Hungry Caterpillar Day nursery - West Twyford is based within West Twyford Primary School and Children’s Centre. It provides places for children aged 3 months to 5 years and the children's centre location gives families access to a range of services, support and a monthly activity programme.

Outdoor learning is encouraged at every opportunity and children love their regular Superstar sports programme each week, playing in the garden and visiting the school’s extensive play areas which allows them to build their explorations and learning, children enjoy musical movement sessions boogie mites and also take part in yoga and bucket time for their attention and listening, the outdoor environment allows children to broaden their views on the world around them.

The baby room aims to create a sensory experience where they children can use the senses to learn and explore. In the baby room, staff focus on the three prime areas of learning to ensure that children have a good foundation of knowledge to build upon whilst they progress through the nursery.

The nursery places great emphasis on its relationship with families. It wants them to be part of the nursery and keep in close contact with staff. Likewise, staff will make sure that your family is included in nursery life through daily feedback, termly progress reviews and many lovely organised events that you can attend. They also like to invite parents in to lead learning opportunities with the children. My son absolutely loves this nursery. The staff is amazing here - they have been brilliant with supporting us during toilet training. They have always put in extra efforts to keep the children happy and engaged. My son learns new things every day and comes back home happy - what more do I need! Having
the ability to track his day via app is also an asset. Besides, the food is freshly cooked, is nutritious and balanced. Kudos to the staff and keep doing the good work.

Friendly and reliable nursery with enthusiastic and caring staff. My daughter enjoys all the activities they provide and I feel she is safe and well cared for. The covered outdoor space makes it accessible to play in all weather. Food is cooked fresh on-site which my child really enjoys.

Amazing staff, both my kids have attended this nursery. The youngest as early as 8/9 months. They have been amazing from day one. The stuff was very understanding with my boy when he started, as was not very easy for him to stay away from me. The app that we are using is very useful, I am informed about everything that is going on, and they do a lot of activities.

The staff at west Twyford nursery do an impeccable job. My daughter has been attending the nursery for 6 months now and I can see the dedication, care and how it’s made a fun environment for the kids and also how comfortable my daughter has become with the staff which makes me feel at ease. Also, the
app is a great asset with being able to see how she is doing at nursery throughout the day and pictures always bring a smile. Honestly, I can’t thank the staff enough as a happy mother who was very anxious in the beginning but is now completely at ease!

Great care and understanding especially during the initial setting phase. Would recommend this nursery to first-time parents. They also have an in-house chef serving fresh food daily. The nursery makes the best out of the available space. There are good parent-teacher interactions.

Firstly, I wish to commend each and every staff member at the West Twyford branch as they provide exceptional service when it comes to the care and development of my child.
Their communication both in person and via the app has been great. I regularly receive updates on how my child is doing over
the course of the day and each member of staff is warm and welcoming during pick up and drop off.
The manager has been exceptional in her professionalism, especially as we had some concerns due to our child being born during the lockdown. She made it clear to us that she would chase things with the necessary people and kept to her word, so a special thank you for that.
The nursery is a healthy environment with a mixture of different children from different backgrounds which I see as being a tremendous benefit in preparing my child for the future.
Keep up the fantastic work you do because it is very much noticed and appreciated!

Very happy with the nursery and the staff. My daughter had a bad experience at her previous nursery but she settled well in a few weeks and is quite excited to go to the nursery every day.

Our and our daughter's experience here at Hungry Caterpillar in West Twyford is simply amazing! I cannot be more proud of the staff for what they are doing and how supportive they are in our daughter's development and learning processes. I can truly see how she is happy about the place, the staff and
all the children around at the nursery. The best feeling is to see her happy and thats just proof of how much effort the staff put into these children's well-being and learning.

I can not recommend the nursery enough. I thank all the staff who work with my son. He’s changed so much in a short time of being with them, as my son started off at a different nursery. He wasn’t happy, crying every time he would go in, as a mum this was so stressful and I also didn’t recognise his
behaviour when dropping him off as it’s so unlike him. Now he is very happy to go in since we changed nursery. He loves being there and always talks about his favourite teacher. They are all amazing and so welcoming when dropping him off. 5* from me.

The nursery offers a great environment and friendly staff who support your child to integrate well into the activities and routines which gives us reassurance as parents and provides comfort when we drop our children off. My daughter particularly loves nursery and she has progressed so much in her physical,
