Welcome to Kids Planet Poulton! The team are proud to share that they received their second Ofsted Outstanding in recognition of their Outstanding practice in ALL areas (October 2019, previous January 2016). A new framework was launched in September 2019 and as one of the first nurseries to be inspected under this more rigorous framework, this is an amazing achievement. Ofsted found the staff team’s teaching to be inspirational. The team have exceptionally high expectations for children and model exemplary behaviour and manners to each other and the children. They couldn’t be more delighted that Ofsted couldn’t praise the children highly enough. The children in their care are respectful, kind, inclusive and confident, as well as curious and play remarkably well together.

Our son has been attending Kids Planet Poulton since April 2024 from being 6 months old.
Kids Planet Poulton is amazing- I can't recommend them enough. From day 1 they have made us feel very welcome and my little boy settled into nursery so quickly with a smile at the end of the day, which was absolutely
down to the care, attention, and focus on him. Every morning and evening you are greeted with smiling faces and they really do seem to love their jobs. Kids Planet Poulton is a very special place. Thank you for everything.

I couldn't ask for a better nursery for our little girl. She walks in daily with a huge smile on her face and excited to see the staff. Her confidence has grown so much and her development has excelled since attending here. It's such a pleasure to pick her up at the end of the day knowing she's had

We couldn’t ask for a better nursery for our little one. As first-time parents, it’s always hard putting the care of your child into someone else’s hands but the nursery are always so welcoming. I think the staff are amazing, it does feel like a second home for my daughter, who has a few strong bonds with some of the staff. They are always enthusiastic, supportive and caring it’s a lovely happy environment. The effort and attention that the staff dedicate to each child is outstanding.
The
decoration of the nursery is great and the interactive tables are always imaginative and engaging.
The outdoor space is relaxing and fun!
I would recommend this nursery to all.

Fabulous nursery. Supportive of my two boys in attendance. Staff try very hard to give the most personal experience possible. My boys run off every morning very happy to be there.

I can't recommend this Nursery enough! All the staff are so welcoming and friendly. My little boy absolutely loves going there and doesn't want to come home when I go pick him up. Having regular updates on what he has been up to during the day is great. I would highly recommend sending your little ones
to Kids Planet Poulton! The staff in the baby room are always so happy and are amazing with my little boy. Even though he is in the baby room everyone in the whole nursery knows who he is and are happy to talk when I go drop him off and pick him up.

What a fantastic nursery, the staff are all brilliant and so passionate about what they do and making a difference, it really shows! Our daughter is nearly 1 now and started at around 8 months at just 1 day a week which we have now increased to 2 as she loves her days here so much! The updates are great
seeing pictures of what she's been up to and eaten that day. Thank you! The baby room feels very home from home which feels a lovely environment.

My daughter has only been at nursery for 6 weeks, starting just after she turned 7 months old. I was initially really worried about her immediately starting on 4 full days per week, especially with being a young baby, but the care she receives is exceptional, and already, I have huge trust levels in
all the staff. My daughter is already advancing after such a short space of time, and she gets really excited every morning when she realises she is in the car park about to go in! I love the app for updates on how shes doing throughout the day, and how you can tell the staff genuinely care about all the babies they look after. I'd recommend this nursery to all my friends

The most amazing nursery and staff who treat the children like their own. My twins have been coming since they were 9 months and nursery days are their favourite days of the week, they never want to come home.
Always updated with what they're doing/eating throughout the day via the app.

Both my girls go to Kids Planet Poulton, one in the baby room and the other in preschool. I can honestly say I have been so impressed with all the staff in both rooms. They are always happy to chat at the end of the day when picking up my children and go into detail on what they have been doing for
the day. This provides me with an enormous amount of comfort and genuinely feel that they take the time to know the children. My youngest has only been attending for 4 weeks in the baby room and I already feel like they know her well. What she likes, what she dislikes, how to deal with her little tantrums. My eldest has been attending the nursery for almost 2 years now and has grown so much in confidence. This is all thanks to the wonderful staff at Kids Planet Poulton. Thank you!

Every week I can go to work knowing my son is in safe hands and he has such a great time. To see how much he has grown from when he first started is incredible! Every member of the staff there are absolutely great and always puts my son and me at ease. Could not recommend more!

My daughter is now 3 and a half and has been at Kids Planet Paulton (formerly Poppy & Jack's) since she was 15 months old. She absolutely loves nursery, she loves the staff and, although she can be shy, has really come out of her shell and made many friends. When she was younger she would be upset when
I left her, but the staff always reassured me she was absolutely fine after no time at all. Now she happily goes in to see her friends and all the staff. Her learning has come on leaps and bounds since moving into pre-school. My younger daughter will be starting soon and although she is very attached to me, I know she is in very capable and loving hands.

My boy has been going to Kids Planet since he was 6 months, he is now 2 and a half, and I can proudly say that the staff that work there are incredibly helpful!
He cries going in every morning, the staff always reassures me that after 5 minutes of being there, he is happy - this is also seen in photographs
they upload on the app.

Ellena Tattersall

Job Title: Nursery Manager

I have worked in childcare since May 2016 and have been at the nursery for 8 and a half years, starting as an apprentice and gaining experience with all age groups. When I was younger, I grew up dancing and taking part in pantomimes, where I also enjoyed helping to teach, especially the little ones.
I hold a Diploma in Dance, a Diploma in Health and Social Care, and a Level 3 qualification in Childcare. I am also fully Paediatric First Aid qualified and a certified Designated Safeguarding Lead.
Working with children and babies has always been my passion. I love being part of their journey as they learn, grow, and experience exciting ‘firsts.’ Building strong relationships with children and their families is incredibly special to me, and I find it truly rewarding to support and nurture them every step of the way.
