Bright Horizons Crouch End Day Nursery & Preschool is near Crouch Hill overground station and just off the A1201.

They offer care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years and are open from 7.30am – 6.30pm.

The nursery features two large rooms, which gives the children many opportunities to explore. All the facilities are designed with every age group in mind. The well-qualified team of highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced staff work together to provide a well-balanced programme of fun activities and learning experiences, within a carefully planned curriculum with Bright Horizons' unique Ready for School programme.

Fostering an enjoyment of early literacy and maths, with Growing Readers, Writers and Mathematicians Enhancements, helps children to recognise letters, words and numbers in their environment.

Our daughter attended this nursery and we couldn't have been happier during her time there. The staff were great and very knowledgeable. The facilities are really clean, spacious and professional.
We were so pleased to see our daughter getting involved in a wide range of activities and she would come
home and sing and say new words all the time! Lastly, the food served to the children is delicious and there's a nice variety of healthy meals, which our daughter loved. The chef is very good and creative. I would highly recommend it.

I am currently attending Crouch End Day Nursery and Preschool with my second child. We were very happy with the care of our first boy so we decided to return. It's a lovely nursery with great outdoor space. The staff is friendly and caring, they plan and offer a range of activities for the children
every day. The management team is supportive and happy to help when needed. We are so pleased with the care that we decided to increase the sessions.

Our two daughters both attended this nursery from a young age and we have been pleased from the very beginning. The staff are professional, kind and have been consistent throughout their time there. We experienced the baby room through to preschool and our daughters have developed and thrived under
their care. Communication is regular, the setting is lovely and their children's days are varied. The hours and the availability through term time, is a great help too and a big selling point over some other options in the area. We are sad to be leaving (only due to leaving London) and would recommend this nursery setting to any parents considering their options.

Very impressed with how the staff has welcomed my son who is just 14 months old and how they settled him in. My son comes home singing songs. A very well done to this group of staff. I will definitely recommend Bright Horizons Day Nursery and Pre School, Crouch End.

Lovely nursery, with knowledgeable and caring staff who supported my husband and I through the settling in of our 17-month-old son. The outdoor area is great and our little boy seems very happy. We are glad we chose this nursery.

My daughter has been attending preschool for the last nine months. She has speech and language issues, due to one-sided profound deafness since birth. During this time, the management and the staff have been incredibly helpful and supportive in assisting her learning and accommodating her needs. They
have shown love and understanding to my daughter and she loves the nursery. The staff have also facilitated her needs further, by requesting special educational needs and disability teachers, to come on-site to help their understanding of how to provide further support for my daughter.

We have attended our nursery for about 15 months and cannot thank the management and staff for their hard work, dedication to our child and total professionalism at all times. We had a challenging few months with a medical condition but our nursery embraced it with amazing energy and care. We are eternally
grateful to them for their active part in our child's return to full health. 10/10. You cannot improve on perfection.

My children are really happy at the nursery and have attended for over three years.
The staff work hard and really care about the children, often making a huge effort to ensure their wellbeing.
I am very pleased with the wide range of healthy food available and with the various activities scheduled
every day to engage and stimulate the children.
I feel very privileged to send my children to such a well managed and organised childcare provider. It will be a sad day when my youngest child graduates.

Our son and then our daughter both attended the nursery and preschool from the age of 12 months to shortly before starting school and we would thoroughly recommend it. The room staff are wonderful, particularly in preschool, and our children thrived in their care. The setting is really convenient and
the lovely garden and huge sandpit are such a bonus. I would, however, echo another reviewer's comment about the inconsistency in staffing maternity leave, leavers and management, particularly in 2020. The interim/acting managers did a difficult job in a challenging situation but I wonder if they received the support they needed from more senior management. The new managers had only been in post for a few months before we left but things seemed to have been improving on that front.

On the whole, we've had a mainly positive experience with our son at the nursery over the past 18 months. The staff are warm and nurturing but the turnover is quite high which is a shame and we never quite know who is in charge as the office/management staff also changes a lot. The care of the children
is great overall, but the communication, particularly surrounding closures due to potentially positive staff Covid cases, has been patchy and often quite delayed. This nursery has been closed more than any other the past few months and the tests came back negative so it has been unnecessary stress and disruption for the children and parents.

My child is currently in the preschool room and enjoys coming into nursery in the mornings.
The staff in the preschool room are lovely and attentive towards the children and activities are well planned and based on the children's interests.
The new management team are very friendly and always on
hand to help where needed.
The nursery has a large outdoor space for the children to play and explore.

A brilliant nursery with an amazing staff team. Activities are well thought of and the learning is evident. Staff are very attentive and have an amazing bond with my son. Management is excellent and very easily contactable. I would recommend this nursery to anyone looking!

My son enjoys nursery. This is our main focus that he loves to go, learn and play. The staff are helpful and generally experienced with all areas of child development. We have found inconsistency in staffing maternity leave, leavers and management has created some ups and down in routine and general
direction. It's always recovered well but we do see the changes reflected in comms and occasionally behaviour change in our son. Food is good although so heavy with carbs and disappointed to see pudding still served daily.

My child has been in this nursery for almost a year now (started at 13 months) and she is very settled and loves nursery days. Her nursery workers are caring and engage her in the many interesting activities during the day. It has been more challenging with the pandemic as we are minimising contact
at drop off and pick up, however, I always get a little verbal report on how my child’s day has been. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone thinking of sending their child here.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

Maria's journey in childcare began over 25 years ago, and for the past 15 years, she has been part of Bright Horizons, gradually growing into a leadership role.


Since the doors of Crouch End Day Nursery and Preschool first opened more than a decade ago, it has been a place where she has dedicated herself to creating a safe, happy, and nurturing environment for children.


She is deeply passionate about her work and believes that every child should feel heard, valued, and supported. Alongside her team and through meaningful experiences, she strives to help children grow into confident and curious individuals.


Outside of work, she is a proud mother to two young boys, and most of her time is spent making memories with them. When she finds a moment for herself, she recharges through music and dance or by planning the next family adventure.

Amelia

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Amelia is the Deputy Manager at Crouch End Day Nursery and Preschool. She began her journey in childcare in 2016 and joined Bright Horizons in 2019 as a member of the bank staff. Since then, Amelia has had the pleasure of growing within the company and embracing each role along the way.


She is truly passionate about early childhood education and feels privileged to be part of each child’s learning journey. During her time at the setting, Amelia has also earned her Level 3 SENDCo qualification, which has strengthened her ability to support all children’s development. Creating a nurturing, inclusive, and inspiring environment is at the heart of everything she does.
