My son has attending Turtles for 3 years, since he was 8 months old. He loves the setting, and adores the staff! The opportunities that they provide to support his development are always the best! He has been supported through all milestones so greatly by the whole team! The management of the setting
is fantastic, always going above and beyond to create new ideas and bring to life parents suggestions. We love Turtles and would be our first recommendation to any families looking for childcare in the area!

Honestly we couldn't ask for more. The nursery feels like home away from home. Our kid loves going there. They have an arrange of activities organised each day and the meals are really homie too. The staff is amazing and really love what they do. We couldn't ask for more really.

Turtles is extraordinary. My kids are always happy to go, the staff is always careful, attentive and kind to both the kids and parents. They are so good at what they do... We are very lucky that our kids go there. We had the opportunity to move our eldest to a school nursery and decided not to despite
the obvious financial advantages that would bring. World class.

Loving and caring staff which is always on display. My daughter loves going in and really enjoys herself. The updates from staff are brilliant too, which makes me feel more included in what my child is doing on any given day.

My daughter joined Turtles a year ago aged 10 months. She loves going to nursery and we have been delighted with Turtles. The staff are all great - the place clearly has a lovely culture and we have a high level of trust in the staff. They do lots of different activities with the children, including
guests who come in to run sports and theatre sessions. They also go on lots of little trips in the local area. Communication is really good - both via the app and through conversations at pick up and drop off. My daughter recently had a bit of a tricky period emotionally following some illnesses, and they were fabulous in supporting her (and us!) through it.

I cannot speak more highly of Turtles! My daughter started attending in November 2020 and from that moment, her speech, confidence and social skills grew drastically. The staff are extremely committed to the children, and the nurseries flexibility and excellent communication make a brilliant partnership
with the parents and the nursery. My daughter's key worker has gone above and beyond to look after, encourage and teach her. If you are thinking about putting your child into Turtles care, you shouldn’t think twice. The location is fantastic, and the hours are so helpful for working parents. Thank you, Turtles!

My son settled extremely well, and the staff were very welcoming. The outdoor area is a big plus. The online platform used is very convenient and effective for communicating and receiving updates about your child's daily activities. There are plenty of activities and development steps according to the
child's age, and it was wonderful to see my child grow in confidence in most areas including how to hold the pencil correctly, safely use a pair of children's scissors and various other arts and crafts.
The staff are very friendly, engaging and accommodating.
I would highly recommend the nursery, in my opinion.

My daughter has been attending since August 2020 at age 3, an extremely confusing time to start in the middle of the pandemic, but the staff have been fantastic and so supportive. What I like in particular is the feedback both verbally but also via photos and the online communication hub, which helps
you feel part of their day.
My daughter loves it here and will miss everyone when it’s time for big school, saying that the staff are doing well in preparing her to start in September. Thanks, Turtles!

I’m the father of a 2-year-old who recently joined Turtles. The staff were very warm and welcoming and made the settling in period amazingly smooth.
There are lots of interesting new activities and parents are kept up to date well with the children’s activities.
Management was very accommodating
of some last-minute requests I made and the long opening hours (8:00-18:00hrs) are great for working parents.

Turtles Nursery was a true second home for our daughter. When she joined she was one and a half years old, who just came from a different country. Very soon she started feeling like a happy and calm individual exploring the world with all the lovely guardians at Turtles Nursery and her friends. I really
can not thank you enough for all the love and care we received at Turtles. I strongly recommend Turtles Nursery.

My son has attended Turtles Nursery since he was 10 months old, he is now 2 and a half and has always been so happy there.
The staff are friendly, kind and nurturing.
The space is always so thoughtfully set up with different play areas and themes so it is a fantastic, cosy, interesting space for
little ones to explore.
They have a nice outside area and I know they try to give the children lots of play time there (weather permitting) which I think is really important.
Overall we are super happy with Turtles and I would definitely recommend it!

Turtles exceeded our expectations.
Our son joined just after his second birthday, and the transition from staying home all day and being an only child to bring an independent little hun was remarkable.
Turtles fully supported us from day one, with regular reviews and daily feedback.
He felt at
home at Turtles, he was cared for and happy, and that’s all a mother wants! I actually feel happy and safe when’s he there, and I know he’s having a great time with all the genuinely caring, happy staff. I was very apprehensive about sending him to the nursery; now I wish I done it sooner!

I am very happy with Turtles Nursery as it provides a wonderful environment for our child and nurtures overall development. My child is very happy going to the nursery (attending since December 2018). The staff are very cheerful and caring. All aspects of child care are well managed. I am always confident
that she is in a happy and secure place while I am at work.

It was a wonderful experience to have my child spending four years at this nursery. I feel happy because my child has developed well, he likes the nursery. It is a good place for him and other children.
The transition from nursery to preschool was smooth and filled with support from the key person
at the nursery.
I am fully satisfied with all the feedback, resources and opportunities provided to us while my son was at the nursery. I hope the best for all the children and my child will miss this nursery so much.

Our son has been there for only one year but he has learnt so much for a 3-year old! They have one-to-one time every morning with their key person and the improvement in his writing, reading etc is impressive. It is a very central location so there is not much space for the kids but I think the nursery
is doing a good job with what they have and what is important is that my son has learnt quickly how to tidy up even his plate after meals, has improved his English (spoken, written, read) and is very self-confident and interested in the activities they have to offer. I would recommend this nursery as a good preparation for big school, I don’t have any experience for the baby stage though so can only talk about the room for the older children!

Our daughter went to Turtles Nursery every morning from 17 months old until 32 months old when we left London.
Her development throughout this time was impressive. We speak Spanish at home, but she is able to understand questions and songs in English without a problem and that is all fruitful of her
time at Turtles, where they mostly talked to her in English, even though they do have Spanish speaking caregivers.
There were always different kind activities for the kids, they would paint and draw, craft decorations for related holidays, and learn about traditions from the different cultures all the kids came from.
They set topics depending on the time of the year, this provides the kids a context they can learn about through the activities. The topics could be songs, real-life professions, and artists.
The caregivers are lovely and caring, providing feedback on a daily basis plus a periodic catch up with the key person to talk about specific areas of the child's development.
Thanks Turtles!

This is one of the best nurseries in the city. The director is such a wonderful person and are staff are highly professional and excellent in child care.

When I did my masters at the City law school in 2015 the director and her fantastic team made studying very easy for me as I need not worry about

care for my boys. She was very helpful and flexible and this met my needs as a student.

My boys were looked after and enjoyed coming to the nursery. The director and her team are very hardworking and dedicated in ensuring that childcare is given at its best. They have always maintained a high standard of care and that is why I am happy to come back to Turtle nursery after 3years.

I am so excited my 1-year-old is starting in September 2018. This is an excellent nursery and I will highly recommend it to families, friends and colleagues.

My three year old started the nursery two months ago and he settled in very well. He is learning new songs, shapes and making friends. The staff are friendly and the outside play area is well used, given the amount of space Central London has to offer.

Initially, I was apprehensive and a little anxious about returning to work before my son was a year old. But from the moment I went to see Turtles with my husband, my mind was instantly put at ease. The staff are amazing and our son's key worker really worked with him to settle him and reassure me.
He was always bringing home art and learned so much in a few short months. I would recommend Turtles wholeheartedly as it is an oasis of calm for children in the heart of the West End. I was pleasantly surprised by how much time the children get to spend outdoors.

Current Review Score: 9.0 (8.959)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.0 (8.959) out of 10 for Turtles Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 4 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.0 out of 5 from 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.917 for Turtles Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (45 Excellents x 5) + (2 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 48 Ratings = 4.917
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.042 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Turtles Nursery is based on 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.375
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 30 number of registered child places is 6. 4 Positive Reviews ÷ 6 = 0.667
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
