Clarence House Ely

Highly recommend Clarence House, especially if your little one is joining from the baby room! Our boy's experience has been so positive from the outset and couldn't ask for anything more. Friendly staff, open ended play/learning, well presented rooms, tax free childcare and funded hours and very reasonable prices.

Brilliant nursery.

We're amazed by how many songs she learned and how much she enjoyed making friends. Clarence House is reasonably priced compared to other local nurseries but with no compromise on quality. The staff's commitment makes it a wonderful place. We couldn't be happier with our experience, and our daughter's joy says it all.

We have two children at Clarence House - one in the toddler room and one in pre-school, although our children started in the baby room and toddler room respectively. We have nothing but positive things to say. The staff go above and beyond to connect with the children individually and provide a very high level of care. They really are amazing! There's a great focus on learning and developing different skills but in really fun ways that engage the children. Both our children continue to thrive and love going to nursery and have formed great friendships there.

Sadly, some parents are put off by the location and those parents miss out on the most loving nursery in Ely.

Absolutely Amazing little nursery. Staff go above and beyond to comfort, care and nurture my 2 children. It is clear that the staff put a lot of time and effort into all the children and all of the fun planned activities, mine especially love going to the nursery and they come home thriving! I had a lot of anxiety around putting my children into nursery, especially my youngest who was only 10 months old at the time, the care that baby room gave my son and continues to give him is heartwarming and I will be forever grateful to them.

He has learnt so much. He isn’t even 2 years old and he knows all the music and nursery chimes and dances to them all

I have not had 1 problem in the 7 years my children have been going.

My son has been attending this nursery since he was 1 and it’s been the best start for him. The staff are friendly and approachable and my little boy adores all of them. He’s about to finish preschool and he’s learnt so much from all his teachers. I could’ve placed him in a better place. Highly recommend.

My wife and I have been very happy with the quality of care provided to our toddler by Clarence House, Ely. Our daughter has been with them since she was one year old. She is now three. The staff at Clarence House are excellent. They are warm and friendly, and our daughter really loves them and enjoys going to nursery. There is a community spirit and a sense that they really care. They are good people there, and it really has helped our daughter thrive and grow.

We chose this nursery due to the proximity from our house. It is a small and cosy nursery with a perfect number of kids, especially the baby room. Baby room is not overcrowded, every member of staff is absolutely amazing - they look after our little one so well, she made huge progress in terms of social interactions and she is much more confident than she used to be. Despite the fact that she is still a non-walking baby, she gets included in everything. I am extremely excited that we found Clarence House and that our girl is attending the baby room!

My daughter started at Clarence House in January, she’s coming on leaps and bounds with all aspects of learning and speech! I would definitely recommend to people, they have so many activities and always listen to the parents! 10/10

The Nursery have been fantastic with my little one, the wide range of activities have helped his development and confidence. I can’t praise them enough. The baby room staff really helped him settle in and now he loves going to nursery and walks in with a smile.

As a mother of my first child I could not be happier of Clarence House Ely! Since day one nurses in the baby room have been absolutely amazing, caring, supportive and very flexible, you can tell they love their job! My son in the baby room since he was 10 months old, has been thriving and learning a lot and he comes back home ever so chatty, with new songs and new skills that he likes showing off with confidence. They engage in a lot of different activities from sensory play, play role, arts and crafts, singing, as well as independent playing. I enjoy the fact that the nursery has a neutral and calming outlook, no flashy toys or overstimulating environment, just perfect! It is smaller than average so kids receive a high level of attention and care and yet it is very diverse and nurses are willing to go the extra mile to facilitate cultural diversity, for instance with bilingual children like my son, by learning some Italian words! Also a very convenient location in our case!

We have been very happy with Clarence House Day Nursery. The manager is fantastic, the staff are caring and competent. The children are loved and encouraged. We send our son there because it is good for his development and my sanity, we get regular photos of him having a whale of a time. Our daughter is now at school but she spent years there and made some fantastic friends. She settled so well into school, largely due to the self-confidence and good start in life that the staff at Clarence House gave her. It's definitely not the largest or flashiest of nurseries but it has everything it needs and the parking is ideal! The staff make it fun and safe for the children and I appreciate the hard work they put in. Another plus point is the diversity of the families that send their children there.

One of the things that really stood out above all other nurseries in the area is they are far more flexible and accommodating to your needs when you need childcare last minute. There's obviously no guarantee of availability but they have, in my opinion, always tried their best and gone beyond what is expected. We have been very happy with the friendliness of the staff and the way they form close connections with our kids. In fact, we were so happy with the nursery for our first child that our second child has recently started there. They are good at giving you a rundown of how the day has gone and how much sleep and food your child has had. Our kids come back very happy and have made good friends at nursery. It has also been really nice to get to know the other parents. For me, this nursery is highly recommended. One area for improvement is the camera used for photos on the app could be of higher quality. Other than that we are very happy and thank you so much for all that you do.
