Located in a former social club, the beautiful Victorian property that is now Hopscotch Eastleigh has been extensively refurbished to provide high-quality childcare. Located directly opposite the central park, and close to the town centre, the nursery has a private car park for easy drop-offs and pick-ups. The team regularly take advantage of the surroundings with trips organised to expand the children's experience within their local area.

When they're not 'out and about', their secure rear garden provides a variety of physical play elements to develop imaginative play. Outdoor play is an important foundation of learning, providing physical development alongside opportunities to explore, and learn how to manage risk. During Spring 2021 they will be creating a second garden, accessed directly from the under-twos area opening up free-flow play opportunities.

Inside, the spacious rooms allow continuous provision and free flow movement, and the amazing team work hard to ensure that all children are engaged with purposeful play so that each and every one of them is supported to develop their full potential. To support this, they work in partnership with parents to ensure that the needs of all families are met. Hopscotch Day Nurseries have been providing exceptional childcare across multiple settings in the Gosport / Fareham area since 2005, and are very proud of the high standard of care they provide. My little boy loves preschool and all the staff. I love the fact they take the time to have 1-1 sessions with activities and share this on the app. The staff know what each individual likes and dislikes, and if there is ever a difficult morning, they encourage him with his favourite toy or explain some

Hopscotch Day Nursery in Eastleigh is fantastic. We are continually impressed with the level of care and attention staff have given our daughter since she started. We really feel like they know her, all her likes and dislikes and all her quirks. Watching our daughter at a recent open day, it was clear
she really enjoys her time at nursery and feels at home there. I love the fact that they make the most of the outside space, even with the under-2s, and it was lovely when they took some of the babies to rhyme time at the local library. Overall the staff are friendly and basic safety standards are met. My daughter loves it at this nursery and I feel comfortable that she is in safe hands. Facilities are great and nursery is clean and new looking. Nursery is understaffed however and this has effected the amount of activities/outings.
They have recently started taking the babies out to the library however and seem to take on board feedback.

Eastleigh hopscotch is a very good nursery. They let the parents know what happens day to day with the child and what they have been up to that day. Also, they let the parents know if there are any concerns with the child and what the nursery and the parents can do about it like if the parents need
to get hold of the Health Visit staff or the doctor. They do home-cooked food which is fresh, and if there is anything they need for the child at nursery, they tell the parents what they need to bring in when the child is in the nursery next.

After moving from London to Eastleigh, and with a son who suffers from a list full of severe allergies and some health issues, selecting a nursery was nerve-wracking, and as first-time parents, we needed to find the perfect setting. I must say, we found the perfect setting, with Hopscotch Eastleigh,
from the moment we walked through the doors in August 2021. Every day that our son attends, we feel at ease and know he's in the best hands.
The team are amazing, attentive and alert; they know our son very well and treat him with love and care. They go above and beyond every day to ensure his safety and health are prioritised and keep me alerted of his progress.
Our son loves the setting, the staff and being with his friends. He has flourished, and we know this is because Hopscotch instill independence and helps him build his confidence; they treat every child like family.
I'd happily recommend the nursery to anyone, especially those parents who have children with dietary or health needs.

Having done a lot of research and visited several nurseries, we decided that Hopscotch Eastleigh was the one for our daughter. Upon visiting, the staff were welcoming, friendly and very informative and interacted with our daughter. The rooms are large, spacious and very light. The outdoor roof top garden
is a brilliant addition to allow the children to bring the outside in. Since starting last year, our daughter has been happy and grown in confidence, her vocabulary at only 18 months is vast. My daughter had an intolerance to dairy which meant she started on a dairy free diet, which was nutritious and near enough the same menu as the other children. Thank you Hopscotch for making the process seamless and giving our daughter the opportunity to thrive in such a lovely, interactive and friendly environment.

I was recommended Hopscotch by a friend and I’m so glad I now send my baby here. The staff are so friendly and welcoming (which helps with my mum guilt). I wish I had started her sooner!
Every member of staff I have met has been so helpful and friendly and so lovely with her.
Her key worker is so
efficient with uploading photos and observations of her which is so lovely to see.

My son started attending this nursery at the beginning of the year and has loved it from the very first visit. The rooms are all big, light and airy with plenty of inviting areas for play and all kept very clean. He adores spending time outside and is making friends with other children who attend and
is progressing very well. He has also really bonded with the staff working there and comes home full of stories of the fun things he has done.
The food is nutritious, varied and interesting and is included, making it very good value for money in my opinion.
Management are friendly, welcoming and hands on with the children, the general manager seems to really love her job and always makes time to speak to parents and children.
I really love the consistent communication and the whole package has really lived up to expectation. I’m really so happy that we found this gem of a nursery; my daughter will also be attending when she is a little older. I cannot fault them.

Hopscotch Day Nursery is like another family your child has gotten.
The staff members are understanding.
I underestimated the effect (not only for the child now but for me as a mother) of leaving your child in the nursery at the start. A place where you can't be with your child to take care of him/her
as you best understand your child.

My daughter comes home everyday telling me about all the activities she has been doing. She is always happy to go to nursery and sometimes does not want to come home. All the staff are very informative about her day at nursery and if I need to talk to anyone about my daughters care I am able to.

Hi, I am Linda the Manager of Eastleigh Hopscotch Nursery. I have been working for Hopscotch since 2011, where I started as a lunchtime assistant in the baby room at our Lee on Solent setting. I moved to our Eastleigh Nursery in 2022 as Deputy Manager to cover maternity leave. I am a qualified SENCO and am here to ensure that all children your child is given the best possible start in their own personal learning journey.


As a mum to 4 children, I understand how important it is to a parent to know that they will be leaving their children in a caring, safe, and secure place. I absolutely love coming to work every day and find it a privilege to be a part of each and every one of our children’s learning and development journeys. There is no better start to the day than seeing a child’s smiling face coming through our Nursery door ready for a fun-filled day, of exciting and learning-rich activities.
