Acre Wood Nursery School

Acre Wood holds a very special place in our hearts.

The staff are really friendly and offer our child a great opportunity to develop and try new experiences. He has really enjoyed the last 5 months being in their care and loves all the additional activities that the team lay on.

Great nursery with very caring staff. Lots of thought goes into the activities planned for the children. Management strikes a good tone in being helpful to working parents. Our child is very happy there.

My child has been very happy at Acre Wood. I am impressed with the following of EYFS topics and the commitment to the children shown by staff. They are very good at getting to know each child and handling things like transitions between rooms expertly.

My daughter has been at Acre Wood for several years now and still loves it. The staff are kind and nurturing and the food is great. I've never had any issues with Acre Wood. They really do go the extra mile!

We love Acre Wood. Our first child went there until he was 4, so we were very keen for our daughter to attend there too. It is such a reassurance to drop your child somewhere where you know they will be cared for so well - the staff are so kind and nurturing, and really look after your child individually. The staff are very friendly and approachable. Out of all the nurseries I've visited, it has the best atmosphere because the children are just having so much fun!

Our son loves going to nursery every day and often asks to go at the weekend! Our newborn will attend later this year, which we are looking forward to. The staff have been caring, accommodating and supportive. I have no doubt that they have played a huge part in developing our wonderful, cheeky, lovely little boy!

Acre Wood is a great nursery and provides an environment for little ones to thrive. My son enjoys going in each day and has always got a smile on his face at the end of the day. His speech and confidence have come on enormously over the last few months which I am sure is a result of his attendance at nursery. All the staff are so lovely and accommodating. Thank you to you all as I know you go above and beyond to make the children feel welcome and included!

Absolutely love Acre Wood. Really lovely staff, nice atmosphere, nice facilities. They also offer extra activities such as music, French, etc. My son is very happy here and has made lots of friends.

My youngest daughter is now at Acre Wood. My older daughter has already been through and is now at school. Both have enjoyed their time at the nursery. My daughters were always buzzing afterward. The staff have always been very approachable and friendly and I have seen the development in both my children. I would certainly recommend it.

Both my daughters attend Acre Wood nursery and I only have kind words to say about it. The staff there are absolutely wonderful and my daughters have developed so much since attending. I would definitely recommend this nursery to anyone who wants their children to thrive in such a lovely nursery setting.

We have enrolled all three of our children at Acre Wood and couldn’t be happier with the nursery. The staff are so caring and look after the children with so much love. We always know that when we pick them up they will be full of smiles and wonderful stories of the fun they have had all day. Our children have made friends for life at Acre Wood, as have we with other parents. We would highly recommend this nursery to anyone with little ones.

Both my daughters have attended Acre Wood and have always felt so well cared for. The teachers and carers form such special bonds with the children and feel like extended family. The crafts and activities they provide keep them well entertained. The teaching helps set them up for school life well and the chef has been declared the best chef in the world by my youngest daughter which is high praise indeed! I’m already sad thinking about saying goodbye this summer when she moves onto school.

I would highly recommend Acre Wood Nursery. A great family-friendly nursery filled with love, laughter, and happiness. If you want a nursery where the staff have so much love and time for your child then Acre Wood is for you. Our little boy has been going since 12 months old and is now 3. He is extremely happy and loves going. The staff are all very helpful and knowledgeable and really know each child, their personalities and interests and they have regular focus weeks on each child. His days are so varied, we get lots of photos and videos of what he is up to. We have a child with food allergies so knowing all the food is made fresh on-site gives us a lot of reassurance and the menus are always changing/varied. The children get taken on outings to the park and to explore nature which our little boy loves. Thank you Acre Wood Team!

We have been absolutely delighted with the care that our daughter has received at Acre Wood Nursery. She’s been there since she was four months old and all the staff there have helped her grow and develop. You can really feel their love for all the children there. The food is fantastic and our daughter really enjoys the amazing outside space. We’re excited to see her develop more and make use of their other great facilities and exciting classes. Pick up and drop-offs are very practical as they have a generous parking area and it always goes smoothly. I know many of the other parents, all are very friendly, it’s a great family atmosphere there, even under the difficult circumstances of the past year and a half they’ve excelled in keeping it a friendly and inviting haven for our children. Quite simply, we love the place.

Acre Wood Nursery School is absolutely fantastic with caring and friendly staff who you can really trust to look after your children. Both my boys always come back so happy after a day here. They are always so accommodating particularly during the pandemic and the various lockdowns, they continued to provide exemplary care during this difficult time.

I’ve never regretted our decision to send both of our girls to Acre Wood. From the start, I had a good feeling about the nursery and my instinct has been spot on - they’ve been amazing with both our daughters and met their individual needs in countless different ways. It’s very evident that they really care about the children and that they want them to do well, but also that they want to develop all parts of their personality, their caring sides, their cheekiness, their creativity. Every day they come home tired but very happy and I’m going to be really sad when they move on to big school! Thank you Acre Wood, to the manager and all the wonderful staff.

Our son joined the nursery at 11 months old having been a lockdown baby and settled extremely quickly. It’s clear how much he loves the staff and gets really excited when he sees them. There’s a great social circle with parents too, and staff have so much love and care for the children in their care.

Acre Wood feels like home for our children. The staff know the children so well and do a fantastic job of making them happy, giving them fun-filled days, and really helping them to learn! We have seen our children thrive from Acre Wood. The activities are so creative and the garden is a wonderful environment. We love that our children get to go outside every day when they are at Acre Wood, come rain or shine! We are looking forward to sending our third baby here in a few months time too!

My daughter has attended Acre Wood since March 21 and settled in very quickly and is so happy there. Her development has come on lots since joining nursery which has been so lovely to see! She gets to take part in so many activities, messy play, garden time, and dancing to name a few which she absolutely loves. The staff are all so friendly and are really passionate about all the children that attend their nursery. They come up with creative and seasonal ways to have fun each day and take amazing care of the children. We are so happy we chose Acre Wood for our daughter and would recommend them to friends and family without hesitation.
