Located in a former social club, the beautiful Victorian property that is now Hopscotch Eastleigh has been extensively refurbished to provide high-quality childcare. Located directly opposite the central park, and close to the town centre, the nursery has a private car park for easy drop-offs and pick-ups. The team regularly take advantage of the surroundings with trips organised to expand the children's experience within their local area.

When they're not 'out and about', their secure rear garden provides a variety of physical play elements to develop imaginative play. Outdoor play is an important foundation of learning, providing physical development alongside opportunities to explore, and learn how to manage risk. During Spring 2021 they will be creating a second garden, accessed directly from the under-twos area opening up free-flow play opportunities.

Inside, the spacious rooms allow continuous provision and free flow movement, and the amazing team work hard to ensure that all children are engaged with purposeful play so that each and every one of them is supported to develop their full potential. To support this, they work in partnership with parents to ensure that the needs of all families are met. Hopscotch Day Nurseries have been providing exceptional childcare across multiple settings in the Gosport / Fareham area since 2005, and are very proud of the high standard of care they provide. Having done a lot of research and visited several nurseries, we decided that Hopscotch Eastleigh was the one for our daughter. Upon visiting, the staff were welcoming, friendly and very informative and interacted with our daughter. The rooms are large, spacious and very light. The outdoor roof top garden
is a brilliant addition to allow the children to bring the outside in. Since starting last year, our daughter has been happy and grown in confidence, her vocabulary at only 18 months is vast. My daughter had an intolerance to dairy which meant she started on a dairy free diet, which was nutritious and near enough the same menu as the other children. Thank you Hopscotch for making the process seamless and giving our daughter the opportunity to thrive in such a lovely, interactive and friendly environment.

I was recommended Hopscotch by a friend and I’m so glad I now send my baby here. The staff are so friendly and welcoming (which helps with my mum guilt). I wish I had started her sooner!
Every member of staff I have met has been so helpful and friendly and so lovely with her.
Her key worker is so
efficient with uploading photos and observations of her which is so lovely to see.
Thank you for being so kind and caring and making an anxious mum feel loads better!

My son started attending this nursery at the beginning of the year and has loved it from the very first visit. The rooms are all big, light and airy with plenty of inviting areas for play and all kept very clean. He adores spending time outside and is making friends with other children who attend and
is progressing very well. He has also really bonded with the staff working there and comes home full of stories of the fun things he has done.
The food is nutritious, varied and interesting and is included, making it very good value for money in my opinion.
Management are friendly, welcoming and hands on with the children, the general manager seems to really love her job and always makes time to speak to parents and children.
I really love the consistent communication and the whole package has really lived up to expectation. I’m really so happy that we found this gem of a nursery; my daughter will also be attending when she is a little older. I cannot fault them.

Hopscotch Day Nursery is like another family your child has gotten.
The staff members are understanding.
I underestimated the effect (not only for the child now but for me as a mother) of leaving your child in the nursery at the start. A place where you can't be with your child to take care of him/her
as you best understand your child.
But with time, am getting less worried and thanks to the staff, they seem to be very understanding.

My daughter comes home everyday telling me about all the activities she has been doing. She is always happy to go to nursery and sometimes does not want to come home. All the staff are very informative about her day at nursery and if I need to talk to anyone about my daughters care I am able to.

Lovely staff who are very welcoming, my son loves all the staff. There's so much to do inside and out. My son really enjoys the food that's provided, he comes home and tells me how much of an amazing day he's had after each session. A happy place to be.

My son was moved here in October 2022 due to staffing issues at another nursery. We were nervous to move him, but the team at Eastleigh understood our predicament and helped to organise the changeover, and we couldn’t be happier with our decision. Every single staff member we encounter, from management
to my son’s key worker, is passionate, kind, and eager to support any needs my son may have. My son is so excited to go to preschool every day, and it’s lovely to see how much his development has improved since moving here. The nursery has been recently renovated, so it’s really modern and has excellent facilities on offer. Overall, I really recommend Hopscotch Eastleigh - thank you to the team!

My child’s development was mainly due to the nursery. He was not talking much when he joined the nursery. But the amazing efforts from the nursery staff, I can see that on my child now. The staff are very friendly and supportive.

My son has attended this nursery setting for almost 2 years and is now currently transitioning throughout preschool to prepare for school starting in September. I am more than happy with his nursery and preschool experience, the staff have been fabulous throughout, are really friendly and have helped

My daughter has attended this setting for a little over 2 years now and has grown so much in that time, in more ways than one, and it's all thanks to the amazing staff. There have been many positive changes in those 2 years and it will be an extremely sad day when my daughter has to leave.

We absolutely love Hopscotch Nursery! My children have been attending the setting since 2014 and both have got so much out of their time there. We’ve seen lots of changes over the years and things just keep getting better! There’s now lots of visibility around what the children are doing and with the
introduction of the app, we get a fab insight into what our son is doing day to day.
The team are brilliant and always so positive and thoughtful at handover.
The children get to see so much (ie tadpoles turning into frogs, caterpillars turning into butterflies, even trips to the library!) that they wouldn’t necessarily be able to see at home, and I know lots of effort goes into setting these things up behind the scenes.

Hopscotch is wonderful! From the moment I took my then 9-month old for a look around, it has felt like the right place for us. My daughter is now 3 and thriving. Her speech and language, ability to play and share with others and eat nicely, whilst also using manners, have all significantly improved
since starting nursery. She has consistently been with 1 key person, whom she adores and has followed her journey since she started. The nursery has accommodated my daughter's needs and food intolerance and make sure to prepare delicious meals that she can safely eat. Every single member of staff are loving, kind, knowledgeable and attentive both to the child and their families. They supported us when my daughter's dad passed away and have been nothing but professional and yet caring. My daughter is always so excited and happy to go to nursery and is always happy and chatty about her time spent there. I truly couldn't recommend Eastleigh Hopscotch enough.

My daughter has been attending Hopscotch Eastleigh since March 2021, after moving from another setting. She has come on in leaps and bounds since we have moved and really enjoys the time she spends with the girls and other children in the room. She is also eager to come in and is always happy and bouncing
when I pick her up. Great Nursery, all the staff are wonderful and can't do enough.

The setting is fantastic and my daughter has been so happy there since the day she started. She has excellent freshly cooked food which is fantastic as it helps with trying new things (they care about nutrition too), she has fun every day.. what more could I want?! The staff are amazing and she loves
each one of them.
I really couldn’t be happier with how they all treat her and how genuinely happy they are to see her every time she goes in. I wouldn’t want her to be placed anywhere else and am so lucky that such a lovely team look after her while I have to work. Thank you guys as always - if there was a higher mark than excellent, this nursery and the whole team would be awarded it in every department!

I have worked for Hopscotch since 2022 and have worked in early years for over 15 years gaining lots of experience and developing my knowledge during this time. I am very passionate about sharing stories and my love of caring for animals. You may often hear me burst into song during the day, as I love to communicate with the children through music.


I am a mummy to a child with additional needs and understand the support needed for the whole family and the importance of supporting children in individual ways.


I am really excited to continue my professional journey with Hopscotch in my new role as Nursery Manager.
