Acre Wood Nursery School

My daughter has had some difficulties settling in, however with support from her key worker, teachers and the manager, she has been able to settle in. The staff have been very open to using strategies advised to them and excellent in observing, communicating my daughter's daily emotions and interaction skills.

From the moment the door opened at Acre Wood Nursery School 3 years ago, I knew this was the nursery for my daughter. The staff are amazing, they have nurtured both myself as a mother and my daughter on every level from caring to teaching and the welfare of my daughter. The staff have always been extremely helpful with advice whenever I have asked for help. I have always felt it to be a very safe and caring environment. I feel the staff really do have the best interest at heart for my child and for myself.

Acre Wood Nursery School really do have the balance of learning through play and realising the potential in all the children. Helping them grow as individuals in preparation for Infant School.

My son is now 3 and joined Acre Wood when he was 5 months old, he has and continues to thrive at this nursery. The staff are fantastic, there are lots of additional activities available and he has continued to learn and develop. I can often identify what the children are working on at nursery as my son is keen to share it with me and I then encourage him from home. In all the time he has attended, we have had nothing but positive experiences, he has developed some lovely relationships with his key workers, who all take pride in his development. It's reassuring to know, not only is my son happy here but that the staff are proud of him when he learns something new, and then continue to build on it. My son is not the most confident child but his confidence has grown and he is so much better now, no doubt the staff have helped him with this. I would highly recommend this nursery.

Both of my children have been/go to this nursery and they both have been very happy. I feel a nursery is all about the staff and everyone we have dealt with at Acre Wood have been great. My daughter took a while to settle as it was a new environment but the staff were very caring and even changed her key worker to someone she had a better connection with (I did not have to ask for this.) The activities provided for my son in the younger years room are amazing and there is always something new to keep him interested. On a practical note, the location and parking is really convenient.

Lovely nursery really warm and caring staff. Lots of great toys and activities with an excellent range of things for the children to do every day. Really good settle in sessions helped make the transition to going to nursery easier, so my son settled in really well at 9 months old and loves his nursery, he's been there nearly a year now. Staff are excellent very professional and helpful.

Lovely setting and very friendly staff. My son has recently joined the nursery and he has settled quickly. The reports that I receive on his day is great and I know that he will develop well with the planned daily activities. Overall really happy with our choice of nursery.
