Sunbeams Nursery have recently had a full internal and external refurbishment, to create a warm, friendly, safe and welcoming learning environment for their children to have the best possible start in life.

They have a team of dedicated professionals who provide a warm and friendly atmosphere in a secure learning environment to enable children to grow, develop and take the next steps in life with confidence. Their aim is to provide affordable childcare which encourages and inspires all children to be creative and unique individuals by offering natural environments which are enriched with open-ended resources that gives the children the opportunity to learn through their own play and curiosity.

My daughter has been at Sunbeams since July of this year (2023). She was only 9 months when she started and it didn’t take long for her to get settled in. All the staff are lovely and I know she is well looked after during her stay. The most important thing for me is communication, this is given at
Sunbeams. They keep parents updated with any changes in the nursery, they also post regularly on the internal app about what the children are getting up to. All staff are very friendly and can’t do enough for you and your child! Thank you to everyone at Sunbeams!

My daughter has been full time at Sunbeams for two years almost. In that time I would say her social skills, confidence and independence have grown significantly. The staff are amazing, very friendly and creative with activities. My daughter speaks very highly of them!

My son has attended the nursery since he was 1. I haven't been overly impressed with them. I don't feel there has been sufficient training and I was on the verge of moving my son. I was frustrated with inconsistencies with constant change in management and staff.
I met with the new manager and deputy
as a last resort to go through my concerns and lack of support and I can actually say there is only one other person I've ever met that shows the passion for early years and helping children, so it felt very refreshing to finally have management who are dedicated to their role. You have to be in it for the children and they are determined to turn it around and I believe they will. I'm looking forward to seeing some positive changes.

My daughter started nursery in September 2023. The staff are very caring and compassionate, which helps my daughter settle. Since starting nursery, we have seen a big development in her emotional and social development.
There have been lots of staff changes since my daughter has started nursery, however,
this has not affected the care my daughter has received. There is now management structure in place, I hope this provides more observations completed and information provided regarding areas that we may need to support with.

My daughter's been at Sunbeams since being 1, she’s now in the preschool room, ready to graduate next summer. She’s had a brilliant experience at Sunbeams and tells me all about her day when she comes home, which sounds very exciting. The nursery workers have been great with her, as when she first started
she use to cry every time I left her, but within a few minutes she was fine and they messaged me every morning to confirm and reassure she was absolutely fine and happy. My daughter's come on so much since starting nursery and Sunbeams is one of the main factors for this. The staff are great with her and communicate with me with all things I need to know and the new manager is great with all the things I’ve seen and read, what has and will be happening with the nursery. This is the second time I’ve used Sunbeams as my teenage son went years ago. We loved it then and I would use Sunbeams again and 100% recommend them.

Extremely disappointed in the standards of Sunbeams at the moment.
Recently been told they have a rodent issue within the nursery and outside surrounding areas which they were aware of back in August, however have only communicated with parents/carers within the past few days.
The department of
health have rated the setting as a 2/5 which again considering it’s where children are eating and drinking and playing is unacceptable to say the least.
You ask for reassurance and you are just met with excuses after excuses.
My little girl has been going since she was 7 months old and she is now 3 and within the last few months of staff members leaving, new management taking over and hygiene issues I have never had so many negative complaints about this setting. I will be removing my child as soon as I have found another childcare setting for her.

I would like to clarify and reassure you that we have been recently communicating with our families regarding the increased issue with fly-tipping around the setting, which is attracting more pests. With this, we have informed parents of the actions we have been taking. Ofsted and Environmental Health have been notified, and both agencies are happy with the processes we have in place to manage the situation.
I understand that when changes occur within a nursery it will leave parents with concerns and questions. We do have an open-door policy and are always happy to talk through your concerns and demonstrate all the processes we have put in place to take effective action. I would like to assure you that the safeguarding and welfare of our staff and children is our number one priority.

We did some research and chose Sunbeams Nursery school for our daughter, we thought it would be a welcoming place both for her and for us parents, but that's not what happened. We followed all the guidelines for settling, but after one week of following all the guidelines stipulated by the nursery we
were informed that my daughter was not ready, and they rejected her. My 2-year-old daughter was rejected from daycare for crying a lot and not interacting with other children. They said she wasn't ready yet. It was suggested that we put her in activities, but she already does 3 different activities a week. So they told us to wait a few months and try settling again. We were devastated. In the same week, we started settling into another daycare centre and on the third day she was no longer crying. I don't know what could have happened at Sunbeams because parents don't have access to the classroom but today I'm sure the problem wasn't my daughter.

Fantastic nursery with amazing staff!
Really friendly and was a great help with my son when he first started; they did everything they could to help him settle, and now he loves going!
Staff are very understanding and listen to anything you have to say or any concerns!
My son's keyworker is amazing
and does everything she can to ensure his needs are met!

We’re very happy with Sunbeams Nursery. Everyone is super helpful and friendly. My son loves going to this nursery. They keep the kids busy with creative activities every day, paying attention to each individual child’s interests and needs. The food served to the kids is fresh and healthy.

Overall, we have had a very good experience with this nursery.
We liked Sunbeams from the moment we had a show around. I would have liked a longer settling-in period, but it was the back end of Covid. The range of food my child eats is fantastic, and they always give him more if he asks. They're very
kind and nurturing from what I can see, and my little one loves going in. On the days he's not quite feeling it, whoever greets him at the door is always understanding and kind.
The feedback we get through the app regarding his development and next steps is handy for a first-time parent.
The activities my little one does at nursery seem challenging yet reachable for his age group, and they have been flexible with his education in terms of moving him up a room when they felt he was ready rather than just age dependent.
I cannot fault the nursery at all.

Sunbeams Nursery is a very nice nursery. My child likes this nursery very much. He misses this nursery. All the staff are very nice, caring, loving and supportive. Management of nursery is very nice. All facilities are excellent. My child's first language is not English, but all staff support him. Now

My son has been attending for just over a year now, a really pleasant experience. All staff are super helpful, friendly, and can’t do enough to help my little boy. I feel like he is looked after by them like he is one of their own. Lots of fun activities done daily, and photos can be seen on the app

Our child has been attending for a while. We were initially extremely happy with the nursery, and the staff in the room were fantastic. Although the care has remained excellent quality, the food has gone from curries, paella, chow mein etc to ham and cheese wraps, ham and cheese sandwiches and very
bland repetitive food. That being said, the staff are phenomenal and go above and beyond what we would ever expect. The only other thing I would say if I was being picky is we used to love the daily updates and pictures we would receive on the app, but now they seem to be few and far between. Overall, we would highly recommend Sunbeams, and we are eternally grateful to the staff for all the work and effort they continue to put in with our child.

My little boy has been coming to Sunbeams since August 2021. He has come on leaps and bounds since starting here thanks to the amazing staff! He has grown so much in confidence. 100% the best decision I've ever made sending my little boy to this nursery.

Our little boy has been attending Sunbeams Day Nursery for just over a year now, and they’ve been amazing. When initially started, he had difficulty talking; within a few months and lots of effort, they had him talking! Whilst being there, he’s been going through dairy-free diets, and they’ve tailored
to every need he’s had. They’ve supported us as parents and have continued to bring out the best in him. He’s grown, developed and blossomed, and it’s all thanks to the girls. His key worker has the most amazing bond with him, and he loves to come into the nursery to see her. The other girls are also so loving with him. He’s made the best friends there, and they really are all like a family! I trust them with him, and we would be lost without them.

It is a warm, clean and comforting environment. My son starting singing songs at home after only three days of attending the nursery, and I was very much surprised considering English is not his first language. The staff are amazing to him and to me; their app is super useful!

My granddaughter has been coming to this nursery as a baby and I’ve been collecting her on a regular basis. Since she has been able to talk she has always told me about the fun things she has done during the day. The nursery provides exciting activities for the children but you know there’s an element
of learning built in. I’m in no doubt that my granddaughter is more advanced in her learning due to the years she has spent at nursery. She speaks fondly of all the staff and other children and looks forward to going each day. When she starts school later this year she is really going to miss coming here along with the staff and friends she has made.

My daughter started here in March this year, I was so worried as she has been with me everyday until she was two and a half. All members of staff were so welcoming to both of us. My daughter has settled in full time now and absolutely loves it! She tells me every day what she has been up to and always
talks about the girls who take care of her, especially one member of staff. It’s so nice to know she is part of such a friendly environment where she is clearly being stimulated constantly as her speech and development has come on so much in such a short space of time. I cannot thank the staff enough for everything they do for her to make her happy. Seeing her go in with a smile on her face every morning, clearly shows she is so comfortable which in turn leaves me feeling comfortable too. Thank you so much guys, what a fantastic team you are!

My little boy has been here since February 2021 and I can’t believe how much he’s learnt and grown within himself by the help of the amazing workers in the nursery. From understanding his speech wasn’t great, to sending me pictures of him through the day of him playing, I feel so understood by this
nursery and know my boy is in the best possible hands to learn and grow when he’s at this nursery. I will be forever grateful and I can’t wait to see what else he gets up to whilst he’s here! Thank you for everything you’ve done for us and what you continue to do for my son.

My son came here for three years, loved coming every day.
He bonded with staff the first time he came when he was 18-months-old. I personally feel they try very hard to make the children feel welcome and comfortable in every session.
I was very happy with the care my son received. If I had another
child, I would definitely bring them here.
