Hopscotch Day Nursery Eastleigh

Our son was 9 months old when he started at Hopscotch, and the team in the baby room made the transition so much easier for both him and us. Everyone has been incredibly warm, welcoming, and caring from the very beginning. We truly appreciate all the support, attention, and kindness they have shown him.

We recently moved our daughter Harriet to Hopscotch Nursery after attending a different setting, and we are absolutely overjoyed with the difference it has made in her life. She is so happy and comes home every day in such a wonderful mood. We have noticed a huge positive change in her since joining.

Harriet truly loves coming to nursery and has thoroughly enjoyed all of the extra activities the nursery has included her in. The communication from the staff is absolutely outstanding, and they have genuinely taken the time to get to know our daughter so well.

Their attention to detail is phenomenal, and they have gone above and beyond to meet her individual needs. We couldn't be happier with the care, support, and nurturing environment Hopscotch provides. Thank you to all of the wonderful staff for making such a positive impact on Harriet's life!

Our twins started Hopscotch in December 2024, and were about 10 months old. They have had such a lovely time through babies, waddlers and now in toddlers. The care for them has been lovely and I know that when I'm at work they are safe and well looked after. They have been supportive with every milestone and encouraging the girls to develop. The girls seem to like the food provided and will try new things. The only annoying thing is the front door is not that friendly when you have a double buggy. Other than that I would recommend it for other families x

We have been using the nursery for nearly three years and it's a lovely friendly place that our child enjoys attending. It's a nice central location which allows for trips out to the park and the library and other small excursions, and the garden spaces are well appreciated. Staff are supportive and knowledgeable.

My daughter attends this nursery, and we couldn't be happier with our experience. She is naturally shy and a bit sensitive, and English is not her first language, so we were initially worried about how she would adapt.

However, from the very beginning, she has never had any problems settling in. The staff are incredibly kind, patient, and supportive, which has helped her feel safe and confident. She goes to nursery every day with enthusiasm and a smile, which means so much to us as parents.

We are truly grateful for the care and attention she receives, and we can clearly see how happy and comfortable she feels there.

We moved to Eastleigh and moved our daughter to Hopscotch into the Toddler room. She's been there a couple of months now and we've had a great experience so far. The settle sessions were informative and well structured, the staff are really lovely and got to know our daughter and her preferences/personality quickly.

Our daughter is excited to go to nursery each day she is in and is always happy when we pick her up. She knows the staff member's names now and seems happy and comfortable. We get a good sum up of what she's done each day and there is a good variety of indoor activities and outdoors play. They've got a good safeguarding policy as well, we feel safe leaving her. Really good experience overall.

We picked Hopscotch in Eastleigh for our daughter back in February 2025, she started when she was 4 months old.

We are so happy with our choice. The staff are brilliant and super friendly and our daughter loves it. She never goes in upset and is always exhausted due to the wide range of activities they offer the children.

The in house cook is amazing too and the menu is brilliant. As parents we would highly recommend this nursery to anyone.

Our baby joined last year, the scary whole process of transitioning back to work was made so much easier, knowing that our child was safe, loved going to and loving his time at nursery. The staff are amazing, caring and will go above and beyond. I love that I am informed every month, on where he is in terms of his EYFS journey. It helps us understand what we need to be doing at home to support our child as best we can. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone. I can't comment on value for money because I don't know what other nurseries are offering/ charging- I chose this nursery because it was the place I felt best suited what I expected and wanted from a nursery.

Our daughter has been at Hopscotch for slightly under two years and she loves it there. She has been in the Babies, Waddlers and Toddlers rooms in this time and both she and we (as parents) built up great personal relationships with staff, particularly her key workers.

She is greeted with enthusiasm every day which helps her to overcome any shyness quickly. She learned to count early on by using blocks with nursery, and her language really progressed. She comes home singing nursery rhymes, knowing all the words, and has memorised several books that we don't even own at home. I have no doubt that she has learned more being at Hopscotch than if it had just been us at home.

They take safeguarding seriously and I'm happy with the measures they have with e.g. access to the nursery. I am able to go into the room to see her in the environment, and pick-ups and drop-offs are efficient with a handover each day. They have plenty of time in the garden and she enjoys the food too!

Both of my children attend hopscotch day nursery in Eastleigh and they both LOVE it! All of the staff are fantastic and my girls are so happy to spend their mornings there. My youngest walks in with arms outstretched to her key people in the baby room. And my oldest has come on leaps and bounds and is thriving with the toddler team having been with hopscotch for the last 16 months. Highly recommend

And in the winter, bugs seemed to spread like wildfire which I feel is a hygiene problem. The nursery is not very clean in my opinion, or could certainly be cleaner.

My little girl has been attending Hopscotch Eastleigh since she was 7 months old, she is nearly 2 years old. From her time in the Baby room, through to Waddlers and now going for settle visits to the Toddler room. Since starting, I have been very pleased with her progress and all the activities that are on offer. The staff provide weekly roundups on the app at the end of the week, so us parents can see the activities the children have been involved in, which I love to see. I am also happy with the balanced and wide variety of food on offer, as this has given her opportunities to try things, she may not necessarily have at home. All the staff have been great with her and are enthusiastic in encouraging her to grow and develop. She absolutely loves Nursery and it is reassuring to know I can go to work and she is happy there. I cannot recommend the Nursery enough. Linda and the management team are so welcoming too. Thank you!

From my experience, it's best to speak directly with your child's key person or use the family app, as this helps to resolve things faster and ensures better communication. Meals are generally good, though there are quite a lot of crackers and similar snacks - more fresh, balanced options would be lovely. Since the nursery has its own kitchen, a bit more variety and a slightly heartier afternoon meal would make a real difference for children staying all day. Sometimes I notice children crying for longer before being comforted, and usually senior staff step in rather than assistants. Small details like wiping noses or noticing toilet signals could be improved. I appreciate the updates and photos in the app, though a bit more detailed feedback about each child's day would be helpful. Overall, I trust the team and can see that they care, but a little more consistency and attention to detail would make the experience even better.

The first 6 weeks at Hopscotch have been fantastic, we don't have any complaints and are very happy with the care our child is receiving. All staff are friendly and welcoming and keep is updated on the days activities. We look forward to continuing our journey through babies room and onwards. Thanks to all staff and management for a great experience so far.

The staff are absolutely amazing with my child and always providing updates on how she's doing I couldn't fault them if I tried. Olivia and the girls are always so happy and ready to help, the food is amazing and my child absolutely loves going in there every week!

The have the best of everything for the children from the equipment to the staff

All three of my children have attended the Eastleigh setting and I can't emphasize enough how great Linda and all the staff have been. My girls have attended from a year and my son from 2 years old and all have settled in quickly. Some of the older staff have looked after all three of my children and my heart is at peace when they are left at nursery knowing my children are happy and well taken care of. The management team are very responsive to any queries and resolve them quickly.
