so upset to leave.

Staff are outstanding and the outdoor area and open access is a unique asset.

Current Review Score: 9.1 (9.094)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.1 (9.094) out of 10 for Muddy Boots Nursery (Drighlington) is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.1 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.969 for Muddy Boots Nursery (Drighlington) is calculated as follows: ( (93 Excellents x 5) + (3 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 96 Ratings = 4.969
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.125 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Muddy Boots Nursery (Drighlington) is based on 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.8
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 123 number of registered child places is 24.6. 8 Positive Reviews ÷ 24.6 = 0.325
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
