Our daughter joined My Ohana from another setting in January 2026. The team at My Ohana have worked really hard to help her settle in and after only a small number of sessions our daughter was happy to attend nursery. She has formed strong bonds with the My Ohana team and some other children and
we're kept up to date with her day to day activities through the use of the app as well as a full debrief from the My Ohana team when collecting her. Activities seem to be varied and our daughter has had some noticeable developments since attending.

We couldn't be happier with our experience at this nursery. From day one (nearly2.5 years ago!), the staff have been warm, welcoming, and incredibly professional. Their experience really shows - our little one settled in so quickly and is always happy and smiling at drop-off and pick-up. The care
and attention given to her is admirable. It's clear that the team genuinely love what they do, and it creates such a nurturing, safe, and fun environment. Communication is great too - we're always kept in the loop (love their app) and love keeping tabs about our child's day and play.
Our child is thriving here - calm, confident, and happy. We're so grateful to have found such a special place. The manager & her entire team are doing a terrific job at helping to bring up the tiny tots. A five-star nursery - highly recommended!

Unfortunately, my daughter didn't have a good experience there due to the staff's stress towards the kids to keep them in their routine by shouting at them or snapping things out their hands. The app that they provide is also not practical or well update by staff.

My son loves coming to My Ohana and I am so happy with how well he's settled in. The staff are amazingly supportive and he learns so much in a safe and friendly environment. All the staff are lovely and friendly and I have no concerns with anything.

My Ohana York provide an overall excellent environment in which my child can learn, develop, and grow. There is always a wide range of activities for the children to engage in; whether that be physical - (outdoor play, dexterity, balance etc), or mental - (games, reading, recognition, etc)
activities. The nursery provide a safe space for the children to socialise and learn new skills; the nursery has its own outdoor area with a range of engaging toys, play areas, and outbuildings that my child absolutely loves. The staff are all incredibly friendly, welcoming, and engaging with both the parents and the children, and we couldn't ask for more.

The Staff at My Ohana are lovely and great. I've had/have two children go to My Ohana York and both with additional needs, both with completely different personalities, abilities and needs, and they have been so great with both of them and always being there supporting them. They are quick to
contact you if anything is wrong. They are easy to get into contact with and discuss anything. They are so nice and helpful. Lots of activities for the children. Seems a safe and clean environment. The children always come first. Management and all staff are fantastic. Couldn't recommend enough.

A very welcoming nursery, a place where I can leave my son with peace of mind, knowing that he will be safe and happy. My son loves going there, and I am very grateful for this time that he can enjoy with everyone.

We can't fault the care that is given to our child. The team are very friendly, and convey what has been happening throughout the day.
Our child enjoys their time at nursery and certainly can't wait to get back the following day!

Absolutely amazing nursery with wonderful caring staff. The nursery senco has been wonderful, and so supportive. We as a family feel so lucky to have had her support in these early years of education.

A brilliant nursery, my 6 year old attended a few years ago and his confidence grew and staff was amazing, now my youngest son attends 2 days a week and I honestly can't thank the staff enough, my son's confidence has grown tremendously and he is now able to say some words which he couldn't do
before. I've been given advice on help to support my son at home with his speech and told what works best for him in nursery. It is a fun and safe environment and my son is always happy and loves his nursery setting and staff. Big shout out to 2 staff members in particular, great women and are my son's safe space.

My little girl is in Poppies, she loves it there and I feel happy leaving her knowing she's looked after really well by the staff there. It's a lovely nursery with friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere.

Our son has been at My Ohana York Nursery since he turned 1, at 3 and a half now he has loved nursery since the start. The transitions have been excellent and every age group the staff have been fabulous, getting to know him and working at his level to help him progress.

My grandson has been attending for over 18 months now. He goes in happily every morning and he really enjoys his time at nursery. It's clear to see all his needs are met to a high standard. All the staff do an amazing job.

My little girl attends My Ohana Nursery 1 day a week, she started in Poppies the baby room in April 2024, she has since moved up to the Buttercups toddler room. I get regular updates throughout the day of what my little girl has been up to, what she has eaten, slept and her nappies. I also get to
see where she is in her development too. All the staff in the setting are so welcoming, loving and kind. The nursery manager and assistant manager are amazing if you have any queries or problems they are more than happy to help.
I would recommend this nursery to anyone who is looking for childcare. I'm so happy my little girl goes to this nursery, she loves all the staff and goes in running in the morning.

I’ve always found our My Ohana York Nursery nursery and their team to be welcoming, approachable and friendly!
Last year, (April 2023), I was expecting a baby. The nursery was fantastic at this stage and had a little doll for my son to play with, preparing my son for becoming a big brother and
preparing him as much as possible for the arrival of a baby in the house, which is a massive change for a toddler who’s just turned 2!
The nursery and its team were fantastic and I definitely feel this helped him with the huge transition of becoming a big brother.
He was actually at nursery the day I had my daughter so he attended nursery that day and returned home as big brother, the team had prepared my son for this and it definitely made the welcome home a lot easier for all of us.
My son loves going to nursery. When we go and collect him in the evening he’s always busy playing and has a smile on his face!
I would definitely recommend My Ohana York Nursery to anyone.

My child loves coming into nursery every day after a rocky start at a previous nursery. The staff have been great at helping him to get settled and are getting to know his interests and stages of development really well. The nursery is a welcoming environment and all of the staff are so friendly,
everyone greets him with a smile and enthusiasm. Staff are great at providing brief updates during the day (not too many or few). The children get regular time outside and the activities indoors are varied.

Although my daughter doesn't always like attending nursery I think it's only because she doesn't like leaving her parents but I know that she is in safe hands and the workers are always so understanding. They always say I can ring to see if my child is OK but I know she is fine and loves spending
the day at nursery. I cannot fault how they are and they are all very professional. Well done.

My son has been going to My Ohana for nearly two years and I can honestly say it is the best setting.
As a military family, we move on a regular basis so finding a suitable setting can be hard. My Ohana is the best setting we have ever used, I only wish that my eldest could have attended here when
he was younger.
The staff are amazing, it is a home-from-home setting and my son gets excited each day to go. They are always doing something fun, be it painting, small world, messy play etc. Stretch and Grow is his favourite activity.
I was recently told that for his age he is advanced in so many areas and I can only say that it is from the hard-working and caring staff.
The regular updates via the app are brilliant as I can see what he has been up to and eaten during the day, not only is this reassuring but also helps us plan any evening meals/snacks required and any changes into bedtime routines.
Each time we have new families arrive in our military area I highly recommend they visit.

I took a long maternity leave (16 months) and really struggled with the idea of leaving my daughter with anyone other than my husband. The transition back to work was hard for me and I missed her so much. The staff were so understanding and really looked after my daughter (and me!) through the
transition, allowing me to gently integrate her into her (and my) new routine, they kept me updated on the app so I still felt a part of her day and connected plus always have time for me at the start and the end of the day to chat about her and her activities. The manager and room leader are absolutely wonderful, I know my daughter is in kind, caring hands and also helping her develop well. I love the fact she gets plenty of outdoor time too!
