Located in a former social club, the beautiful Victorian property that is now Hopscotch Eastleigh has been extensively refurbished to provide high-quality childcare. Located directly opposite the central park, and close to the town centre, the nursery has a private car park for easy drop-offs and pick-ups. The team regularly take advantage of the surroundings with trips organised to expand the children's experience within their local area.

When they're not 'out and about', their secure rear garden provides a variety of physical play elements to develop imaginative play. Outdoor play is an important foundation of learning, providing physical development alongside opportunities to explore, and learn how to manage risk. During Spring 2021 they will be creating a second garden, accessed directly from the under-twos area opening up free-flow play opportunities.

Inside, the spacious rooms allow continuous provision and free flow movement, and the amazing team work hard to ensure that all children are engaged with purposeful play so that each and every one of them is supported to develop their full potential. To support this, they work in partnership with parents to ensure that the needs of all families are met. Hopscotch Day Nurseries have been providing exceptional childcare across multiple settings in the Gosport / Fareham area since 2005, and are very proud of the high standard of care they provide. My little girl has been attending Hopscotch Eastleigh since she was 7 months old, she is nearly 2 years old. From her time in the Baby room, through to Waddlers and now going for settle visits to the Toddler room. Since starting, I have been very pleased with her progress and all the activities that
are on offer. The staff provide weekly roundups on the app at the end of the week, so us parents can see the activities the children have been involved in, which I love to see. I am also happy with the balanced and wide variety of food on offer, as this has given her opportunities to try things, she may not necessarily have at home. All the staff have been great with her and are enthusiastic in encouraging her to grow and develop. She absolutely loves Nursery and it is reassuring to know I can go to work and she is happy there. I cannot recommend the Nursery enough. Linda and the management team are so welcoming too. Thank you!

From my experience, it's best to speak directly with your child's key person or use the family app, as this helps to resolve things faster and ensures better communication. Meals are generally good, though there are quite a lot of crackers and similar snacks - more fresh, balanced options would be lovely.
Since the nursery has its own kitchen, a bit more variety and a slightly heartier afternoon meal would make a real difference for children staying all day. Sometimes I notice children crying for longer before being comforted, and usually senior staff step in rather than assistants. Small details like wiping noses or noticing toilet signals could be improved. I appreciate the updates and photos in the app, though a bit more detailed feedback about each child's day would be helpful. Overall, I trust the team and can see that they care, but a little more consistency and attention to detail would make the experience even better.

My children have always liked this nursery. The array of activities , great and varied menu and above all staff who genuinely cares for kids development and wellbeing .
The children enjoy music activities and getting their hands stuck in with sensory play each day.
They learn to eat and experience
cultures through food.
All of those are invaluable experiences !

All three of my children have attended the Eastleigh setting and I can't emphasize enough how great Linda and all the staff have been. My girls have attended from a year and my son from 2 years old and all have settled in quickly. Some of the older staff have looked after all three of my children and
my heart is at peace when they are left at nursery knowing my children are happy and well taken care of. The management team are very responsive to any queries and resolve them quickly.

Our daughter has been attending Hopscotch Eastleigh since she was four months old. From day she has been made to feel special and has grown and developed so much over the past five months.


I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough. The management and staff are amazing and also make us, as parents

feel very welcome and they just absolutely cherish our daughter, which makes us happy that we made the right decision on choosing this nursery.


Our daughter always arrives at nursery smiling and is always happy to see the staff and that means a lot to us as parents.

My little boy started Hopscotch Eastleigh in May. He is currently in the toddler room and he absolutely loves it. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and I feel at ease leaving my little one there. His speech has improved, his social skills are getting so much better and he is generally very happy!

A local nursery with a caring staff. A great catering team providing fresh meals. Experienced all four rooms. Friendly management team. Good parking and access or very convenient if you live in central Eastleigh.

My daughter has been attending the nursery since she was 10 months old, she's now 3 and still absolutely loving it there. The staff are amazing, they all take the time to personally welcome your child or say hello as you enter. Updates are provided throughout the day and safeguarding is a top priority.
My daughter enjoys the meals that provide a healthy balanced diet and meet her dietary requirements. We always enjoy the parent welcome days, they're always a lot of fun.
I know my daughter will miss her time there when she has to go to school next year.

I could not recommend Hopscotch Eastleigh enough! The staff are fantastic - so friendly, happy and enthusiastic and they genuinely care about the children. My daughter had major surgery just before starting and they went above and beyond to make the necessary adjustments for her. The staff take the
time to really invest in the children’s development and work on their targets alongside the parents. We never feel rushed at drop off/pick up and get lots of updates throughout the day via an app. The setting feels like a home from home and we are so happy we chose Hopscotch for our daughter.

My daughter has been attending Hopscotch Eastleigh since November 2022 and absolutely loves it. The staff are kind and caring towards the children and really supportive of parents' preferences. Her development has been incredible since she started in the baby room at 11 months. She has since moved through
Waddlers and is now in the Toddler room and in all three rooms, she has had a wonderful time and the staff have been brilliant. Most recently, they have supported us with preparing her for a new sibling by talking about it with her, reading lots of books and doing lots of role play. And they've also helped us with potty training. The nursery provides a varied healthy menu and lovely outdoor spaces, as well as lots of opportunities for messy and creative play. I cannot fault Hopscotch and would recommend it to everyone.

Great communication from staff, they really get to know the individual children and their interests. My son loves attending and has made lots of friends. All the rooms are focused on the different she children’s and new improvements continue to be made, would recommend to anyone!

Since my son started at this nursery, I’ve been impressed by the high standards of care development the staff are giving. I love how involved they are with the children but also give excellent customer service and are professionals. Would recommend it to anyone!

We couldn’t recommend Hopscotch Eastleigh enough. Our son has been attending for almost 2 years and absolutely loves it. The staff are incredible - every one of them, no matter which room they look after, takes such care of every child. They are all so friendly and take such pride in what they do. They
have nursery-wide activities that parents are invited to which has been such a lovely touch and has given us a wonderful insight into our toddler's life at nursery. They are so thorough at pick up and take such pride in telling us what he has been up to each day. The facilities are also amazing, with such lovely rooms and outdoor spaces for the children. We have such a happy boy at Hopscotch!

Our little girl was at Hopscotch from 9 months until 2.5 years, 4 days/week, when we relocated at which point we were truly devastated to have to leave. Everyone at the nursery is wonderful, warm and friendly they spend so much time getting to know the needs of the child and adapting to help them grow
and flourish - our little girl thrived during her time there. They do a brilliant job of updating parents on what they are up to during the day with the app including photos, videos and notes as well as taking the time at the start and end of the day to talk, I never felt rushed. The staff are also great at responding to concerns and were particularly patient in helping our girl sleep (which she needs but does not always want). They also take them out on little trips and go outside every day. The transitions between rooms as she grew went so smoothly and the facilities are brilliant. They are a nursery constantly looking to improve the experience for all. Thank you to you all, we will miss you so much.

Hopscotch is one of the best in my opinion. All the staff say good morning and good night to the children as they come and go and all of the staff know each child by 1st name making it a more welcome feel. If you are ever unsure of something you can ask them and they usually can give you the answer
right away or by the end of the school day. The on-site cook is very friendly and cooks up beautiful meals (+ gives you ideas for new foods to cook at home that they will actually eat! The nursery manager is very supportive and helps you with any questions you may have. In the rooms, they do a lot of activities and it's always different things and this is something we like the little one is there for 3 days. It's a nice setting think you should go have a show around and get a feel for the place and see how little one takes to it.

Eastleigh Nursery itself is fantastic. However, Hopscotch management has recently changed their invoicing system causing an incredibly tight turnaround to be able to pay the company and late fees are charged. The finance department has shown no care and is not reading my emails properly in their contact
with me.
Eastleigh Nursery, however, is brilliant. The manager does a wonderful job and I trust the staff within the facility to care for, support and educate my child. This should be a 5* review but Hopscotch Management have brought it down.

I have worked for Hopscotch since 2022 and have worked in early years for over 15 years gaining lots of experience and developing my knowledge during this time. I am very passionate about sharing stories and my love of caring for animals. You may often hear me burst into song during the day, as I love to communicate with the children through music.


I am a mummy to a child with additional needs and understand the support needed for the whole family and the importance of supporting children in individual ways.


I am really excited to continue my professional journey with Hopscotch in my new role as Nursery Manager.
