My Ohana York Nursery

I took a long maternity leave (16 months) and really struggled with the idea of leaving my daughter with anyone other than my husband. The transition back to work was hard for me and I missed her so much. The staff were so understanding and really looked after my daughter (and me!) through the transition, allowing me to gently integrate her into her (and my) new routine, they kept me updated on the app so I still felt a part of her day and connected plus always have time for me at the start and the end of the day to chat about her and her activities. The manager and room leader are absolutely wonderful, I know my daughter is in kind, caring hands and also helping her develop well. I love the fact she gets plenty of outdoor time too!

We couldn't be happier. Our little boy has been at this nursery for nearly two years. He has flourished in that time and runs excitedly into nursery every morning. He has some food allergies which the staff have handled brilliantly. All staff are warm, welcoming and caring. We have peace of mind while we are at work, knowing he is well taken care of.

My little girl absolutely loves going to My Ohana, since starting she's becoming more of an independent and confident little girl. The staff members are all lovely, very friendly and welcoming. I would 100% recommend this nursery.

This nursery is absolutely amazing, my son loves going and doing all the exciting activities. All the staff are amazing, friendly, caring and lovely to chat with. I couldn't think of anywhere better. The place looks tidy and clean the rooms look amazing for the children, and the outside area is amazing the nursery definitely has every for a child.

My daughter has been at the nursery since she was nine months old and she has loved every second! My daughter has a fantastic key worker, helping her progress at every stage of her development. My daughter has always struggled with eating, the staff have been excellent encouraging her to try new things and not pressuring her. We couldn't have asked for a nicer setting and have always felt so confident that she is getting the best care possible.

My child loves to go to the nursery for the day and it's sometimes difficult to get her to leave. The staff are warm and caring and I'm always happy to leave my child in their care. I'm happy with the services and would recommend them to other parents.

I'm very happy because my daughter enjoys My Obana she's happy and she learn many things, staff are amazing. Will recommend for everyone to enjoy at My Obama day nursery! I'm proud of my girl how she enjoyed it and she learnt a lot of things there!

Now she enjoys nursery time so much and is very happy to say bye-bye to mom every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Our child has attended this nursery for over a year now and we are extremely happy with the level or care and services the nursery provide. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming each day and provide updates on what they have been doing throughout the day and how they've got on. We would highly recommend this nursery and look forward to many more happy years with them.

They do great activities and prepare children for school. The nursery also celebrate the cultures of the children within the nursery and around the world which is great. The nursery uses an app which is really good throughout the day, to see how your children are doing especially when a bit smaller.

My daughter is 3 and has attended here since 11 months old. She has gotten on well with all the staff in each room as she has progressed. She missed a fair bit of time due to lockdown as did many others but nursery handled it all really well and kept all the parents informed at every step and the weekly social media story time was a definite winner in our house.

The pricing is very reasonable in comparison to other nurseries in the area. The children are clearly well entertained all day long and my daughter is always worn out when she gets home.

My little boy has been at this nursery for the last year. He has absolutely flourished in that time because of the dedication of the staff. They are all very encouraging and he is always surprising us with new things he has clearly learned at nursery - just this week he has read every number in a book at home correctly from 1 to 10 at 23 months old, we couldn't believe it! He has a fantastic bond with the staff and will happily run into the nursery with a wave and a smile. The rooms have lovely and interesting resources which he loves to explore and we get frequent updates throughout the day on the parent app including pictures of him enjoying himself. The nursery has also been really good at accommodating all his needs, he has food allergies and has to have medication at nursery and I never have any worries about that as they are completely on top of it. They always go over and above our expectations and I recommend them to everyone.

Activities are varied including stretch and grow, yoga and swimming as well as lots of creative activities. Staff went above and beyond during lockdown organising a private Facebook group where games, activities and daily story readings were uploaded and a weekly Zoom call for all children. The arrangements for returning were exceptionally well planned and communicated with clear empathy for the change children have been through. As a parent, it has been invaluable to have a place where I know my child is so well looked after, and I would strongly recommend this nursery to others.

This team provide outstanding education and care, having helped develop our daughter over the past year. Greeting our daughter at the end of a long day spent with this team makes the pain of leaving her there in the morning worthwhile. She is delighted to tell you about what she’s done and the fun she’s had. She’s so bubbly and bright in dementor that you can’t help forget work and enjoy the precious time. Amazingly beneficial.

A delightful, warm nursery. Despite the best efforts of the staff to keep in contact and produce online content during their COVID-19 closure, there was no substitute for being there in person. Our little one has been overjoyed to return to his friends, the staff and their many activities. Would recommend to everyone.

Our son has attended this nursery since he was about six months old and is now sadly about to leave to start school in September. Our experience throughout his time at the nursery has been exceptional. The staff clearly care about the children and, despite the inevitable wobbles, our son has really enjoyed his time there. His favourite activity has to be "Stretch and Grow". Other activities include swimming and tennis with coaches from the gym nearby as well as language classes. We have also benefited from the convenience - everything is provided and all you really need to take in on a regular basis is a change of clothes - and support with weaning and toilet training. Their response to the recent pandemic has also been outstanding. They set up a Facebook group, with regular posts, including stories from key members of staff, and held zoom meetings with the children to keep in touch. We also really appreciated them hosting our son's birthday on the children's' return to nursery after lockdown.

The team at this nursery have been fantastic during the lockdown period. The managers and many of the members of staff (despite some of them being furloughed) have provided a weekly zoom call to stay in touch with the children. It was fantastic for my son to keep in touch to see his friends (his age) and his friends (staff!) so that the return to nursery was not too daunting. The extra steps which have had to be put in place seemed a little strange on day one but the team have done everything possible to make it as normal as possible for the children. We loved the video of how the new arrival system works and how the rooms are set up so we could show it to our son so he knew what to expect on the first day. He has loved his first week back which has made it easier for us. Would definitely recommend this nursery.

My little boy started back at the nursery (originally started in February) on Monday and I could not be happier with how well the nursery have managed the 'new normal.' They are organised and efficient and do their absolute best to make sure handover is smooth and supportive for parents and children. The rooms are beautifully resourced and the team are knowledgable and caring. My little boy loves it! I am so pleased we chose this setting as the place to help us nurture our little boy.
