We couldn't speak more highly of Acre Wood Nursery in Amersham. We have two boys there who spend two days per week each at the nursery. The staff are the highlight of this nursery, kind, dedicated, enthusiastic and caring. They are always providing fun and engaging activities for the children, and our eldest son enjoys being there so much he is excited to go in the morning. There is a nice community of children and parents engaged with the nursery as well. We also love coach Ross's football lesson on a Wednesday! If you are looking for full or part-time nursery for your children with a great environment, facilities and staff, I highly recommend Acre Wood.

We have been with the nursery now 5 months having put my baby into their care when she was 1. She has come along leaps and bounds, encouraging her to explore, learn and walk! They get to know each child, and on the wall in class have their pictures and little notes about each child's likes and dislikes, such a helpful tool for when other staff come in to their room to help and support. The approach has been relaxed and nurturing, which I think has helped my little one build her own independence and confidence. She has no fear, is happy being around the bigger children and loves the garden. So much so she sometimes refuses to go back inside trying to hide, and the staff have to chase after her which she finds very funny. Logistics I hadn't found a nursery like the acre wood offer, want schools hours, want longer days, want just term time, want a discounted rate when you take holidays, they offer it all! You won't be disappointed if your child goes to acre wood.

We have had two children go through Acre Wood and our experience has been fantastic from start to finish. The staff are caring, thoughtful and do so much for the children. We could not have wished for a better environment for our children to grow up in.

The most brilliant, caring, fun nursery! All three of my daughters have gone to Acrewood from a young age up until Reception and have had the best time there. Acrewood is a really special place where children make fantastic friendships with other kids and their adult carers. My kids all went in (and continue to go in) super happy. The carers are exceptional and genuinely care about your children. The kids are safe, happy, cared for and entertained. Additionally to this, I recently had some health issues and the nursery were FANTASTIC. They went above and beyond to support me and my children. I went into hospital/treatment knowing my kids were happy. I owe this nursery a lot and would recommend it to anyone looking for a nursery in the area.

Delighted with this nursery and glad we made the switch for our youngest here (from another local nursery). The staff are fantastic here and work hard to give it a real family feel. Our daughter is very happy here and has built strong bonds with her carers. They also go above and beyond to help parents, recognising the financial cost of childcare, and trying to be accommodating in any way they can. Our kids have gone to three different nurseries and this has been our favourite. The food is also amazing and every day we hear how our daughter has eaten better than we have!

We could not be happier with the care and support that the Acre Wood team have shown for our son. Across each of the rooms, the staff have formed brilliant bonds with him, helping him to settle in and to express himself. We really appreciate the regular updates on how he is doing, and we have always felt supported when challenges have popped up. It is clear that the team are hugely invested in the growth, development and happiness of the children, which makes for a wonderfully welcoming and joyful environment.

Such a lovely nursery, my daughter adores all the staff and is genuinely so happy to arrive in the mornings. It takes a weight off my mind knowing shes happy there all day. Great food, fun activities, lovely outdoor space. Thank you!

Our son has been very happy at Acre Wood for the last 3 years. The staff are very caring and there is a real homely atmosphere. The extra curricular classes are an added bonus, particularly football and woodwork. The Christmas show and summer party are both annual highlights.

Currently have our second child in Acre Wood and have had very positive experiences for both. Every member of staff is amazing, kind and warm. They seem genuinely happy to be there every day which I think speaks volumes and makes for a very happy environment for the children. Particular shout outs go to Sophie, Danni, Gemma, Teri and Phoebe for their special care and attention to my two but I could honestly list all the staff for different reasons. They are all fab. Thanks for everything over the last 4 years!

Our daughter has been attending AcreWood Nursery for a couple of years now at least. She loves it. All staff are very kind and attentive and just want the best for our child. There are always different things going on at AcreWood and play and learning encompasses indoor and outdoor play. Our daughter describes each teacher/key worker as her friend. The nursery is also very accommodating on any changes. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Both of my children attend Acre Wood having moved from a different nursery when we moved house. Both settled in very quickly and I think that is a testament to how lovely the staff are and how quickly our children made relationships with their key workers. Their key workers know them extremely well and I trust their judgment. The nursery has a lovely close family run feel to it and I feel confident that they are being looked after and are enjoying themselves.

The nursery has a homely vibe and my son enjoys going to nursery every day. The staff are so engaging and I'm super happy that they will be guiding my child through his early years. The regular app posts really help us as parents see what the children are up to on a day-to-day basis and they also capture memories that we can keep. It's a fantastic nursery and would highly recommend it to any parents.

My daughter has been at Acre Wood for over a year now and she absolutely loves it. The staff are fantastic and really go above and beyond to look after the children. All feedback is taken on board brilliantly and they are very swift to make amends as needed. My daughter never wants to come home as she always has such a good time there and actually misses her key workers when she doesn't see them. For us, it really has been like a home away from home for her and has really taken the stress away of going back to work.

Both my children have been part of the Acrewood community and have really enjoyed their time there. The staff are kind, energetic, supportive and really engage with the children. The nursery is flexible and has always supported us when we needed extra hours.

My son has attended Acre Wood Nursery since March 2023 when he was 9 months old. His every need and more has always been met. He's happy and thriving at the nursery - being cared for by the most amazing ladies, who he adores. I feel at ease going to work knowing that my son will be happy and safe - which isn't easy as a parent! I've always been kept up to date about his progress and everything that he has achieved whilst I've been at work. The best nursery there is!

Great staff, great location. All three of my kids have been here. All loved it. One is still there now and I won't move her. Any issues have been dealt with swiftly. Good communication, lovely photos on the app.

Such a fantastic nursery. I've had two children go here, one has now moved onto school but moved on very well prepared. But it's not just about the preparation, they show love and care for all the children, teach them all sorts from sharing to colouring, painting, woodwork and events like Christmas or the Olympics. You name it. My second child will shortly leave Acre Wood and I'm dreading the day as we will miss so much the lovely, kind and caring members of the team who have helped us so much and given so much to our children. If you're reading this wondering which nursery to send your children to, this is the one. You would not regret it. I never have.

Both our boys have been in Acre Woods care over the past few years and we couldn't have been happier with the care and support they have received from all the staff. Lots of fun and varied activities developing different skills helping to build well-rounded children, equipped for the the transition to school. The staff are professional but with a loving, caring touch, always looking out for the wellbeing and safety of the children. The flexibility from various external events such as COVID has been great and really helpful for two working parents. Couldn't recommend them more highly and will be sad when our youngest leaves for school in a few weeks.

Excellent staff, great nursery. My son has been with this nursery for nearly 3 years, since he was a baby and now he is ready for school! He enjoyed coming to the nursery, the staff looked after him and offered him all the support he needed to transform from a caterpillar to a butterfly! I am very fond of the staff here, I can't say enough thank you for all the amazing work they are doing.

I would highly recommend Acre Wood Nursery. The staff are so nurturing and the care they provide all children is amazing. There are always plenty of activities, including trips out. The children all seem to be happy to be there.
