Hungry Caterpillar Day nursery - West Twyford is based within West Twyford Primary School and Children’s Centre. It provides places for children aged 3 months to 5 years and the children's centre location gives families access to a range of services, support and a monthly activity programme.

Outdoor learning is encouraged at every opportunity and children love their regular Superstar sports programme each week, playing in the garden and visiting the school’s extensive play areas which allows them to build their explorations and learning, children enjoy musical movement sessions boogie mites and also take part in yoga and bucket time for their attention and listening, the outdoor environment allows children to broaden their views on the world around them.

The baby room aims to create a sensory experience where they children can use the senses to learn and explore. In the baby room, staff focus on the three prime areas of learning to ensure that children have a good foundation of knowledge to build upon whilst they progress through the nursery.

The nursery places great emphasis on its relationship with families. It wants them to be part of the nursery and keep in close contact with staff. Likewise, staff will make sure that your family is included in nursery life through daily feedback, termly progress reviews and many lovely organised events that you can attend. They also like to invite parents in to lead learning opportunities with the children. The staff at Hungry Caterpillar nursery really do make it the great place it is!
My two children enjoy playing and learning here; it's their second home, and I feel super safe and reassured when I drop them off.

The staff are fantastic and were amazing at helping our daughter settle in.
They ensured she had extra settling sessions to help prepare her as best as possible and continued to work with her confidence and independence.
She now loves going in to see everyone, and I know she has a great time whilst
she is there, which is such a comfort!
The communication by the app is fantastic, and I always know what is going on and what my child has been doing during the day. I love receiving photos of her activities.

I am very satisfied with this nursery and its staff and I recommend it to everyone with confidence. I like the activities that the nursery staff carry out with the children and the children are in good hands and in great safety. It is a very well developed nursery and is suitable for all types of children,
so any child will easily adapt and the staff are very responsible and involved which reassures us, the parents, that our children are cared for and treated properly.

Amazing nursery, my son has developed so much, thanks to the lovely staff. He really enjoys going in. He is being well looked after. We really feel that he is in safe hands. We love their app informing us how our son’s day going.

Great staff and good curriculum. I'm very pleased with my son's progress at West Twyford nursery and I like the Spanish lessons. I'm really hoping he learns Spanish and understands it soon. Aside from that, everything is very good with great staff.

Excellent place, excellent staff, my daughter started in September and the settling was so easy with the help of the staff, now she is happy and she learned a lot of new things in a very short period of time. I recommend the nursery as I can see my daughter is happy. The communication with the manager

We've had both our kids at the nursery, and they both have loved it and have been very happy there.

Our son has joined Hungry Caterpillar West Twyford since 2017. He loves his nursery friends and teachers. The space is not big but they provide lots of activities and playing area including outdoor space. We are happy to see their feedback, now we can check through an app on a daily basis. Before COVID-19,
they have lots of events such as Father's/ Mother’s Day, Halloween and Christmas party. We will miss it.
All staff and teachers are very kind and with positive vibes. Also, the value for money is excellent. We highly recommended.

My 2-year-old son and 4-year-old daughter are attending this nursery happily every day. The staff are loving, energetic and professional. The team works great together and happy. Communication is always great. I feel lucky to have this nursery at my doorstep.

The staff are helpful, friendly and caring of our child. Helping her to learn, explore and have fun. The app is a wonderful tool that the nursery use which updates us throughout the day of how she is getting on, eaten, slept and activities she has enjoyed.

Our son joined the nursery in September/2017, and we couldn't be more grateful to all the employees. All teachers are very kind, always encouraging him. They do different activities every day, math, phonetics, drawings... and the nursery has a wide variety of materials to help children in their development.
They have an outdoor area, with water play during the summer that my son likes a lot. The nursery also has a mobile application where we can receive details of the children, such as what they eat at each meal, and a description of all the activities they will do on the day. My son loves the nursery and says now that he is sad to leave the teachers (since he is now going to the "big school"). We will miss the team and would recommend this nursery to anyone.

Great nursery, would highly recommend! The staff are lovely and very attentive to the children’s needs.
As first-time parents, we were nervous about our son starting nursery, especially with the current pandemic. The staff have answered all our questions and felt us feel at ease.
More importantly,
our son has settled in well with their assistance. He now loves nursery! We are noticing how much he is developing in both his speech/language, attention span, sleep and many more aspects. We also love the updates we get during the day to see how he is getting on.
Sending our son to West Twyford has been such a positive experience, and we know he will continue to thrive there.

Everyone is so polite, caring and understanding. My daughter has learnt so much since going here and we would highly recommend this place. I wish I could have lunch there too as they have a chief that cooks some great dishes. With all they do for us I

The staff are caring, knowledgeable and courteous at all times. My daughter has enjoyed her time at the nursery and trusts the girls that look after her. I.e. When I drop her off and she is upset, the staff reassure her and give her a cuddle.
